Carter 2022 Review - You Might Need Aspirin After Watching This
Carter 2022 by Jeong Byeong-gil

Carter is a 2022 movie directed by Jeong Byeong-gil. This is an action movie zombie-esque with a political plot and a game-like cinematography. I was actually looking for a good zombie movie to watch and this came into my search result. My recommendation got me to Carter which seems to be intriguing and from the poster itself, I expected quite a lot especially with Joo Woo and that it's Netflix affiliated compared to the regular K-film that I watch from TVN. I suppose this movie is one of those that received mix reviews and even from me, there are aspects that I like but also dislike from it.
If you are into K-drama and films, you know that he’s all around. However in this movie, he played a character that I think is out of his regular image. There are some American actors/actresses as well and one that I used to know is Camilla Belle, who has a few lines in the movie but I was thoroughly disappointed with her performance in this movie. There was not much to her line and even Joo Won acting was flat and he was moving like an NPC in a game character despite he was made the first person a.k.a the protagonist of the movie. Anyhow, this is purely my personal opinion after watching it and though there are some good aspects to the movie, I will let you be the judge in the end.
The movie starts showing a shirtless man, Carter (Joo Woo), waking up in a motel with no recollection of his identity. He was soon surrounded by CIA agents and was asked about his identity and he was accused of kidnapping the scientist who found the cure to the virus that was first spread in DMZ. However, since he had no recollection of what happened, he heard a voice from his ear who then guided him in order to find his real identity. However first, he has to save a girl named Hana, the daughter of the scientist who is also the living antidote to the virus. Eventually Carter and Hana attempted running away from the CIA agents and Carter eventually found out his real identity. He was an agent himself but changed his face and moved to North Korea and started a life over there. The ending eventually hinting at a sequel about the continuation of the virus and possibly a new setting other than South Korea and North Korea.
When it comes to the storyline itself, I personally think it is quite promising. However it was the choppy editing and the over the top drone shot that made me dizzy. At some scenes, the drone was moved up the hill then down the hill and I don’t think it was necessary at all. It was a game-like scenario that the character doesn’t show any emotions and is almost like an NPC. I also saw from putlocker, people were mentioning how they get dizzy and that is real. I even have to lie down after watching 2 hours straight just because my eyes were strained and the drone wasn’t slow at all. It was fast and there were a lot of action scenes that were quick and sharp. Some of the shots were shaky and as you can see above, that is the part where the drones were flying the Carter and Hana was running away from the zombie. It was swift, shaky, and there are many cases of this. However, what I appreciate would be the stunt work that goes into the movie because this movie has car stunt, falling stunt and even falling from the sky that I think wasn’t easy to shoot at all. It could have been good but I think it would be better if there were no excessive drone shoot.
Finally, I have warned you, so if you still want to watch it, that’s on you!

Oh man, I'm straight into watching this - sounds awesome! Now to find it..yep it's on Netters, excellent...
hahaha I hope you like it. I just get dizzy watching this as the drone moves really fast during some scenes.
It doesn't have good reviews! A shame..
I love this movie, at first I don't really understand and there are some plot twist and I love it. Lol
To me the plot twist wasn't good at all, something was just wrong in the execution. I really hope the next one would be better than this.
I hope so, are they planning to have a sequel?
I think it hinted that way by the end of the movie. So, I hope if they ever do, it's going to be better than the first one!
Thank you for this review, you have caught my attention and I think I will see this movie!
I have tried to contact a moderator of Hive Pets because I would like to know if I can publish a post about the importance of sterilizing cats, one of my cats was seriously injured because of a fight (he was the only one left to sterilize) and I do not know if they accept sensitive photographs of his wounds, I would like to be informed about this to avoid any problem, thanks for your help 😸❤️
You can post it just make sure to add warning on the post that it contains disturbing images.
Thankss ❤️
oooh awesome! I didn't know it existed and this looks like something I would definitely enjoy. Thanks for the heads up!
I am not sure if you would enjoy it, especially over the top drone shoots and maybe some cringe acting too. But I have warned you so :D I wonder if that's something you like.
From time to time I can dig that. Bad acting, especially when it is done in a semi-intentional way is actually something that I really enjoy. One of my favorite movies of all time, Evil Dead has some pretty terrible acting in it!
I'll have to check that out :D maybe I'll have something more to write like " I watched a bad movie so you don't have to"
I will skip this one. I dont want to have headache after watching a movie and I would rather watch a movie finished with a good ending. :D
You just made a good choice haha. Save yourself from headache and disappointment. This blog was originally titled, I watched a bad movie so you don't have to but I think it was too harsh so I changed it 😃
I think it is good to put this as a title 😆😆 it will help a lot in catching the reader's attention.
