Taking the mythical aftermath of the final sacrifice, the film finds the souls of Nezha and Ao Bing on the brink of bodily destruction, forcing them to embark on a dangerous quest to restore Ao Bing's body and confront a vast conspiracy that threatens to unleash a divine war.

The adolescent Nezha's arc is compelling because his voice conveys the internal struggle: the "demon boy" bravado gives way to raw vulnerability when faced with the possibility of losing his only friend.
Ao Bing (Han Mo): His performance is the necessary stoic counterpoint. Han Mo imbues Ao Bing with a dull ache, that of a sea prince who must bear the weight of a fallen family. The dynamic between the two, in voice and subtext, is the emotional anchor, a relationship forged in chaos that feels authentic in every line of dialogue shared.

The intensive use of fluid dynamics (water, fire, clouds) and the animation of unique demonic creatures (with skin that blends scales and natural textures) is a display of virtuosity in production design.

I strongly recommend it, but with one condition: the viewer must surrender to its breakneck pace and accept its operatic scale. It's a journey that, while demanding patience with its length, rewards with one of the most emotionally honest and visually stunning finales we'll see in a long time.

De china están saliendo trabajos cada vez más relevantes en muchos géneros. Independientemente de que soy un gran admirador de su cultura, lo cierto es que el reciente videojuego del Rey Mono puso a correr a toda la industria occidental cuando se dieron cuenta de hasta que punto estaban detrás del palo.
Con la animación viene pasando lo mismo desde hace tiempo, están ganando terreno a una velocidad brutal. Pero aquí hay que hacer un aparte, porque la barrera idiomático-cultural juega en contra nuestra, solo una pequeña parte de la producción china llega alguna vez a nosotros.
Es como por ejemplo las novelas (y relatos) de Cixin Liu, que se hicieron famosas en el resto del mundo, pero eso es solo el árbol que esconde el bosque, porque hay una excelente y muy bien desarrollada tradición de literatura de ciencia ficción allí, solo que oculta tras la barrera del idioma.
