El Profesor de Persa (ESP/ENG)
Today I bring you a very good film from 2020 about a subject that has always caught my attention, the holocaust, The Persian Professor is not a very well known film, but once you see it you feel it is worthy of analysis, it is not based on a 100% true story but it does compile the testimonies of several people from that nightmare inside the concentration camps who managed to survive thanks to their ingenuity and cunning.
Hoy les traigo un film del 2020 muy bueno acerca de un tema que siempre ha llamado mi atención, el holocausto, El Profesor de Persa no es film muy conocido, pero una vez que lo ves sientes que es digno de analizar, no está basado en un historia 100% real pero sí que recopila los testimonios de varios personas de esa pesadilla dentro de los campos de concentración que lograron sobrevivir gracias a su ingenio y astucia.
Overview/Resumen
In this film we meet Gilles, a French Jewish boy who is transported with others in a truck to an uncertain destination. On the way, a young man asks him to give him half of his sandwich in exchange for a book in Persian. He denies because he thinks that this book has no use for him, however when he sees the man's face he feels sorry for him and decides to accept the proposal without knowing that this would save his life. A little further on the truck stops and the Nazis begin to murder the Jews, however Gilles is saved because he claims to be Persian and the commandant of a concentration camp needed a teacher of this language. The fact is that when Gilles arrives at the concentration camp and meets the commander, he coincidentally was arguing with his secretary accusing her of being "useless" for her ineptitude, something that increases the boy's fear, then the commander tells him that he intends to learn 4 words . daily, which adds up to a total of 28 a week, 112 a month and finally, at the end of the war (according to his calculations) he would learn more than 2 thousand words. Meanwhile Gilles was assigned to work in the kitchen but was terrified of being discovered and couldn't find a way to learn Persian in two hours before giving the commander his first class.
En esta película conocemos a Gilles un chico judío francés que es trasladado junto a otros en un camión hacia un destino incierto, en el camino, un joven le pide que le entregue la mitad de su bocadillo a cambio de un libro en persa, Gilles se niega porque piensa que ese libro no tiene ninguna utilidad para él, sin embargo al ver la cara del hombre siente lástima por él y decide aceptar la propuesta sin saber que esto le salvaría la vida. Un poco más adelante el camión se detiene y los nazis comienzan a asesinar a los judíos, sin embargo Gilles se salva porque afirma ser Persa y el comandante de un campo de concentración necesitaba un profesor de Farsi (el idioma de los Persas). El caso es que cuando Gilles llega al campo de concentración y conoce al comandante, este casualmente estaba discutiendo con su secretaria acusándola de "inútil" por su ineptitud, algo que incrementa el miedo del muchacho, luego el comandante le dice que pretende aprender 4 palabras diarias, lo que suma un total de 28 a la semana, 112 al mes y en fin, al finalizar la guerra (según sus cálculos) aprendería más de 2 mil palabras. Mientras tanto Gilles fue asignado a trabajar en la cocina pero estaba aterrado de que lo descubrieran y no encontraba la forma de aprender Persa en dos horas antes de darle la primera clase al comandante.
The only thing that occurred to the protagonist of this story was to invent four random, invented words, however the difficulty lay in memorizing them as well so as not to make future mistakes, this worked for him for a while and later he came up with the idea of memorizing the names of the prisoners to create words from them, this strategy worked for him until somehow the commander finds out and Gilles's life changes completely.
Lo único que se le ocurrió al protagonista de esta historia fue inventar cuatro palabras al azar, inventadas, no obstante la dificultad radicaba en memorizarlas él también para no cometer futuros errores, esto le dio resultado por un tiempo y posteriormente se le ocurrió la idea de memorizar los nombres de los prisioneros para crear palabras a partir de ellos, esta estrategia le funcionó hasta que de alguna manera el comandante lo descubre y la vida de Gilles cambia por completo.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
One of the most fascinating aspects of this story is its very creative story, because although it is inspired by many real events of people who survived thanks to their creativity and ingenuity, it is not based on a specific story, sometimes it can be a bit implausible the fact that a human being is capable of memorizing 1,800 names of people or what is more radically, invented words, thus creating a language, however, although many could saturate their brain and make millions of errors that would lead them to death, ironically in a vain attempt to survive, it is also true that there are people who react very differently, they are capable of thinking coldly and devising thousands of strategies to stay alive, for example, I have heard of people in Auschwitz ( the worst Polish concentration camp) who survived because they claimed to know how to play a musical instrument (and learned as they went)
Uno de los aspectos más fascinantes de esta historia es su historia, muy creativa, porque si bien está inspirada en muchos hechos reales de personas que sobrevivieron gracias a su creatividad e ingenio, no está basada en una historia específica, a veces puede resultar un tanto inverosímil el hecho de que un ser humano sea capaz de memorizar 1.800 nombres de personas o lo que es más radical, palabras inventadas, creando así un idioma, no obstante, si bien muchos podrían saturar su cerebro y cometer millones de errores que los conducirían a la muerte, irónicamente en un vano intento por sobrevivir, también es verdad que hay personas que reaccionan de modo muy diferente, son capaces de pensar en frío e idear miles de estrategias para mantenerse con vida, por ejemplo, he sabido de personas en Auschwitz (el peor campo de concentración polaco) que sobrevivieron debido a que afirmaron saber tocar un instrumento musical (y aprendieron sobre la marcha)
This film also tells us about the strong feeling of loyalty that exists between the characters, even in what seems to be the villain of the story, the camp commander (and I will not go into this too much to avoid spoilers). In the midst of fear, the pain and uncertainty you can not only be creative and resourceful but also loyal and grateful to those who have helped you in some way.
Esta película también nos habla del fuerte sentimiento de lealtad que existe entre los personajes, incluso en el que parece ser el villano de la historia, el comandante del campo (y en esto no ahondaré demasiado para no hacer spoilers) En medio del miedo, el dolor y la incertidumbre no solo se puede ser creativo e ingenioso sino también leal y agradecido con quienes te han ayudado de alguna manera.
I also loved the plot twist that the story took and also the fact that at the end of the day Gilles was able to express what he felt to the camp commander, the film shows us the reality of what a human being can go when pushed to the limit. of his physical or emotional forces, on the other hand I loved the cinematography, with a mostly opaque filter to highlight the oppression he feels in places as gloomy as the concentration camps or the simple fact of the war itself, I also liked the soundtrack and the performances Wow! Even the extras did a very good job.
También me encantó el giro argumental que tomó la historia y asimismo el hecho de que al final de cuentas Gilles pudiera expresar lo que sentía al comandante del campo, la película nos muestra la realidad de lo que puede llegar un ser humano cuando se lleva al límite de sus fuerzas físicas o emocionales, por otra parte amé la fotografía, con un filtro mayormente opaco para resaltar la opresión que siente en lugares tan lúgubres como los campos de concentración o el simple hecho de la guerra en sí, también me gustó el soundtrack y las actuaciones ¡Vaya! Hasta los extras hicieron un muy buen trabajo.

Me fascino esta pelicula, es diferente, unica,, especial increible como inventa el lenguaje, la escena que mas megusto es cuando el Nazi llega al pais y habla el idioma inventado, jajajajajajaja por supuesto sospechoso.
Es increible lo que los seres humanos somos capaces de hacer para sobrevivir.
