El día de ayer luego de hacer las labores del hogar me senté frente a mi televisor y buscando en Neflix una película para ver llamó mi atención ¡Que Viva México! , una película que estaba en tendencia en la plataforma, sin embargo estuve tentada a no verla ya que tiene una duración de más de 3 horas, pero me alegra haberme decidido a verla ya que me gustó y me hizo reír demasiado.

La película trata sobre un ingeniero llamado Pancho, quién gracias a su abuelo pudo estudiar y ascender en la escala social, está casado con Mari una mujer frívola y clasista, juntos tienen dos hijos y una casa hermosa en la capital de México, ellos disfrutan de una vida cómoda, Pancho nunca ha mirado atrás, se olvidó de sus padres y sus hermanos, desde que salió de su pueblo natal y nunca ha regresado.

Mientras Pancho vive feliz en su mundo un día recibe la llamada de su padre quién le informa que debe volver a su pueblo, su abuelo ha muerto y su último deseo era que él estuviera en su entierro y en la lectura de su testamento. Con la promesa de una herencia Pancho decide volver a la Prosperidad, nombre de su pueblo y que de prosperidad solo tiene el nombre, ya que es un pueblo sumido en la pobreza y el abandono de quienes hacen falsas promesas en época electoral. Al llegar al pueblo Pancho se reencuentra con su familia que está llena de personajes que representan el peor lado de la clase baja, una hermana promiscua con un montón de niños de padres que la abandonaron, un narcotraficante, un hermano con un niña como esposa, entre otros personajes que retratan la ignorancia y la falta de educación de un pueblo que no hace nada para salir de su miseria, solo espera que todo le caiga del cielo.

En la película Pancho y su esposa Mari se involucran en muchas situaciones divertidas que hacen que te mueras de la risa. Realmente la película me gustó, cada vez que ocurría algo bueno había que celebrar en familia, aunque no había dinero para comer siempre se encontraba dinero para la parranda. Es muy difícil no sentirse identificado con alguna de las historias y lo que sucede en la trama.

El final de ¡Que viva México! no me lo esperaba, me sorprendió pero me pareció que fue perfecto para retratar lo que ocurre en ese país y en muchos países latinos. I really liked the movie, every time something good happened you had to celebrate with your family, even though there was no money to eat, you always found money to party.
