My Top 5 Favorite Movie Songs (ESP/ENG)

We all know that music is part of the film world, it is so important that through it the producers manage to effectively reach the audience, music is perfectly capable of making you feel immersed in a scene or identified with a character, and when the theme in question is good enough, the melody is catchy and people love it, it can become the best advertising for the film and even a great classic that lasts forever. Iconic themes that are part of the soundtrack of successful films there are many, but today I want to share with you my own selection, I hope you like it 😉.
Todos sabemos que la música forma parte del mundo cinematográfico, es tanta su importancia que a través de ella los productores consiguen llegar de forma efectiva a la audiencia, la música es perfectamente capaz de hacer que te sientas inmerso en una escena o identificado con algún personaje, y cuando el tema en cuestión es lo suficientemente bueno, la melodía es pegajosa y la gente lo ama, se puede convertir en la mejor publicidad para el film e incluso en un gran clásico que perdure por siempre. Temas icónicos que forman parte de la banda sonora de películas exitosas hay muchísimos, pero hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi propia selección, espero les guste 😉
Although I love all the songs on this list, my selection is set out in the following order, from least favourite to most favourite.
A pesar de que todas las canciones de esta lista me encantan, mi selección está establecida en el siguiente orden, desde la que me gusta menos hasta la que me gusta más.
5) Unchained Melody (Ghost)
There is no doubt that this song composed by Alex North on the music, the lyrics written by Hy Zaret, and performed in a masterful way by the band The Righteous Brothers is superb, both melody and lyrics represent very well the film and the pain of Sam and Molly to be separated from each other, it is almost impossible not to shed tears when listening to the background melody of this song and watching the scene where Sam says goodbye to his girlfriend before crossing to the side of the souls, a masterful scene, accompanied by an equally unforgettable theme.
No caben dudas de que este tema compuesto oportunamente por Alex North en la música, la letra escrita por Hy Zaret, e interpretado de manera magistral por la banda The Righteous Brothers es soberbio, tanto melodía como la letra representa muy bien el film y el dolor de Sam y Molly por estar separados el uno del otro, es casi imposible no derramar lágrimas al escuchar la melodía de fondo de esta canción y mirar la escena donde Sam se despide de su novia antes de cruzar hacia el lado de las almas, una escena magistral, acompañado de un tema igualmente inolvidable.
4) I Will Allways Love You (The Bodyguard)
One of the things that makes this song special is that it is interpreted by the powerful and prodigious voice of its protagonist, Whitney had a lot of interpretative strength, so she put a lot of feeling into this song. At the beginning it starts with a capella vocals, and then it is accompanied by a subtle melody that increases more and more. The song is quite nostalgic and puts us in context of the love that Rachel (Whitney Houston) feels and will always feel for her bodyguard and eternal love, Frank (Kevin Costner) as she is a singer she had no other way to express her love and gratitude than through music, it is also a hint (even without having seen the film) that the two characters do not end up together.
Una de las cosas que hace especial a este tema, es que está interpretado por la poderosa y prodigiosa voz de su protagonista, Whitney tenía mucha fuerza interpretativa, así que le puso bastante sentimiento a este tema. Al inicio comienza con la voz a capella, para luego ser acompañada por una sutil melodía que va incrementándose cada vez más. El tema es bastante nostálgico y nos pone en contexto del amor que siente y siempre sentirá Rachel (Whitney Houston) por su guardaespaldas y eterno amor, Frank (Kevin Costner) al ser ella una cantante no tenía otra forma de expresar su amor y agradecimiento que a través de la música, también es un indicio (incluso sin haber visto la película) de que ambos personajes no terminan juntos.
3) Everything I Do, I Do it For You (Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves)
This theme is also very strong, it appeared many times as an instrumental in some scenes of Robin and Lady Marian, I love the lyrics because it perfectly represents the bravery of Robin, who is a very brave character, able to do everything to protect his people and rescue Lady Marian from the evil Sheriff of Nothingam (my beloved Alan Rickman). There is a scene in the film that I love, in it we see Robin and Marian, she tells him that she can lose everything she has if they find out what she is doing, Robin replies that it doesn't matter, because she does it for the king, for her loyalty to him, but she replies that she does it for him, that is, for Robin, and meanwhile in the background we can hear the subtle instrumental melody of the main theme, just the one that corresponds to the chorus "Everything I do I do for you" it is perfect 😍.
Este tema también tiene mucha fuerza, apareció muchas veces de forma instrumental en algunas escenas de Robin y Lady Marian, me encanta la letra porque representa a la perfección la valentía de Robin, el cual es un personaje muy valiente, capaz de hacer todo por proteger a su pueblo y rescatar a Lady Marian del malvado Sheriff de Nothingam (mi amado Alan Rickman). Hay una escena de la película que me encanta, en ella vemos a Robin y a Marian, ella le dice que puede perder todo lo que tiene si descubren lo que ella está haciendo, Robin le responde que no importa, porque ella lo hace por el rey, por su lealtad a él, pero ella le responde que lo hace por él, es decir, por Robin, y mientras tanto de fondo podemos escuchar la sutil melodía instrumental del tema principal, justo la que corresponde al coro "Todo lo que hago lo hago por ti" es perfecto 😍
2) My Heart Will Go on (Titanic)
This was my favourite film theme over any other for many years until it was recently dethroned by the one that will take the top spot in this top, but going back to Titanic, who wasn't moved by Celine Dion's beautiful voice performing this song? The lyrics are very nostalgic and inevitably make us think of poor Rose, in her old age, looking at the horizon while thinking of Jack, her eternal love, whom she lost that tragic night when the largest ocean liner in the world (for its time) sank forever in the waters of the North Atlantic.
Este fue mi tema de película favorito sobre cualquier otro por muchos años hasta que recientemente fue destronado por el que se quedará con el primer lugar de este top, pero volviendo a Titanic, ¿Quién no se conmovió ante la preciosa voz de Celine Dion interpretando este tema? La letra es muy nostálgica e inevitablemente nos hace pensar en la pobre Rose, siendo anciana, mirando al horizonte mientras piensa en Jack, su eterno amor, al que perdió esa trágica noche en que el transatlántico más grande del mundo (para su época) se hundió para siempre en las aguas del atlántico norte.
1) Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Mannequin)
And finally we come to the first place of this top, Yes! I love this song 😍 and I can't get it out of my head since I heard it, even though I obviously didn't see the movie Mannequin when it was released, since I was two years old at the time, but I love the lyrics of the song because it puts us in context of the difficulties that Jonathan and Emmy (the main characters) have had to go through to be together, but they are still willing to overcome any obstacle. It's romantic but at the same time full of all the energy of the film. It was a great performance by Starship, and I especially loved the music video as both singers play the role of the main characters in the film, she as the mannequin, and he as the surprised and in love Jonathan.
Y finalmente llegamos al primer puesto de este top, ¡Sí! Amo con locura esta canción 😍 y no me la puedo sacar de la cabeza desde que la escuché, a pesar de que obviamente yo no vi la película Mannequin cuando se estrenó, ya que yo tenía dos años en esa época, pero me encanta la letra de la canción porque nos pone en contexto de las dificultades que han tenido que pasar Jonathan y Emmy (los protagonistas) para poder estar juntos, pero aún así están dispuestos a derribar cualquier obstáculo. Es un tema romántico pero al mismo tiempo lleno de toda la energía del film. Fue una gran interpretación por parte de Starship, y sobre todo amé el video musical ya que ambos cantantes interpretan el rol de los protagonistas de la película, ella como el maniquí, y él como el sorprendido y enamorado Jonathan.

Excelente top.. a mí me gusto mucho I Don't Want to Miss a Thing de Aerosmith que salió en la película Armagedón. Realmente que estás películas no serían tan legendarias sin ese plus de contar con una gran canción
Sí, yo también la amo, es uno de los mejores temas de Aerosmith, la voz de Steven Tyler hace que sea magistral y le de mucha fuerza al film. Gracias por leer y comentar.

Excelente Top 5, muy buenas baladas de grandes películas. Sé que hablar de un Top 5 es bastante limitante, porque hay decenas de grandes canciones para películas, pero por nombrar algunas no incluidas en tu conteo te dejo para que escuches Raise it up de la película August Rush; A step you can't take de la película Begin Again con Keira Knightley y Mark Ruffalo; Give in to me de Country Strong y por supuesto City of Stars de La La Land, una de las mejores de los últimos años.
