Si eres amante de las películas de Indiana Jones, este film te va a encantar, ya que su trama me recuerda mucho a las aventuras que nos tenía acostumbrados Harrison Ford cuando estaba tras alguna reliquia poderosa, este film comparte una trama similar, pero en este caso con elementos modernos, incorporando un equipo que acompaña al protagonista Luke Purdue (Jhon Krasinski) quien hará todo lo que este a su alcance para lograr encontrar a la Fuente de la Juventud, que le devolverá la salud a su colega que financia todos sus proyectos que le queda solo meses de vida.

La película inicia con Luke un arqueólogo independiente huyendo de una banda criminal en Bangkok, después de robarse una pintura, la cual es parte clave para descifrar el misterioso lugar donde se halla La fuente de la Juventud, logra escapar airoso, pero este es solo el inicio de su camino, ya que debe conseguir 5 pinturas más, por lo que en su recorrido llega al museo donde trabaja su hermana Charlotte Purdue (Natalie Portman), quien se ve obligada a participar en esta aventura, una vez que se ve involucrada y es buscada por la policía. Los hermanos recuerdan las enseñanzas de su difunto padre, quien buscaba tesoros también y deciden unir fuerzas para encontrar lo que podría ser el gran descubrimiento de la historia.

The film opens with Luke, an independent archaeologist on the run from a criminal gang in Bangkok, after stealing a painting, which is a key part to decipher the mysterious place where the Fountain of Youth is located, he manages to escape with flying colors, but this is only the beginning of his journey, as he must get 5 more paintings, so on his way he arrives at the museum where his sister Charlotte Purdue (Natalie Portman) works, who is forced to participate in this adventure, once she is involved and is wanted by the police. The siblings remember the teachings of their late father, who was a treasure hunter as well, and decide to join forces to find what could be the great discovery of the story.

Luke ya tiene organizado un equipo que le colaborara en todo y emprenden esta gran aventura, veremos escenas de acción donde Luke tendrá que defenderse de Esma y sus hombres, además de la policía que les estará siguiendo los pasos muy de cerca, cada vez que van tras una pista deben ahondar en sus conocimientos para asegurarse que van en la dirección correcta, siendo estas escenas las que más me gustaron de la película, ya que involucran al espectador en la trama haciéndonos partícipe en descubrir junto a ellos datos históricos que serán de relevancia para ubicar en el mapa este lugar sagrado.

Una de las cosas que me gusto de esta película fue los diálogos tan frescos y la forma tan jocosa que Luke y Esma a lo largo de la película se relacionaron, además de sus actuaciones fueron muy buena y hubo mucha química entre ellos, con relación a Natalie Portman, me gustó mucho su participación esta actriz es muy versátil y nos demostró su espíritu aventurero con esta película.

One of the things I liked about this movie was the fresh dialogues and the humorous way that Luke and Esma interacted throughout the movie, besides their performances were very good and there was a lot of chemistry between them, in relation to Natalie Portman, I really liked her participation, this actress is very versatile and showed us her adventurous spirit with this movie.

Otro aspecto que se deja claro en la película es la motivación principal para Luke y su equipo para encontrar la fuente de la juventud está principalmente relacionada por el aporte positivo que le traería a la humanidad, dar a conocer el elixir que puede brindar la vida eterna, siendo este codiciado por una persona muy cercana a él con fines lucrativos que mostrara su verdadera cara al final, solo que la codicia siempre tiene un costo, y aunque la idea es que ustedes vean la película, lo único que les puedo decir es que al final los buenos siempre triunfan ante la maldad, y la justicia divina predominara, que es lo es importante.
