A great film noir and to see Lucille Ball is a real treat. She had such wonderful comic timing even in a film noir. She was definitely underrated by Hollywood.

Dark Corner 1946 Trailer:

20th Century Fox

A private detective, who almost lives in misery, discovers one day that he is being followed. After cornering his pursuer, he finds out that he is acting under the orders of an old associate with whom he ended up estranged. Shortly after, he finds himself involved in a calculated assassination plan. Lucille Ball tries to help her boss who's been framed for murder.

This is a great movie.I'm have always been a Lucy fan and this is a good part for her .She was so talented in any part she ever played. It came so natural to her. never knew of Lucille Ball outside of I love Lucy, she was a real gem in both Charisma and looks in her younger days. This film is a definite unknown gem. Great scenes & angles & usage of shadows, great story boarding and plot flow, good acting from all of the cast, snappy dialogue. Even the gags have stood the test of time,
It’s a shame that they didn’t have a bigger budget and more advanced effects in 1946, the totally fake looking man falling effect ruined an otherwise very good film. I give it a 8 out of 10.
