Si hay una película que marco un antes y después en las adaptaciones actuales adolescentes, esa es After. Una historia que nació hace tantos años, de un fanfic, el cual causo un impacto porque para su público, gusto muchísimo. Y les voy a ser honesta, yo nunca fui fan de la historia, no porque fuese mala, sino que el rollo de One Direction no me encantaba, así que me evitaba leer esas historias. Pero, si estuve consciente de que a la gente la amaba, luego cuando adaptaron la historia tampoco la vi, si no hasta hace pocos días que aburrida en mi casa, es que decido verla.

If there is a movie that marked a before and after in the current teen adaptations, that is After. A story that was born so many years ago, from a fanfic, which caused an impact because for its audience, it was very much to their liking. And I'll be honest, I was never a fan of the story, not because it was bad, but because I didn't love the One Direction stuff, so I avoided reading those stories. But, if I was aware that people loved it, then when they adapted the story I didn't watch it either, until a few days ago when I was bored at home, I decided to watch it.

En esta oportunidad no quiero analizar la historia, puesto que es una muy cliché, que todos conocemos y que la verdad no es nada del otro mundo, es hasta repetitiva. Después de ver la película no sentí cringe, la verdad es una historia adolescente muy normal, con su drama, pero siento que es para un público en específico, definitivamente no es una para todo el mundo y es lo que la gente no entiende, así que prefiere tirarle Hate. Si bien la historia de Tessa y Hardin es un poco cuestionable, por el rollo de la apuesta, de que Hardin es bastante agresivo, de que Tessa es un poco tímida y dejada, cuando te enganchas con la película quieres ver un poco más, sin sentir que es lo más impresionante, pero definitivamente si distrae y eso también está bien.

In this opportunity I don't want to analyze the story, since it is a very cliché one, that we all know and that the truth is nothing out of this world, it is even repetitive. After watching the movie I didn't feel cringe, the truth is a very normal teenage story, with its drama, but I feel it's for a specific audience, it's definitely not one for everyone and that's what people don't understand, so they prefer to throw Hate at it. While Tessa and Hardin's story is a bit questionable, because of the betting thing, of Hardin being quite aggressive, of Tessa being a bit shy and left behind, when you get hooked with the movie you want to see a bit more, without feeling like it's the most impressive thing, but it definitely does distract and that's fine too.

Por otro lado, siento que me gustan las actuaciones, los diálogos y el lugar donde está ambientada esta película, no se siente como algo de baja calidad y eso hace muy llevadero el hecho de que es simplemente una película para adolescentes, de esos que amaban leer en Wattpad en los años 2012-2014. ¿La recomiendo ver? Solo si eras una persona que, en sus tiempos, le gustaba ese tipo de historia, hay que verlas con esos ojos para no criticarla demasiado, puesto que está orientada a ese target.

On the other hand, I feel that I like the performances, the dialogues and the place where this movie is set, it doesn't feel like something of low quality and that makes very bearable the fact that it is simply a movie for teenagers, of those who loved to read on Wattpad in the years 2012-2014. Do I recommend watching it? Only if you were a person who, back in the day, liked that kind of story, you have to watch it with those eyes so as not to criticize it too much, since it is geared towards that target.
