It begins with the engagement of King George and Queen Charlotte, who, without knowing each other, enter into this marriage without intending that love is part of an experiment the king's mother wants to carry out by uniting two races. One of the scenes I liked most was how George and Charlotte met, with her trying to run away on her wedding day while George tried to convince her that the king might not be the ogre she thought he was. They began a conversation in the garden which ended with a pact between them to get to know each other and be an extraordinary couple for the sake of the crown.

Solo que enamorarse no estaba en los planes del rey y se mostrara indiferente y frio después del matrimonio, dejando a su reina en una completa soledad rodeada de lujos y súbditos pero sin un rey a su lado, por lo que Carlota tendrá que buscar la manera de ser tomada en serio y llegar al corazón de Jorge, pero para ello deberá enfrentarse con el secreto mejor guardado por el rey y los suyos, y cuando Carlota se entere de la verdad, tendrá que decidir si quedarse a luchar junto a su rey o irse y darse por vencido; siendo Jorge III un personaje muy bien interpretado por Corey Mylchreest, quien vive atormentado desde pequeño por su madre en cuanto a todos los deberes que debe cumplir por el bien de su monarquía.
