Ya he perdido la cuenta de cuantas veces he dicho que yo no soy una persona de películas, pero cuando me dan ganas de ver una realmente lo disfruto. En esta ocasión la idea no vino de mí, fue de mi mamá que quería ver una película de comedia y/o romance, entonces yo dije "Why not?" y decidí variar un poco, así que entre a Amazon prime Video a buscar algo que ver, sin tener ninguna recomendación presente. Primero vimos "La Otra Zoey" una película muy cool de la que les hablaré luego, pero hoy quería comentarles un poco sobre "time is up".

I've lost count of how many times I've said that I'm not a movie person, but when I get the urge to watch one I really enjoy it. This time the idea didn't come from me, it was from my mom who wanted to watch a comedy and/or romance movie, so I said "Why not?" and decided to vary a bit, so I went into Amazon prime Video to look for something to watch, without having any recommendations present. First we watched "The Other Zoey" a very cool movie that I will tell you about later, but today I wanted to tell you a little bit about "time is up".

Tenía noción de esta película desde hace algún tiempo, ya que está protagonizada por Bella Throne y Benjamin Mascolo, Esta historia se centra en Vivien y Roy, dos adolescentes con vidas distintas y generalmente bastante opuestos. Para Vivien su vida es la física, y vive el día a día como una fórmula matemática, estudiando constantemente para entrar en una universidad y tiene una pareja que no le dedica mucho tiempo. Por otro lado, Roy es un chico becado que entrena para entrar en el equipo de natación, poder competir y salir adelante. Sus caminos se mezclan, ya que Steve, el novio de Viven, también entra con Roy, así que se habían topado varias veces, se habían visto en una fiesta y él la había rescatado de un grupo de chicos que pretendían hacerle daño.

I had notion of this movie for some time, as it stars Bella Throne and Benjamin Mascolo, This story focuses on Vivien and Roy, two teenagers with different lives and generally quite opposite. For Vivien her life is physics, and she lives day to day life as a mathematical formula, constantly studying to get into a university and has a partner who doesn't devote much time to her. On the other hand, Roy is a scholarship kid training to make the swim team, compete and get ahead. Their paths mix, since Steve, Viven's boyfriend, also enters with Roy, so they had run into each other several times, they had seen each other at a party and he had rescued her from a group of guys who intended to hurt her.

Pero, no es hasta que el equipo de natación debe irse de viaje a Roma que Vivien decide sorprender a Steve, así que lo espera durante horas, pero este no aparece. Ahí es cuando entra Roy y le dice para divertirse mientras espera a Steve. Es en ese día que su conexión se hace más real, se toman fotos, pasean por varios lugares y llega un punto donde se besan. Posteriormente, ella encuentra a su novio siéndole infiel con el entrenador, así que decide irse corriendo, confronta a Roy y en la discusión un auto la atropella, olvidando todo lo que paso ese día. Steve se hace el que no paso nada, dice que siempre estuvo con ella y Roy se aleja, deja la natación y trabaja con su papá en un taller de autos, pero ninguno era realmente feliz. A ambos le faltaba una parte de sí, a Vivien claramente los recuerdos, y a Roy lo carcomía el amor que comenzó a sentir por Viven. Ella quería recordar que paso ese día, con quién estaba y que estaba haciendo exactamente, pero va recordando muy pocas cosas.

But, it's not until the swim team has to leave on a trip to Rome that Vivien decides to surprise Steve, so she waits for him for hours, but he doesn't show up. That's when Roy comes in and tells her to have fun while waiting for Steve. It is on that day that their connection becomes more real, they take pictures, walk around various places and there comes a point where they kiss. Later, she finds her boyfriend cheating on her with the coach, so she decides to run away, confronts Roy and in the discussion a car runs over her, forgetting everything that happened that day. Steve pretends nothing happened, says he was always with her and Roy walks away, quits swimming and works with his dad in an auto shop, but neither was really happy. Both were missing a part of themselves, Vivien was clearly missing the memories, and Roy was eating away at the love he began to feel for Viven. She wanted to remember what happened that day, who she was with and what exactly she was doing, but she is remembering very little.

Cuando Roy se decide a ir por ella, le envía las fotos que tomó ese día junto con una dirección y cuando se ven, lo arreglan todo. Incluso Viven logra reunir el valor para hacer su prueba de física y habla de las partículas, y una analogía de como debían ellos estar juntos. La verdad es una película bonita, con un patrón predecible, pero no es necesariamente mala. Solo una queja tengo, y es que siento que el accidente debió pasar antes para poder sentir eso, que de que algo les faltaba en su vida, ya que lo que la película transmite es que ese accidente los iba a acercar mucho más. Pero, como dije antes, no es una mala película, es buena para pasar el rato sin preguntarse tanta cosa, incluso tiene una parte 2 que pienso ver luego, nos leemos pronto!

When Roy decides to go after her, he sends her the pictures he took that day along with an address and when they see each other, they work it all out. Even Viven manages to muster up the courage to take her physics test and talks about the particles, and an analogy of how they were meant to be together. It's actually a nice movie, with a predictable pattern, but it's not necessarily bad. Only one complaint I have, and that is that I feel that the accident should have happened earlier in order to feel that something was missing in their lives, since what the movie conveys is that the accident was going to bring them much closer together. But, as I said before, it's not a bad movie, it's good to pass the time without wondering so much, it even has a part 2 that I plan to see later, see you soon!
