Good evening to the entire Hive community and those horror movie fans. As I commented in the last review I did of Movie Review: WHEN EVIL LURKS (2023) / Reseña de película: CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD (2023) ENG/ESP, I wanted to see the other film by this undoubtedly great horror filmmaker Demian Rugna, ATERRADOS (TERRIFIED). I was struck by the fact that I liked the other one so much, being predisposed to a big disappointment and to my surprise it was not.

Buenas noches a toda la comunidad de Hive y a aquellos fanáticos de películas de terror. Como comenté en la última reseña que hice de Movie Review: WHEN EVIL LURKS (2023) / Reseña de película: CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD (2023) ENG/ESP, quería ver la otra película de este sin duda gran director de cine de terror Demian Rugna, ATERRADOS. Me llamó la atención que me haya gustado tanto la otra, estando predispuesta a una gran decepción y para mi sorpresa no fue así.

This movie is from 2017, its director as I mentioned before is Demian Rugna, it's Argentina, so I recommend that if you can put Spanish subtitles on it, do it just in case XD, but I think they speak pretty clear (which I found strange hahaha), its rating on IMBD is 6.5/10 with almost 20,000 votes, so you can expect a good movie, but not the best. One of the actors is one of the brothers from the movie WHEN EVIL COMES, so there's something familiar about it. This movie won 3 awards and has a running time of 1 hour and 27 minutes total.

Esta película es del 2017, su director como lo mencione anteriormente es Demian Rugna, es Argentina, por lo que te recomiendo que si puedes ponerle subtítulos en Español, lo hagas por si acaso XD, pero creo que hablan bastante claro (lo cual me pareció extraño jajaja), su puntuación en IMBD es de 6.5/10 con casi 20.000 votos, así que puedes esperar una buena película, más no la mejor. Uno de los actores es uno de los hermanos de la película CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD, así que hay algo familiar en ella. Esta película ganó 3 premios y tiene una duración de 1 hora y 27 minutos en total.

In a street, certain houses are having strange happenings and a couple of accidents occur that lead a Doctor lecturer in paranormal events, an American investigator and a couple of policemen to investigate the events in the affected houses, having the suspicion that they are paranormal events and not simple accidental coincidences.

In this movie everything happens in the same neighborhood, it also has surprise scenes and that you don't expect, here you won't see a lot of blood like in the other movie of this director, but you will see the effort of the makeup done on the characters.

En esta película todo sucede en un mismo vecindario, también tiene escenas de sorpresa y que no esperas, aquí no verás mucha sangre como en la otra película de este director, pero sí verás el esfuerzo del maquillaje realizado en los personajes.

MY PERSONAL OPINION:
Everyone can judge according to what he/she considers, I particularly liked it to a certain extent, without a doubt, the film "WHEN EVIL HITS" seemed to me much better planned, more structured and leaves you more attentive. The difference is that this one that I bring you today is based more on scaring you and the other one that I already reviewed, leaves you more in suspense. I think the plot is interesting, but not many events are explained, and the ending particularly disappointed me a little. I would give it 6/10 but I am not a filmmaker, but I am a fan of suspense and horror movies. If you plan to watch it, I recommend you watch this one first before Demian Rugna's new one, as you will most likely be disappointed as I was. Anyway, it's pretty entertaining, it wasn't scary at all for me, but let everyone know their terror threshold and be prepared hahaha.

MI OPINIÓN PERSONAL:
Cada quien puede juzgar según lo que considere, a mí particularmente me gustó hasta cierto punto, sin duda, la película "CUANDO ACECHA LA MALDAD" me pareció mucho mejor planificada, más estructurada y te deja más atento. La diferencia es que esta que les traigo hoy se basa más en asustarte y la otra que ya hice el Review, te deja más en suspenso. Sí me parece que es interesante la trama, pero no se explican muchos sucesos, y el final a mí particularmente me decepcionó un poco. Yo le pondría 6/10 pero no soy cineasta, más sí soy fanática de las películas de suspenso y terror. Si piensas verla, te recomiendo que veas esta primero antes que la nueva de Demian Rugna, ya que es muy probable que te decepciones así como lo hice yo. De todos modos, es bastante entretenida, a mí no me dio nada de miedo, pero que cada persona conozca su umbral del terror y esté preparado jajaja.
