Knock the Cabin (Review) ESP/ENG
Hello friends, today I want to share with you a film that I loved, it was directed by none other than Night Shyamalan, used to give us surprises almost at the end of his films, with a disconcerting atmosphere. This one is interesting from the beginning, which makes it impossible to get bored, without further ado I want to tell you about "The Cabin".
Hola amigos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una película que me encantó, fue dirigida por nada más y nada menos que Night Shyamalan, acostumbrado a darnos sorpresas casi al final de sus películas, con una atmosfera desconcertante. Esta es interesante desde el principio, lo cual hace imposible que se aburran, sin más preámbulo quiero comentarles sobre "The Cabin"
Overview/Resumen
A family is going to spend a few days in a cabin near a forest, the family consists of a gay couple of men and a girl, and at first everything seems to indicate that this has upset the neighbours, because while the girl was playing near the forest collecting bugs, she receives a visit from a big and strange man who tells her that her family will have to make an important decision, He says this while three more people approach, armed with large and heavy tools, the expression of these people does not seem friendly, so the little girl runs home to tell her parents what happened, both men try to protect the house, but the intruders want to enter at all costs, one of them even seems to lose patience and breaks the glass to try to enter, and in fact they succeed. The pair of men are tied to chairs while the intruders explain to them that they are all chosen to stop the apocalypse, and that to do so, they (the family in the hut) must sacrifice one of their members, otherwise they might live, but it would make no sense to do so in a world doomed by imminent destruction.
Una familia va a pasar unos días en una cabaña cercana a un bosque, la familia consta de una pareja gay de hombres y una niña, y al principio todo parece indicar que esto ha molestado a los vecinos, ya que mientras la niña jugaba cerca del bosque recolectando insectos, recibe la visita de un hombre grande y extraño que le dice que su familia tendrá que tomar una importante decisión, lo dice mientras se acercan tres personas más, armados con herramientas grandes y pesadas, la expresión de estas personas no parece amigable, así que la pequeña corre a su casa a contarle lo sucedido a sus padres, ambos hombres intentan proteger la casa, pero los intrusos desean entrar a toda costa, uno de ellos incluso parece perder la paciencia y rompe los vidrios para intentar ingresar, y de hecho lo consiguen. La pareja de hombres son atados a sillas mientras los intrusos les explican que todos ellos son elegidos para detener el apocalipsis, y que para lograrlo, ellos (la familia de la cabaña) debe sacrificar a uno de sus miembros, de no hacerlo, podrían vivir, peor no tendría sentido hacerlo en un mundo condenado por la destrucción inminente.
Obviously neither of the two believe a word of what these intruders say, but as time goes on, certain signs arise that generate doubts, but in the end there is a completely impressive plot twist, something we are used to from Night Shyamalan, the director, who was also the director of Sixth Sense.
Obviamente ninguno de los dos cree una sola palabra de lo que estos intrusos dicen, pero a medida que va pasando el tiempo surgen ciertas señales que generan dudas, no obstante al final surge un giro de trama completamente impresionante, algo a lo que ya nos tiene acostumbrados Night Shyamalan, el director, que a su vez fue también el director de Sexto Sentido.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
One of the things I love the most about this film is that it doesn't beat around the bush, it doesn't ramble at all, it goes straight to the point, which makes it impossible to get bored, the tension is present in almost all the film, you can feel the anguish of the characters and the way the story is told seems to be heading in a very obvious direction, until almost the end, when we get a tremendous surprise 😲 😱. Thanks to the tremendous performances, it is not difficult to empathise with the family in the cabin, and the decisions they make throughout the plot are very logical, which adds to the realism of the story.
Una de las cosas que más amo de esta película es que anda sin rodeos, no divaga en lo absoluto, va directamente al grano, lo que hace que sea imposible aburrirse, la tensión está presente en casi toda la película, puedes sentir la angustia de los personajes y la forma en que es narrada la historia parece ir encaminada en una dirección muy obvia, hasta casi el final, cuando nos llevamos una tremenda sorpresa 😲 😱. Gracias a las tremendas actuaciones, no nos resulta difícil empatizar con la familia de la cabaña, y las decisiones que toman a lo largo de la trama son muy lógicas, lo que le aporta realismo a la historia.
Similarly with the intruders, Leonard, for example, despite his imposing size and the crazy message he carries, does not seem to be a madman, he is a calm man, very balanced and in fact he is the leader because he knows how to control the others without using violence, while Redmond (Rupert Grint 😍) is the opposite, an irascible and intolerant man, who although he is convinced of his message, has no patience to convince others and explodes easily when he gets frustrated.
De igual manera sucede con los intrusos, Leonard, por ejemplo, a pesar de su imponente tamaño y del mensaje descabellado que lleva, no parece ser un desquiciado, es un hombre tranquilo, muy equilibrado y de hecho es el líder porque sabe como controlar a los demás sin usar violencia, mientras que Redmond (Rupert Grint 😍) es todo lo contrario, un hombre irascible y poco tolerante, que aunque está convencido de su mensaje, no tiene paciencia para convencer a los demás y explota con facilidad cuando se frustra.
The flashback scenes are very well positioned (in my opinion) because they give us context and help us get to know the family better, who they are and what they are like. The cinematography is a work of art, perfectly accompanying each scene and helping to tell the story, conveying the emotions of the characters.
Las escenas flashbacks están muy bien posicionadas (a mi parecer) porque nos hacen entrar en contexto y conocer mejor a la familia, quienes son y como son. La fotografía es una obra de arte, acompaña perfectamente cada escena y ayuda a contar la historia, transmitiendo las emociones de los personajes.
Andrew and Eric's deductions and assumptions, based on everything they see and what happens throughout the plot, are quite logical and fit very well with what the audience thinks in general terms, at least what I thought.
Las deducciones y suposiciones de Andrew y Eric, basadas en todo lo que ven y a lo que sucede a lo largo de trama, son bastante lógicas y se adaptan muy bien a lo que piensa la audiencia en términos generales, al menos a lo que yo pensé.
This game is a lot of fun. I remember playing only the first season. What I like most besides its mechanics is its comic aesthetics :3
La peli está basada en un libro llamado "La cabaña del fin del mundo" de Paul Tremblay, pero a partir de la mitad de la película, la trama no es una adaptación fiel debido a que el director quiso hacer un trabajo diferente y por esa razón el film lleva un título distinto.
I honestly loved it, I think it's great to keep your mind active, guessing endlessly as you watch the film, because it is certainly very dynamic and every scene is tremendously interesting, the performances are very good and help to create that atmosphere of uncertainty and oppression. Shyamalan knows very well how to use the resources at his disposal to tell a good story, I really recommend it. Thank you very much for your attention, friends, see you next time.
Honestamente me encantó, pienso que está genial para mantener tu mente activa, armando conjeturas sin cesar a medida que vas viendo el film, porque ciertamente es muy dinámico y cada escena es tremendamente interesante, las actuaciones son muy buenas y ayudan a crear esa atmosfera de incertidumbre y opresión. Me gustó bastante esta película. A decir verdad, me sorprendió, no pensé que fuera muy buena y la vi solamente porque sale mi Broadway Baby, Jonathan Groff, pero me terminó gustando bastante, a excepción del final. Me hubiera gustado que mantuviera el final del libro porque es más impactante, aun así es muy entretenida.
