Una argentina "Perdida" en la Patagonia / A “Lost” Argentinean in Patagonia

En Argentina, como en muchos países del mundo, la cifra de niños perdidos es alarmante, pero ¿qué pasa cuando luego de muchos años se descubre su paradero, y los responsables de toda esa tragedia?

De eso trata la película argentina Perdida, que data del año 2018, protagonizada por Luisana Lopilato y Amaia Salamanca, siendo ellas, dos amigas separadas por un suceso lamentable, en un viaje escolar a la región de la Patagonia.

Esta historia es un drama policial, en la cual la oficial de policía "Pipa", interpretada por Lopilato, se dedica a la investigación de una red de secuestros de niñas, víctimas de la llamada "trata de blancas", las cuales son obligadas a prostituirse.

Con un carácter volátil, Pipa, ha hecho de su trabajo, la manera de expiar la culpa que ha sentido desde entonces al perder a su amiga, además de seguir indirectamente en la búsqueda de respuestas sobre qué pasó con ella en aquel viaje escolar, de donde nunca regresó.

Aunque para el cuerpo policial el caso de Cornelia, su amiga, estaba cerrado, la inesperada visita de la madre de ésta, la lleva a reabrirlo por cuenta propia, encontrando nuevas pistas que generan el desarrollo de la trama, con un suspenso poco logrado.

Escenas de acción poco trabajadas, y unas subtramas que rayan en lo absurdo, terminan aburriendo al espectador, quien encuentra las respuestas a los hechos, sin necesidad de que avance la película.

La historia estuvo entretenida, aunque los diálogos fueron bastante pobres y predecibles, pero la aparatosa caída del final, dejan un muy amargo sabor de boca. De hecho, al revisar la ficha técnica en la página de Imdb, no me causó extrañeza que la hayan catalogado con un pobre 5,7 sobre 10.

Al final, los personajes se desdibujan en sentimentalismos, dejando de lado el sentido de la justicia, la redención de los culpables y la sed de verdad que presentaron al inicio de la trama.

Y ni siquiera el recurso de los ambientes y paisajes hermosos de la Patagonia fueron bien utilizados como para justificar los más de 100 minutos que dura la película.

That's what the 2018 Argentine film Perdida is about, starring Luisana Lopilato and Amaia Salamanca, being two friends separated by an unfortunate event, on a school trip to the Patagonia region.

This story is a police drama, in which the police officer “Pipa”, played by Lopilato, is dedicated to the investigation of a network of kidnapping of girls, victims of the so-called “white slave trade”, who are forced into prostitution.

With a volatile character, Pipa has made of her work the way to atone for the guilt she has felt since losing her friend, as well as to continue indirectly in the search for answers about what happened to her on that school trip, from where she never returned.

Although for the police the case of Cornelia, her friend, was closed, the unexpected visit of her mother, leads her to reopen it on her own, finding new clues that generate the development of the plot, with a suspense not very successful.

The action scenes are poorly worked, and the subplots bordering on the absurd, end up boring the viewer, who finds the answers to the facts, without the need for the film to progress.

The story was entertaining, although the dialogues were quite poor and predictable, but the clumsy cliffhanger at the end left a very bitter taste in my mouth. In fact, when I checked the technical sheet on the Imdb page, I was not surprised that it was rated a poor 5.7 out of 10.

In the end, the characters are blurred in sentimentalism, leaving aside the sense of justice, the redemption of the guilty and the thirst for truth that they presented at the beginning of the plot.

And not even the beautiful Patagonian environments and landscapes were used well enough to justify the more than 100 minutes that the film lasts.
