[ESP - ENG] AVATAR: EL CAMINO DEL AGUA – REVIEW
¡Bienvenidos sean todos los amantes del cine y lectores de Hive en general a esta nueva reseña! Esta vez les hablare un poco sobre Pocahontas en el espacio 2, digo “Avatar 2: el camino del agua” la secuela de una de las películas más taquilleras de todos los tiempos.
Welcome to all movie lovers and Hive readers in general to this new review! This time I will talk to you a little bit about Pocahontas in space 2, I mean "Avatar 2: The Way of Water" the sequel to one of the highest grossing movies of all time.
Avatar 2: el Camino del Agua, a diferencia de la película que reseñé anteriormente era una producción que todos estuvimos esperando por muchísimo tiempo, aproximadamente más de 12 años, y fue una sorpresa al enterarnos que esta entrega tendría una duración de 3 horas, para algunos fue algo grato, para otros no tanto
Avatar 2: The Way of Water, unlike the film I reviewed above, was a production that we were all waiting for a long time, approximately more than 12 years, and it was a surprise to learn that this installment would have a duration of 3 hours, for some it was something pleasant, for others not so much

HISTORIA Y TRAMA
Si nos ponemos a detallarlo con cuidado la historia es casi la misma que la de su antecesora pero con pequeños cambios y una mayor duración, al inicio no se nota tanto, pero a medida que avanza la película se tiene esa sensación de “Creo que esto ya lo vi antes” y no es un deja vu, porque simplemente ocurren las mismas situaciones que en la primera entrega, pero con algunas diferencias, entre ellas los personajes.
If we get to detail it carefully the story is almost the same as its predecessor but with small changes and a longer duration, at the beginning it is not so noticeable, but as the film progresses you get that feeling of "I think I've seen this before" and it is not deja vu, because simply the same situations occur as in the first installment, but with some differences, including the characters.
En esta entrega en lugar de Jake ganarse la confianza de la fauna de Pandora, es el Coronel Quaricht y esta vez Jake, Neytiri y sus hijos deben adaptarse a sus nuevas vidas en las tribus del agua, debido a que Jake decidio que lo mejor para evitar que ocurriese una destrucción masiva en pandora como la de la primera entrega, lo mejor era que ellos abandonaran el bosque.
El problema es que ellos no serían fácilmente aceptados por las tribus del agua aunque su líder, Tonowari, así se los ordenase, ellos deberán ganarse la confianza de estas tribus, pero su hijo menor, Lo’ak, no facilitaría las cosas. A todo esto se sumaría la sub-trama de Kiri, la hija adoptiva de Jake Sully y Neytiri quien es hija de la difunta Doctora Grace y cuya concepción a inicios de la película es un completo misterio.
El problema es que ellos no serían fácilmente aceptados por las tribus del agua aunque su líder, Tonowari, así se los ordenase, ellos deberán ganarse la confianza de estas tribus, pero su hijo menor, Lo’ak, no facilitaría las cosas. A todo esto se sumaría la sub-trama de Kiri, la hija adoptiva de Jake Sully y Neytiri quien es hija de la difunta Doctora Grace y cuya concepción a inicios de la película es un completo misterio.
In this installment instead of Jake gaining the trust of Pandora's fauna, it is Colonel Quaricht and this time Jake, Neytiri and their children must adapt to their new lives in the water tribes, because Jake decided that the best thing to avoid a massive destruction in Pandora as in the first installment, it was better for them to leave the forest.

Otro personaje importante de mencionar es Spider, hijo del Coronel Quaricht, este sería quien le enseñe a Quaritch y su equipo como adaptarse, hablar y ser como los habitantes de pandora, se podría decir que en esta entrega el Coronel toma el papel que tenía Jake Sully en la primera entrega y Spider sería quien tome el papel de Neytiri como maestro, pero todo cambia cuando descubren el paradero de Jake Sully y su familia, aquí es cuando el Coronel comienza a usar sus tácticas de guerra para hacer salir a Jake Sully de su escondite.
Another important character to mention is Spider, son of Colonel Quaricht, this would be who teaches Quaritch and his team how to adapt, talk and be like the inhabitants of Pandora, it could be said that in this installment the Colonel takes the role that Jake Sully had in the first installment and Spider would be who takes the role of Neytiri as a teacher, but everything changes when they discover the whereabouts of Jake Sully and his family, this is when the Colonel begins to use his war tactics to get Jake Sully out of hiding.
CHARACTERS
PERSONAJES
Al ser una segunda entrega veríamos a personajes ya conocidos y se nos presentan otros nuevos y luego está el escuadrón del Coronel Quaritch, a los cuales ya conocíamos de la primera entrega, pero se nos presentarían nuevamente con un aspecto un poco diferente, se podría decir que en esta película son un poco más altos y… azules que antes, además también se nos presentaron a las tribus del agua que lucen muy diferentes a las tribus del bosque, esto debido a que sus cuerpos están adaptados para pasar la mayor parte de sus vidas en el agua, pero a pesar de esto no han desarrollado branquias.
Being a second installment we would see characters already known and we are introduced to new ones and then there is the squadron of Colonel Quaritch, which we already knew from the first installment, but we would be presented again with a slightly different look, you could say that in this movie they are a little taller and.... blue than before, in addition we were also introduced to the water tribes that look very different from the forest tribes, this because their bodies are adapted to spend most of their lives in the water, but despite this they have not developed gills.
Uno de mis personajes favoritos es Tonowari, a mi parecer es uno de los mejores lideres vistos ambas producciones, aunque se dejaba influenciar mucho por Jake Sully, pero tratándose del antiguo Toruk makto, creo que era correcto que considerara siempre lo que este tenía para decir.
One of my favorite characters is Tonowari, in my opinion he is one of the best leaders seen in both productions, although he was influenced a lot by Jake Sully, but being the former Toruk makto, I think it was right to always consider what he had to say.
Otro personaje que me gusta mucho, aunque no me encanta, es Kiri, su conexión con Pandora y Eiwa le da mucha profundidad al personaje, la cual creo que se desperdició o se dejó para una futura producción, todo para centrarnos en el hijo incomprendido, porque la hija adoptada a la que todos tachan por loca no merece ser el foco central de la película. Al final no tuvo un desarrollo ni con la muerte de su hermano porque al final igual hizo lo que le salió de… la cola, aunque si, con esto salvo a Jake y él fue quien aprendió que no debía ser tan estricto, pero la verdad es que a mí no me gustó el uso ni desarrollo de estos personajes.
Another character that I like a lot, although I don't love it, is Kiri, her connection with Pandora and Eiwa gives a lot of depth to the character, which I think was wasted or left for a future production, all to focus on the misunderstood son, because the adopted daughter that everyone labels as crazy doesn't deserve to be the central focus of the movie. In the end he didn't have a development even with the death of his brother because in the end he did what came out of... his tail, although yes, with this he saved Jake and he was the one who learned that he shouldn't be so strict, but the truth is that I didn't like the use or development of these characters.
VISUAL EFFECTS
EFECTOS VISUALES
Al igual que con la primera entrega, James Cameron no nos decepciono a la hora de deleitarnos visualmente con los paisaje de Pandora y ahora logró impresionarme aún más con todos los escenarios marinos que nos presentó esta producción, todos los detalles son simplemente espectaculares y hay muchas escenas que con solo verlas, te sientes inmerso en el planeta de Pandora y puedes relajarte totalmente mientras disfrutas la película, hubo una escena en el mar que tuvo especial efecto conmigo.
As with the first installment, James Cameron did not disappoint us when it came to visually delight us with the landscape of Pandora and now he managed to impress me even more with all the marine scenarios that this production presented us, all the details are simply spectacular and there are many scenes that just by watching them, you feel immersed in the planet of Pandora and you can totally relax while enjoying the movie, there was a scene in the sea that had special effect with me.
Esa escena me hizo sentir una paz y tranquilidad increíble mientras veía la película y todas las escenas en mar eran muy relajantes para mí, debido a esto la duración de la película no me resultó agobiante, sino que al contrario se me hizo muy amena a pesar de que la película este llena de momentos lentos en la trama.
That scene made me feel an incredible peace and tranquility while watching the movie and all the sea scenes were very relaxing for me, because of this the length of the movie was not overwhelming, on the contrary it was very enjoyable even though the movie is full of slow moments in the plot.
NA'VY CULTURE
LA CULTURA NA’VY
Esto que me encanto de la primera película y que también amé de la segunda y es que la inspiración e influencia de culturas y etnias muy antiguas para la realización de los ritos de Pandora es muy grande y basta, Los hogares de las tribus del agua me recordaron mucho a las Palafitos de los waraos, aunque el rito fúnebre de Netteyam está inspirado en las culturas Hawaiana y Maorí.
Estos son solo algunas cosas que pude notar a simple vista, sin lugar a dudas hay muchísimas referencias a otro montón de culturas.

What I loved about the first film and also loved about the second one is that the inspiration and influence of very ancient cultures and ethnicities for the realization of Pandora's rites is very big and enough, the homes of the water tribes reminded me a lot of the Palafitos of the Waraos, although the funeral rite of Netteyam is inspired by the Hawaiian and Maori cultures.

¡Ahhhh!... Con esta película tengo sentimientos encontrados, porque a pesar de que hay muchos momentos en que los plot armor y deux ex machina son evidentes, la película es muy buena, pero no me termina de encantar, está muy bien hecha, pero hay muchas cosas de ella que no me terminan de convencer para decir “Como amo esta película” me encantan muchas de sus escenas, pero la historia es un poco más de lo mismo de la primera entrega y dejaron todo preparado para que suceda lo mismo en la tercera, los efectos visuales y el soundtrack son increíbles, al igual que las escenas de acción y casi toda la película, pero como mencione, se pierde mucho tiempo con Lo’ak y el tulkun exiliado y todo esto serian motivos suficientes para que la película no me guste, pero me gustó mucho realmente, he ahí mi contrariedad.
Pienso que se pudo haber usado mucho mejor el tiempo en pantalla que ya es bastante extenso para explicarnos o desarrollar mejor a ciertos personajes, ya que Netteyam tiene un papel casi ínfimo, aparece un par de veces y luego muere de una forma muy estúpida a mi parecer, todo para darle a Lo’ak su tan necesitado desarrollo de personaje, el cual no tuvo. El misterio de Kiri se podía resolver fácilmente insertando un flashback de la primera película, donde intentan salvar a Grace uniendo su conciencia a su avatar utilizando para esto el árbol sagrado y reuniendo a todos los Na’vy para pedirle a Eiwa que la salvara, en conclusión Kiri es básicamente el Jesús Alíen en la película de Avatar. Pero a pesar de todo esto, la película es excelente y la recomiendo sin lugar a dudas, aunque no para que alguien tan… quisquilloso con las películas como yo la vea.

Ahhhh!... A mi si me gustó, pero no me encanto, si me dejo una sensación de inconformidad, pero como dije, no la recomiendo a personas muy quisquillosas con el cine como nosotros, porque la verdad es que a la trama le faltan muchas cosas.
