CineTV Contest #74: Assimilate 2019
That's great, since I was little I have loved the Alien movies and series, from Alf, to every Alien movie, transformers, etc. But not long ago I was watching such films as Arrival and this one that I have chosen for the contest, which caught my attention because it has the presence of Calum Worthy.
Que bien, desde pequeña he amado las películas y series de Alienígenas, desde Alf, hasta cada película de Aliens, transformers, etc. Pero no hace mucho estaba viendo tales películas como Arrival y esta que he elegido para el concurso, la cual me llamó la atención porque tiene la presencia de Calum Worthy.
Assimilate is a science fiction and horror film directed by John Murlowski. The plot follows three teenage friends, Zach (Joel Courtney), Kayla (Andi Matichak) and Randy (Calum Worthy), who discover that their small town is being invaded by human-mimicking aliens. As the invasion intensifies, the youngsters struggle to survive and figure out how to stop the aliens.
Assimilate es una película de ciencia ficción y terror dirigida por John Murlowski. La trama sigue a tres amigos adolescentes, Zach (Joel Courtney), Kayla (Andi Matichak) y Randy (Calum Worthy), que descubren que su pequeño pueblo está siendo invadido por alienígenas que imitan a los humanos. The film begins with an exciting introduction that sets the tone for what's to come. The director uses impressive visual effects to create a tense and mysterious atmosphere. Music is also effective in building tension and suspense.

One of the highlights of Assimilate is the cast. The lead actors, Joel Courtney, Andi Matichak, and Calum Worthy, do a great job of portraying their characters. They each have a unique personality and an interesting dynamic between them. My favorite character was Randy, played by Calum Worthy. Randy is a smart and cunning young man who is always looking for creative solutions to problems. His wit and sense of humor make him very enjoyable to watch on screen.
Uno de los aspectos más destacados de Assimilate es el reparto. Los actores principales, Joel Courtney, Andi Matichak y Calum Worthy, hacen un gran trabajo al retratar a sus personajes. Cada uno tiene una personalidad única y una dinámica interesante entre ellos. Mi personaje favorito fue Randy, interpretado por Calum Worthy. Randy es un joven inteligente y astuto que siempre está buscando soluciones creativas a los problemas. Su ingenio y sentido del humor lo hacen muy agradable de ver en pantalla.
Assimilate's plot is exciting and action packed. The film keeps the viewer in constant tension as the young people try to survive the alien invasion. There are many exciting and terrifying scenes that keep the viewer on the edge of his seat.
La trama de Assimilate es emocionante y llena de acción. La película mantiene al espectador en tensión constante mientras los jóvenes intentan sobrevivir a la invasión alienígena. Hay muchas escenas emocionantes y aterradoras que mantienen al espectador al borde de su asiento.
One of the things I liked most about Assimilate is how the director managed to create a feeling of isolation and claustrophobia. Most of the film takes place in a small town, and the director uses cinematography to make the town seem even smaller and more closed. This adds a sense of imminent danger and builds tension.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó de Assimilate es cómo el director logró crear una sensación de aislamiento y claustrofobia. La mayor parte de la película tiene lugar en un pequeño pueblo, y el director utiliza la cinematografía para hacer que el pueblo parezca aún más pequeño y cerrado. However, Assimilate is not perfect. Sometimes the plot becomes predictable and some of the plot twists are a bit forced. Also, some secondary characters could have been better developed. While this doesn't ruin the movie, it is a weakness that could have been improved.
Sin embargo, Assimilate no es perfecta. A veces, la trama se vuelve predecible y algunos de los giros argumentales son un poco forzados. Assimilate is an exciting and entertaining movie that will keep the viewer in constant tension. The plot is interesting and the main characters are nice to watch on screen. The music and visual effects are effective in creating a tense and mysterious atmosphere. If you are a fan of sci-fi and horror movies, you should definitely give Assimilate a try.
Assimilate es una película emocionante y entretenida que mantendrá al espectador en tensión constante. La trama es interesante y los personajes principales son agradables de ver en pantalla. La música y los efectos visuales son efectivos en crear una atmósfera tensa y misteriosa. Si eres fanático de las películas de ciencia ficción y terror, definitivamente deberías darle una oportunidad a Assimilate.
