Miniseries| “La Palma”| Reflection on solidarity and love for the family

Many times we think that we deserve a vacation, to get out of the routine, to leave everything behind and enjoy the wonderful things in life...To be free.
I feel that we can feel dissatisfied when we arrive at a place, we start to argue, be upset, not wanting anything, spoil the life of our travel companions and if it is with the family we seem to transform, we seem strangers. Can you imagine for a moment finding out that a great tragedy is coming, that we can lose our lives by panicking.
Can you imagine that on that day you may die by a tsunami, we may die at the hands of an unscrupulous person who abuses our good heart, or simply by someone who loses control of his emotions.
In this miniseries called “La Palma” I could live moments of great tension, I was very attentive and I think this even unbalanced me a little, to the point of watching another comedy movie to try to balance myself. In some scenes I tried to say as I do in other films that this is a lie, but this happened, that is, it is something based on real life.
The eruption of a volcano called Cumbre Vieja in La Palma, Canary Islands, in 2021, was based on the lives of some residents who were affected. I think knowing that filled me even with a lot of sadness, but I'm sure many will see it as something normal and enjoy it.
You can imagine for a moment the eruption of a volcano, then the sea breaking loose and sweeping away everything in its path, experiencing those moments of anguish due to the great professional burden of its protagonists is truly capable of keeping us paralyzed and imagining what we can do in those moments.
Without more to say, I can only recommend it as it invites reflection on how fragile life can be and that union in the community in times of unexpected events.
