At first I saw the comments of many people about this series, but it was more the exaggeration that made it a trend than what I thought I was going to see according to those comments, yes it is a terrifying series, just thinking about the facts themselves and that comes out of a human being, with feelings, with personality, with childhood, adolescence and maturity, with family and growth like every human being.

Within the interviews with the first actor who gives life to the character of Jeff Dahmer, the well-known Evan Peters, I say that the main objective of the series, from the director to his performance, was always to reveal the story from the perspective of the victims and their victims. relatives, from the suffering caused by racism, homophobia and classism of those years, in the authorities that should play a protective role, "Please do not boast Dahmer, he had no love for anyone."

But here goes my opinion, I started watching it together with my partner who is a doctor, but when we are watching something together, we are silent, we only make short comments, without making conclusions, in the first chapter, it seemed normal to me, why ?, because you can see what this murderer is capable of, what his compulsiveness leads him to do without remorse and nature, as if nothing mattered to him but his satisfaction, it made me want to continue watching, it's a story, it's wanting to know more of his story and want to know what led him to be like this, because he was not born a murderer.

In the other subsequent chapters, it is when you begin to see his childhood, the treatment and behavior of his parents, the way Dahmer carefully observes his parents and absorbs everything he sees, his curiosity in his father's work and obviously the trauma that the child begins to have; in the plot I observe laughter, normal behavior, seriousness at the same time, capacity for analysis, to put together strategies, in his solitude, he plans and organizes his steps, knows where to live, knows who to choose, but in his impulses, he does not analyze what to say , sometimes it is spontaneous and that's it, even with the authorities.

Dahmer had episodes of love, affection, company, he had the feeling that they understood him and instead of action, he had a reaction to those feelings, he got to relate to friends, but he was always the weird one, the different one, because simply, He was still him, with his personality without filters, without empathy.

For me, Evan Peters did an impeccable job and a masterful performance, if you compare him with the real Jeffrey Dahmer he has a spectacular resemblance.

All this history leads us to ask ourselves a question: was Jeffrey Dahmer born like this or was he the product of a broken and unstable family environment? To answer this we can take certain aspects and reflect on it; The first is undoubtedly the genetic character, seeing that his father during his youth also had compulsive thoughts but did not develop them, his mother taking some antidepressants that are known as teratogenic (causes fetal anomalies), however, it is clear and marked by Jeff's solitary character, the abandonment of his mother, and consequently of his father, the need for love he had, his own prejudice about homosexuality and also the taste for taxidermy. In short, it is THE RECIPE TO BE A SOCIOPATH! We will not be able to know how his life would have been if he did not have one or another factor, what we can associate are all these aspects towards his character.

Maternal abandonment creates in men a feeling of emotional instability, in fact, men abandoned by their mother tend to have short-term relationships, on the other hand, even in 2022 being homosexual in some Eastern and Latin cultures is seen with suspicion, with machismo and in an immoral way, we can imagine what it was like in those years. we did determine that Jeff did not have the mental capacity to reflect on it on his own, he had thousands of feelings and thoughts of personal confrontation that led him to feed a compulsion to a greater extent, and that this happened in full development of the conscious, personality and sexuality , made the outcome fatal.

No, Jeff was not crazy, but yes, he had major chronic psychiatric problems, which were never treated, were never listened to and grew as a result of deplorable acts like those that occurred.

Al principio vi los comentarios de muchas personas acerca de esta serie, pero más fue la exageración que hizo que haya sido tendencia que lo que pensé que iba a ver según esos comentarios, sí es una serie terrorífica, con solo pensar en los hechos en sí y que salga de un ser humano, con sentimientos, con personalidad, con niñez, adolescencia y madurez, con familia y crecimientos como todo ser humano.

Dentro de las entrevistas realizadas al primer actor quien da vida al personaje de Jeff Dahmer, el conocido Evan Peters, refiere que el principal objetivo de la serie desde el director hasta su actuación siempre fue develar la historia desde la visión de las víctimas y sus familiares, desde el sufrimiento ocasionado por el racismo, la homofobia y el clasismo de aquellos años, en las autoridades que debían ejercer un rol protector, " Por favor no vanaglorien a Dahmer, el no tuvo amor por nadie".

Pero ahí va mi opinión, la comencé a ver junto con mi pareja quien es médico, pero cuando estamos viendo algo juntos, estamos en silencio, solo hacemos cortos comentarios, sin hacer conclusiones, en el primer capítulo, me pareció normal, ¿Por qué?, porque ya se ve lo que este asesino es capaz, lo que su compulsividad lo lleva a hacer sin remordimiento y naturaleza, como si nada le importa, sino su satisfacción, me dieron ganas de seguir viendo, es una historia, es querer saber más de su historia y querer saber qué lo llevó a ser así, porque no nació asesino.

En los demás capítulos subsiguientes, es cuando se empieza a ver su infancia, el trato y comportamiento de sus padres, la manera de cómo Dahmer observa detenidamente a sus padres y absorbe todo lo que ve, su curiosidad en el trabajo del padre y obviamente el trauma que empieza a tener el niño aquel; en la trama observo risas, comportamiento normal, a la vez seriedad, capacidad de análisis, de armar estrategias, en su soledad, planifica y organiza sus pasos, sabe dónde vivir, sabe a quién escoger, pero en sus impulsos, no analiza qué decir, a veces es espontáneo y ya, incluso con las autoridades.

Dahmer tuvo episodios de amor, de cariño, de compañía, tuvo la sensación de que lo comprendían y en vez de acción, tenía reacción a esos sentimientos, se llegó a relacionar con amistades, pero siempre era el raro, el diferente, porque simplemente, no dejaba de ser él, con su personalidad sin filtros, sin empatía.

Para mí, Evan Peters hizo un impecable trabajo y una magistral actuación, si lo comparan con el real Jeffrey Dahmer tiene un parecido espectacular.

Toda esta historia nos lleva a realizarnos una pregunta ¿Jeffrey Dahmer nació así o fue producto de un quebrantado e inestable ambiente familiar?, para responder a ello podemos tomar ciertos aspectos y reflexionar sobre ello; El primero es sin duda el carácter genético, al ver que su padre durante su juventud también tuvo pensamientos compulsivos pero no llegó a desarrollarlos, su madre tomando medicamentos algunos antidepresivos que son conocidos como teratogénicos ( causas anomalías fetales), sin embargo, es claro y marcado el carácter solitario de Jeff, el abandono de su madre, y consecuentemente de su padre, la necesidad de amor que tenía, el propio prejuicio sobre la homosexualidad y además el gusto por la taxidermia. en definitiva es ¡LA RECETA PARA SER SOCIÓPATA¡, no podremos saber cómo hubiese sido su vida de no tener uno que otro factor, lo que si podemos asociar son todos estos aspectos hacia su carácter.

El abandono materno crea en los hombres generan un sentimiento de inestabilidad emocional, de hecho, los hombres abandonados por su madre tienden a tener relaciones de corta duración, por otra parte, aun en el 2022 ser homosexual en algunas culturas orientales y latinas es visto con recelo, con machismo y de forma inmoral, podremos imaginarnos como era en aquellos años. sí determinamos que Jeff no tenía la capacidad mental de reflexionar por sí solo de ello, tenía miles de sentimientos y pensamientos de confrontación personal que lo llevaban a alimentar con mayor medida una compulsión, y que eso sucediera en pleno desarrollo del consiente, personalidad y sexualidad, hizo que el desenlace era fatal.

No, Jeff no estaba loco, pero si, tenía grandes problemas psiquiátricos crónicos, que nunca fueron tratados, nunca fueron escuchados y crecieron como cultivo de actos deplorables como los acontecidos.

¡Pero EY! frase que siempre repetía era, " no los odiaba, no sentía odio, los amaba y no quería que me dejaran. Quería que hicieran lo que yo quisiera"

Son claros rasgos de una disociación de personalidad, de una compulsión, de una gran inestabilidad mental y de mucho por decir que nunca fue dicho. por ello, podremos entender por qué Jeff Dahmer hizo lo que hizo, pero eso no lo hace inocente, tampoco un héroe, menos una víctima, solo refleja lo importante de la salud mental, de la familia, del entendimiento y la comunicación con nuestros hijos, de la ayuda a tiempo, del poder escuchar, no oír, sino escuchar lo que quiere decir más allá de oír: estoy bien papa o mamá.
