Saben que cuando creamos un hábito, si no lo cumplimos nos sentimos incompletos, eso me paso esta semana cuando el pasado martes no hice mi respectivo post de Movies. El motivo fue simple, estaba demasiado ocupada para ver algo nuevo, así que tuve que improvisar otros contenidos, pero no podía dejar pasar esta semana sin hablarles de alguna serie o película, en este caso quiero hablar de una bastante controversial, una serie que lo tenía TODO para funcionar, pero que malas decisiones, tramas aburridas y nada muy inspirador, terminaron por orillar a su cancelación, hablemos de Legacies.

You know that when we create a habit, if we don't fulfill it we feel incomplete, that happened to me this week when last Tuesday I didn't do my respective Movies post. The reason was simple, I was too busy to watch something new, so I had to improvise other content, but I could not let this week pass without talking about a series or movie, in this case I want to talk about a very controversial one, a series that had EVERYTHING to work, but bad decisions, boring plots and nothing very inspiring, ended up leading to its cancellation, let's talk about Legacies.

Si han seguido mi blog, sabrá que yo soy la fan número uno del universo de Diarios de Vampiros, tanto en libros como en serie, igual que The Originals. Es por ello que cuando anunciaron Legacies, yo estaba muy contenta, pero en sus 4 temporadas no tuve ni un poco de emoción que con las historias pasadas. Legacies trata sobre Hope Mikaelson, la hija de Klaus, nuestro villano y protagonista favorito, y de Hayley, la loba que dio la vida por su hija en la temporada más triste de The Originals.

Seguimos a Hopa hacia la escuela Salvatore, donde ella vive a cargo de Alaric, uno de nuestros maestros favoritos, debido a la muerte de sus padres en eventos pasados. Hope siendo la única diferente en una escuela llena de personas diferentes, puesto que, estaba llena de brujas, vampiros y hombres lobo, y ella era las 3 especies en una sola, la única Tríbrida. Acompañando a Hope, por así decirlo, teníamos a las gemelas Lizzie y Jossie, hijas de Alaric y Jo, las ultimas gemelas del aquelarre Geminis y sifones, no son capaces de producir magia, ellas abosorven.

If you have been following my blog, you will know that I am the number one fan of the Vampire Diaries universe, both in books and series, just like The Originals. That's why when they announced Legacies, I was overjoyed, but in its 4 seasons I didn't get nearly as much excitement as I did with the past stories. Legacies is about Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus, our favorite villain and protagonist, and Hayley, the she-wolf who gave her life for her daughter in the saddest season of The Originals.

We follow Hopa to Salvatore School, where she lives under the care of Alaric, one of our favorite teachers, due to the death of her parents in past events. Hope being the only different one in a school full of different people, since, it was full of witches, vampires and werewolves, and she was the 3 species in one, the only Tribrid. Accompanying Hope, so to speak, we had the twins Lizzie and Jossie, daughters of Alaric and Jo, the last twins of the Gemini coven and siphons, not capable of producing magic, they abosorven.

Por ahora conocemos la historia y puede resultar abrumadora, pero la verdad el tono era muy adolescente, así que era más bien divertida. Es así como Hope en la escuela Salvatore conoce a un personaje misterioso, Landom Kirby, el personaje más apatico que ha creado julie plec, en serio que preferia más a Matt Donovan y eso que yo lo odiaba. Volviendo al tema, Landom llego a la escuela como alguien que pensaba tener un poder, pero no sabía que, además, trajo consigo a los mounstros, dle pozo de Malivore. Este pozo era en realidad un mounstro, que en el pasado se alimentó de muchos mounstros y los estaba expulsando uno a uno, este fue el "villano que lanzaba villanos" cada episodio.

El problema fue que, duro demasiado tiempo, este villano, era ridículo. Además, todos los personajes buenos eran demasiados, parecían niños, de verdad que no tenía sentido. Sumado al hecho que Hope era la unica persona capaz de solucionar todos los problemas, cosa que hizo su ego subir un poco más, parecía una niña malcriada y eso, cambio en el final. Nunca conectabas con los personajes ni con los antagonistas, sus problemas te daban risa en lugar de empatizar.

By now we know the story and it can be overwhelming, but the truth the tone was very adolescent, so it was rather funny. That's how Hope in Salvatore's school meets a mysterious character, Landom Kirby, the most apathetic character Julie Plec has ever created, seriously I preferred Matt Donovan more and I hated him. Back to the subject, Landom came to the school as someone who thought he had a power, but he didn't know that, besides, he brought with him the monsters, from the well of Malivore. This well was actually a monster, who in the past fed on many monsters and was kicking them out one by one, this was the "villain that threw villains" every episode.

The problem was, it lasted too long, this villain, it was ridiculous. Besides, all the good characters were too many, they looked like children, it really didn't make sense. Added to the fact that Hope was the only person capable of solving all the problems, which made her ego go up a bit more, she looked like a spoiled child and that changed in the end. You never connected with the characters or the antagonists, their problems made you laugh instead of empathize.
