Thursday - 2nd vaccine dose

The day is finally here for me to get my second vaccination dose. Finally. I am hopeful of border openings in the near future then my wife will be planning out our trips to new places. That's what we usually do at non pandemic times. Doing something new.

It is a public holiday today. Sarawak Day. Sarawak on the Borneo island was discovered by James Brooke when he came here. Recently, a movie was made about his journeys.

Sarawak used to be the land of the head hunters. Tribal Wars claimed the heads of warriors as trophies of war. Do check out the movie, if your a history lover.

It is amazing how jungles have developed into cities. The benefit of living in Sarawak and the on the island of Borneo in general is that loads of forest still exist. Only a small portion of the island is being converted into cities.

This is the map of Borneo and only the outer parts are developed into cities. The island is tucked deep in one of earth's tectonic plates. The only thing is that, there is no way to travel to Europe by land.
