Gone Girl (Review)[ENG-ESP]

Greetings to my dear community of #moviesonhive !!! today I bring you the review of this movie that I saw last week thanks to La loreto, who recommended it to me.

I tell you that when I started watching it I already knew I had seen it, I saw the images of the neighborhood, the actors and I remembered perfectly the scene frames, but when I tried to remember what it was about I couldn't really remember the images, however, I knew in my mind how something of it ended, but nothing else.

I tell you this because it made me laugh so much that even after knowing so much about the human brain I am still impressed with these silly things, as it is so incredible how this relatively small organ works and especially how mine works! I can remember images perfectly, shapes, colors as 2D scenes, but where do I remember the images? I do not know, what surrounded those images? I do not know either! but I swear that the images are in my memory as if I had seen them yesterday 🙃.

Already after telling you this that allowed me to laugh at myself for a good while about the movie 😅, which I had already seen, I half knew how it ended, something of what it was about, but none of this helped because it was like watching it for the first time for me 🙃, I proceed to tell you what it was about in the synopsis...

Saludos a mi querida comunidad de ¡¡ #moviesonhive !! el día de hoy les traigo la review de esta película que vi la semana pasada gracias a La Loreto que me la recomendó.

Les cuento que al empezar a verla yo ya sabía que la había visto, veía las imágenes del vecindario, de los actores y recordaba perfectamente los cuadros de escenas, pero cuando intentaba recordar de que era que trataba realmente no podía hilar las imágenes, sin embargo, sabía en mi mente como terminaba algo de ella, pero nada más.

Esto se los cuento porque me dio mucha risa que aún después de saber tanto del cerebro humano me sigo impresionando con estas tontas cosas, como es tan increíble el funcionamiento de este relativamente pequeño órgano y sobre todo ¡cómo funciona el mío! yo puedo recordar imágenes perfectamente, formas, colores como escenas en 2D, pero ¿de dónde recuerdo las imágenes? ¡no lo sé!, ¿qué rodeaba a esas imágenes? ¡tampoco lo sé! pero les juro que las imágenes están en mi memoria como si las hubiera visto ayer 🙃.

Ya después de contarles esto que me permitió reírme de mi misma durante un buen rato de la película 😅, la cual ya había visto, medio sabía cómo terminaba, algo de qué trataba, pero nada de esto sirvió porque fue como verla por primera vez para mí 🙃, procedo a decirles de que trata en la sinopsis...

A terrible event occurs in a commonly quiet neighborhood in Missouri, a husband Nick Dunne discovers one day when he arrives home that there was some kind of altercation while he was away and his wife does not appear, he knows because there is a broken table in the living room of his house, something that is not normal and his wife does not answer the phone or appear, so he decides to go directly to the police to file a report for a probable disappearance, even before the first 24 hours of not hearing from her.

The issue begins as any other situation of this type, a husband looking for his beloved wife Amy Elliott Dune who overnight disappears from the locality together with her relatives and the help of the whole neighborhood. However, the plot changes radically when the entire investigation turns against Nick as the main suspect in the disappearance.

Un acontecimiento terrible ocurre en un vecindario comúnmente tranquilo de Misuri, un esposo Nick Dunne descubre un día al llegar a su casa que hubo una especie de altercado mientras él no estaba y su esposa no aparece, lo sabe porque hay una mesa rota en la sala de su casa, algo que no es normal y su esposa no atiende el teléfono ni aparece, por lo que decide ir directamente a la policía a poner la denuncia por una probable desaparición, incluso antes de cumplirse las primeras 24 horas de no saber de ella.

El asunto comienza como cualquier otra situación de este tipo, un esposo buscando a su amada esposa Amy Elliott Dune quien de la noche a la mañana desaparece de la localidad en conjunto con los familiares de ella y la ayuda de todo el vecindario. Sin embargo, la trama cambia radicalmente cuando toda la investigación se vuelca en contra de Nick como principal sospechoso de la desaparición.

It seems like a run-of-the-mill story, like many we've seen out there about missing women where the first suspect is the husband as he goes through the investigations of marital conflicts, but no my friends, I promise you this is not one of those run-of-the-mill movies.

This film is going to make you stay glued to that screen until you don't see the last minute! because your theories are going to change every quarter of the movie about who is the real culprit of everything and what happened, so if you are one of those who like to watch these psychological suspense dramas where you can come up with your own detective theories, then believe me! You're going to like this movie! which, besides, is directed by one of the greats David Fincher based on a book written by Gillian Flynn based on a real event, which obviously makes it even more interesting to watch.

Pareciera una historia común y corriente, como muchas que hemos visto por ahí de mujeres desaparecidas donde el primer sospechoso es el esposo al adentrarse a través de las investigaciones sobre los conflictos maritales, pero ¡no amigos! les prometo que no es una de esas películas comunes y corrientes.

Este film ¡te va hacer quedarte pegado a esa pantalla hasta que no veas el último minuto! porque tus teorías van a cambiar cada cuarto de película sobre quien es el verdadero culpable de todo y que fue lo que sucedió, así que si eres de los que les gusta ver estos dramas de suspenso psicológico donde puedes sacar tus propias teorías detectivescas, entonces ¡créeme!¡te va a gustar esta película! que, a parte, es dirigida por uno de los grandes David Fincher basada en un libro escrito por Gillian Flynn en base a un hecho real, lo cual evidentemente la hace ¡aun! más interesante de ver.

I feel like I'm not going to be able to analyze this movie much in this review because if I say anything then I might give you a big Spoiler, but I'll try my best as always to do my best as always in parts and play with your heads a bit to confuse you a bit so I can say things that are and aren't at the same time 🤭🤭.

Siento que no voy a poder analizar mucho esta película en este review porque si digo cualquier cosa, entonces les puedo dar un gran Spoiler, pero intentaré hacer mi mayor esfuerzo como siempre por partes y jugando un poco con sus cabezas para confundirlos un poco y así puedo decir cosas que son y no son a la vez 🤭🤭.

I didn't read any synopsis before seeing this movie, but if I read it I would have surely thought of seeing something else, and the plot sounded boring, quite cliché, and forgive me Ben Affleck fans, but he is not an actor I admire so much; on the other hand, I had seen very little of the actress, so in general I doubt I would have decided for her unless, of course La Loreto had recommended her to me so strongly, so I didn't even need any of that, I just jumped in to see it!

Friends, I'm not lying to you, the surprise I got was incredible! 😱 what a great movie! 👏👏 it's a plot that looks simple, repetitive, it's true! but they add so many details to the whole plot that they end up making a story that you never thought of!

Whatever you think, it's not! If at some point you find the culprit, believe me you would never think about everything he did to achieve his goal, which ends up being the most impressive of the whole plot and leaves you in shock at the end.

Les cuento que yo no leí ninguna sinopsis antes de ver esta película, pero si la leo de seguro hubiera pensado en ver otra cosa, y es que la trama sonaba aburrida, bastante cliché, y perdóneme fans de Ben Affleck, pero no es un actor que yo admire tanto; por otro lado a la actriz la había visto muy poco, así que en general dudo que me hubiera decidido por ella, a menos, claro, de que La Loreto me la hubiera recomendado con tanto énfasis, así que ni siquiera necesité de nada de eso, solo ¡me lancé a verla!

Amigos no les miento ¡la sorpresa que me llevé fue increíble! 😱 ¡qué buena película! 👏👏 es una trama que se ve sencilla, repetitiva ¡es cierto! pero le agregan tantos detalles a todo el argumento que terminan haciendo una historia que ¡jamás pensaste!

Cualquier cosa que tu pienses ¡no es! O, Si en algún momento das con el culpable, créeme que nunca ibas a llegar a pensar todo lo que hizo para lograr su objetivo, lo cual termina siendo lo más impresionante de toda la trama y que te deja en shock al final.

You are going to feel at certain moments like the detective in the movie, there are many people involved who seem guilty, many with "apparent" ulterior motives to make Amy disappear or to blame Nick, which one of them could be the real culprit, what led him to that, where is Amy?

When you finally get to the last quarter of the movie where the culprit and everything he did to plan the events will be revealed, you are going to be very very surprised! I swear you will be! Maybe not because of who the culprit is, maybe if you know long before, but all the planning he did to get there, I doubt it! Because this was a real masterstroke!

And even if well before the end of the movie you already know who caused everything and why, even so, the ending they give it is a masterful thing, I swear! The best part of it all is the ending, so the fact that they solve everything some time before the end is not the most important thing, it's what comes after.

Te vas a sentir en determinados momentos como el propio detective de la película, existen muchos involucrados que parecen culpables, muchos con "aparentes" segundas intenciones de que desapareciera Amy o que culparan a Nick, te harás muchas preguntas ¿Cuál de todos esos puede ser el verdadero culpable?,¿Qué lo llevó a eso? ¿Dónde está Amy?

Cuando por fin llegues al último cuarto de la película donde se develará el culpable y todo lo que hizo para planificar los acontecimientos ¡vas a quedar muy muy sorprendido! se lo juro que así va a ser! Tal vez no por quien es, tal vez eso sí lo sabes desde mucho antes, pero toda la planificación que hizo para llegar a eso ¡lo dudo! Porque esto sí que fue ¡una verdadera jugada maestra!

Y aun cuando mucho antes de terminar la película ya sabes quién causó todo y por qué, aun así, el final que le dan es una cosa ¡magistral! ¡Se los juro! Lo mejor de todo es el final, así que el hecho de que resuelvan todo cierto tiempo antes de terminar no es lo más importante, es lo que viene después.

If you are like me you will end up loving the bad guy of this movie, in the mode: My God, what a level to do what he wanted! I can't say much more, but believe me you will have a mixture of feelings between hatred and total admiration for this person, I will not say more than: if I am born again and decide to be evil, this will be one of my great examples to follow to become a "Master Pro" level, my total admiration for this evil guy until eternity hahaha.

Si eres como yo terminaras amando al malo de esta película, en modo: ¡Dios mioooo!,Qué nivel para hacer lo que quería! no puedo decir mucho más, pero créanme tendrán una mezcla de sentimientos entre odio y admiración total hacia esta persona, no diré más que: si vuelvo a nacer y decido ser malvada, este será uno de mis grandes ejemplos a seguir para llegar a ser nivel “Master Pro” mi admiración total por este malvado hasta la eternidad jajaja.

Nick is a quiet and innocent looking man, a good partner, loves his wife, a good brother, a writer, teaches in his spare time, runs a bar with his sister, a good son, moved to Missouri because of his mother's illness and who can barely begin to do everything possible to find his wife, it is incredible how he shows so much innocence during much of the film, so much, that he ends up looking suspicious.

Nick doesn't seem to understand anything. How did he go from being the one who filed the report for his wife's disappearance, to now being the possible culprit, what sense would that make, why would he do such a thing? At the beginning you can completely empathize with him, his way of acting is typical of someone who does not assimilate the situation, he does not know what it is like to be in front of a camera, he does not know how to react to so many questions and so many eyes on him.

Until some changes appear in the narrative structure and in the type of narrator that will make you think: Wait a minute 😱... It was you Nick, don't try to hide it, don't try to fool me, it was you!

And in these flashbacks we have another Nick present now, but told from another point of view, that of the wife, who shows you all the scenes of the development of their marital relationship since they met, while describing them in her personal diary and narrating them in first person.

When you are almost convinced that it is Nick, then you return to the present with other radical changes in the narrative, you change your mind again, now it does not seem to be Nick, it seems to be another one or others 🙃, and so you keep changing your mind throughout the film wondering, is Nick really the culprit? is it another one? are others trying to incriminate Nick? why did Amy write that in her diary?

Nick es un hombre de apariencia tranquila e inocente, es una buena pareja, ama a su esposa, un buen hermano, escritor, da clases en su tiempo libre, administra un bar con su hermana, buen hijo, se mudó a Misuri por la enfermedad de su madre y quien apenas puede empieza a hacer todo lo posible por encontrar a su esposa, es increíble como muestra tanta inocencia durante gran parte de la película, tanta, que termina pareciendo sospechoso.

Nick no parece entender nada ¿Cómo pasó de ser el que puso la denuncia por la desaparición de su esposa, a ahora ser el posible culpable?, ¿Qué sentido tendría eso?, ¿Por qué haría una cosa así? Al principio puedes empatizar completamente con él, su forma de actuar es típica de alguien que no asimila la situación, no sabe lo que es estar frente a una cámara, no sabe cómo reaccionar ante tantas preguntas y a tantos ojos puestos sobre él.

Hasta que aparecen unos cambios en la estructura narrativa y en el tipo de narrador que te harán pensar: Un momento 😱... ¡fuiste tú Nick, no intentes ocultarlo, no intentes engañarme! ¡fuiste tú!

Y es que en estos flashbacks tenemos presente a otro Nick ahora, contado desde otro punto de vista, el de la esposa, quien te muestra todas las escenas del desarrollo de su relación marital desde que se conocieron, mientras las describe en su diario personal y las va narrando en primera persona.

Cuando ya estas casi convencido de que es Nick, entonces vuelves al presente con otros cambios radicales en la narrativa, vuelves a cambiar de opinión, ahora ya no parece ser Nick, parece ser otro más u otros más 🙃, y así te la pasas cambiando de opinión en toda la película preguntándote ¿Será Nick realmente el culpable?, ¿Será otro más?, ¿Otros?, ¿Intentan incriminar a Nick?, ¿Por qué Amy escribió eso en su diario?

Amy is a writer of children's stories, from a very young age she is used by her parents to obtain economic benefits for her works and she keeps living that way, somewhat unhappy, until she meets Nick.

Amy finds love in Nick, after one night of knowing each other they hit it off too well, for her Nick is the perfect man, so she decides to marry him as soon as he asks her to marry him in the presentation of one of her books that she hated, but her life takes a turn when Nick begins to have financial problems after being fired from his job and being forced to move to Missouri, due to the illness of her mother-in-law.

It is then when Amy has to leave behind everything she knew up to that moment, but she does it for her husband, to stay by his side, to support him and because it doesn't really matter where they are, for her the most important thing is to be with the love of her life.

Amy is a writer, so she also writes in a personal diary all her experiences with Nick, during the film there are moments narrated by her while she is writing in it, showing her own vision of her relationship with her husband, which ends up being somewhat different from the one told by Nick, but there is something that is not entirely convincing, is it really Nick's fault, is it that someone else wrote that diary, what does that diary say?

Amy es una escritora de cuentos infantiles, desde muy joven es utilizada por sus padres para obtener beneficios económicos por sus obras y se mantiene viviendo de esa forma, algo desdichada, hasta que conoce a Nick.

Amy encuentra el amor en Nick, después de una noche de conocerse congenian demasiado bien, para ella Nick es el hombre perfecto, por eso decide casarse con él a penas le pide matrimonio en la presentación de uno de sus libros que ella odiaba, pero su vida da un vuelco cuando Nick comienza a tener problemas económicos después del despido de su trabajo y de verse obligados a mudarse a Misuri, producto de la enfermedad de su suegra.

Es entonces cuando Amy tiene que dejar atrás todo lo que conocía hasta ese momento, pero lo hace por su esposo, por permanecer al lado del él, por apoyarlo y porque realmente no importa donde estén, para ella lo más importante es estar con el amor de su vida.

Amy es escritora, así que además escribe en un diario personal todas sus vivencias con Nick, durante la película hay momentos narrados por ella mientras se muestra escribiendo en él, mostrando su propia visión de su relación con su esposo, la cual termina siendo algo distinta a la que cuenta Nick, pero hay algo que no convence del todo ¿Será de verdad Nick el culpable?, ¿Qué es lo que dice ese diario?, ¿Lo escribió en verdad Amy?

She is Nick's twin sister, together with Nick she runs a bar where he spends most of his day, she is her brother's best friend and counselor, basically she is the voice of his conscience, she is the one he has always told his problems to, and who will be the only person who believes in Nick when the entire investigative body and the community turns on him, but I have a tip for you, a small one, even his sister who at first proves to know everything about her brother's marital relationship, ends up suspecting him and you will say at that moment not even his twin trusts him! Detective Kim is a skillful, intelligent and astute woman, who in first instance does not believe in situations so easy to investigate, for her the disappearances are more difficult, she is one of those women who do not believe when something in her work that is so complex, is solved so quickly, for her there is something else, so we see her throughout the film suspecting but not making definitive decisions until the end, there is something that does not fit her, what is it that Detective Kim does not believe in? What is it that seems so obvious and that does not convince her? could it be that even she is being deceived by the real culprit?

La Detective Kim es una mujer diestra, inteligente y astuta, quien en primera instancia no cree en situaciones tan fáciles de investigar, para ella las desapariciones son más difíciles. Es de esas mujeres que no se creen cuando algo en su trabajo que es tan complejo, se resuelve tan rápido, para ella hay algo más, por lo que la vemos en toda la película sospechando pero no tomando decisiones definitivas sino hasta el final, hay algo que a ella no le cuadra ¿Que será en lo que no cree la Detective Kim?, ¿Qué es lo que le parece tan evidente y que no termina de convencerla?, ¿Será que hasta ella está siendo engañada por el verdadero culpable?

Dessi is a rather mysterious character, he is one of a list of several of Amy's exes who could be to blame for her disappearance, unlike Nick he looks completely suspicious, he appears when he shouldn't, he is uncommunicative, inexpressive, he has kept sending letters to his ex in a rather strange, in fact, almost obsessive way for years and the reasons for their separation were quite bizarre, he looks completely like a culprit, Will Dessi be the real cause of this whole mess?

There are other interesting characters in the plot that make us more confused about who is the real culprit or those involved such as Amy's parents Marybeth Elliot (Lisa Banes), Rand Elliot (David Clenonn) who could easily look suspicious as well, as they have spent their lives taking advantage of their daughter; That on one hand and there are other brilliant performances to highlight such as the lawyer Tanner Bolt (Tyler Perry) who ends up being Nick's defender against the accusations, as well as his there are several other performances in the plot that are to highlight, but I can't say much about them all because I feel it would give too many Spoilers.

Dessi es un personaje bastante misterioso, es uno de la lista de varios ex de Amy que pudiera ser el culpable de su desaparición, a diferencia de Nick él luce completamente sospechoso, aparece cuando no debe, es poco comunicativo, inexpresivo, se ha mantenido mandándole cartas a su ex de una forma bastante extraña, de hecho, casi obsesiva durante años y las razones de su separación fueron poco claras, luce completamente como un culpable ¿Será Dessi el verdadero causante de todo este desastre?

Hay otros personajes interesantes en la trama que hacen que nos confundamos más sobre quien es el verdadero culpable o los involucrados, como los padres de Amy Marybeth Elliot (Lisa Banes), Rand Elliot (David Clenonn) quienes podrían lucir fácilmente sospechosos también, ya que han pasado su vida aprovechándose de su hija y se han visto muy comodos delante de las camaras obteniendo atención, eso por un lado; existen otras actuaciones brillantes a recalcar como el abogado Tanner Bolt (Tyler Perry) que termina siendo el defensor de Nick ante las acusaciones, así como la de él hay varias actuaciones más en la trama que son de resaltar, pero no puedo decir mucho de ellas sobre todos porque siento que daría muchos Spoilers.

THE NARRATIVE STRUCTURE
This movie can get a bit confusing, the narrative structure is not linear, it starts in the middle, goes back to the beginning, then moves forward from where we were and so it goes until it takes us to the end, excuse me film experts but I did not know what kind of narrative this was, my basic knowledge of narratives from school did not reach this level, so I set out to google it because it seemed interesting and I found out that it is called In media Res and this is because throughout the story there are constant flashbacks of the whole relationship of the protagonists, how it arose, how it developed and how they were in the present.

LA ESTRUCTURA NARRATIVA
Esta película puede llegar a ser un poco confusa, la estructura narrativa no es lineal, empieza por el medio, retrocede al comienzo, luego avanza desde donde estábamos y así va constantemente hasta llevarnos al final, discúlpenme expertos de cine pero no sabía qué tipo de narrativa era esta, mis conocimientos básicos de narraciones del colegio no llegaban a este nivel, así que me dispuse a buscar en google porque me pareció interesante y descubrí que se llama In media Res y esto es porque a lo largo de la historia hay flashback constantes de toda la relación de los protagonistas, como surgió, como se desarrolló y como se encontraban en la actualidad.

THE NARRATOR
It is noteworthy the type of narrator of the story, at times is omniscient, at other times is in first person and at other times is a witness, I also found this interesting, because it is not so common to see this type of film where there are so many types of narrator, or at least not that I have noticed so obviously and that this contributed so much to the plot, I googled this type of narrator also, because I did not know it either, and I discovered that it is called Multiple Narrator I am saying all this without reading any review, without knowing if this analysis of mine is completely adequate for this film because I know nothing about cinema, but I do know something about narrations because I saw it in high school when we were learning about arts in general and that's how I interpret this film.

I think it is important to highlight these details, although perhaps many are not interested because it comes from someone who knows nothing about cinema, however, I still emphasize them because they were very important when analyzing the development of the plot, and this is because every time the plot changes direction in the narrative structure or the narrator changes, then the whole theory of what happens in the film changes.

Maybe this is not important, maybe it is, for me it is, because using this resource makes a story that seems to be simple and quite cliché become a whole unknown that makes you change your mind about the characters from time to time and everything ends up working so well! that makes the film interesting from start to finish.

You won't feel bored, you won't feel that you already know the truth, better said, you will feel that you don't know anything until the last 1/3 of the movie where the whole secret will be revealed, so I thought it was a wonderful move by the director, I don't know if the story in the book is told in this way and not everything is thanks to this director, the only thing I know is that it is a very well used and exploited resource to keep the viewer hooked to the movie until the end.

EL NARRADOR
Es de resaltar el tipo de Narrador de la historia, por momentos es omnisciente, en otros momentos está en primera persona y en otros es testigo, también me pareció interesante esto, porque no es tan frecuente ver este tipo de películas donde existan tantos tipos de narrador, o por lo menos no que yo lo haya notado tan evidentemente y que esto aportara tanto a la trama, busqué en google este tipo de narrador también, porque tampoco lo conocía, y descubrí que se llama Narrador Múltiple ojo que todo esto lo estoy diciendo sin leer ninguna reseña, sin saber si este análisis mío es completamente el adecuado para esta película porque no sé nada de cine, pero sí sé algo de narraciones por lo vi en bachillerato cuando aprendíamos sobre artes en general y así interpreto yo este film.

Estos detalles me parece importante resaltarlos, aunque tal vez a muchos no les interesa porque viene de alguien que no sabe nada de cine, sin embargo, igual lo recalco porque fueron muy importantes a la hora de analizar el desenvolvimiento de la trama, y esto es porque cada vez que la trama cambia de dirección en la estructura narrativa o cambia de narrador entonces cambia toda la teoría de lo que sucede en la película.

Tal vez esto no es importante, tal vez si lo es, para mí sí, porque el usar estos recursos hace que una historia que aparenta ser sencilla y bastante cliché se convierta en toda una incógnita que te va haciendo cambiar de opinión sobre los personajes cada tanto y todo termina funcionando ¡tan bien! que hace que la película sea interesante de inicio a fin.

No vas a sentir que te aburres, no vas a sentir que ya sabes la verdad, mejor dicho, vas a sentir que no sabes nada hasta el último 1/3 de la película donde se develará todo el secreto, así que me pareció una jugada maravillosa del director, tampoco sé si la historia en el libro está narrada de esta forma y no todo es gracias a este director, lo único que sé que es un recurso muy bien utilizado y aprovechado para mantener al espectador enganchado a la película hasta el final.

Did I like the movie? Totally, I loved it! I've already listed a bunch more of the director's films that I've needed to see for a while, but I started with this one, which is apparently one of the easiest, according to what I was told after watching it, so I have to see more, because obviously I was blown away by this one!

Would I recommend it? Yes! Especially for those who like movies that make them think a little bit and that you know they will be seriously focused throughout the whole movie, it's super interesting to watch from start to finish.

Would I watch it again? Totally! Ya tengo enlistada otro grupo más del director que necesito ver desde hace un tiempo, pero empecé con esta que aparentemente es de las más sencillas según me dijeron después de verla, así que tengo que ver más, porque evidentemente ¡quedé maravillada con esta!

¿La recomendaría? ¡Sí! Sobre todo, para aquellos que les gusta el cine que les haga pensar un poco y que sepas que se concentraran en serio a lo largo de toda la película, es súper interesante de ver de inicio a fin.

¿La volvería a ver? ¡Totalmente! Es más, le dije a mi mamá para verla y ya quiere verla solo porque es Ben Affleck el protagonista, sí ella es de esas a las que le pedí disculpa al principio porque no me gustaba tanto el sujeto como actor 😅😅😅, así que probablemente la vea nuevamente con ella pronto, aunque ni le interesó saber de qué trataba solo que estaba Affleck, sin embargo, sé que le gustará la trama porque se la pasa viendo los casos de Investigation Discovery 🤭🤭🤭.
