Plot Summary:

An up and coming surgeon has a moral decision to make one day when he is presented with two patients. He is the only one who can help them but he can only save one. The patient the leaders the hospital in which he works wants him to save a specific person for monetary reasons. The other patient however is a small child. The decision ultimately lies with the dr. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave it at that.

The Bad:

Very slow burn. The slowest of any other anime I've ever watched. To be fair, it's about 70 episodes culminating into an epic show off in the last few episodes. So everything is meticulously laid out. You must have a great deal of patience watching this and I don't personally recommend a solid binge for this one.

The Good:

The detail in this anime is amazing. It's very realistic even in it's settings. For the most part everything that happens in this anime could potentially happen in real life. Which certainly helps make it particularly eerie and unsettling. It's meant to be a psychological thriller and it does that job fairly well. Because of the incredible amount of detail put into every episode, it's hard to share portions of this without creating some kind of spoiler. But suffice it to say, if you have the patience and like mystery this is the anime to fit your tastes.

Is it Worth The Watch?

I think so. But it's not for everyone. If you're looking for fast paced action this isn't it. There's action though but it's not packed in there. This anime is really unlike any other I've watched before. Still if you have time please consider watching at least a few episodes of this classic.
