Monsters University (2013) - De las mejores precuelas que he visto en la pantalla grande

Hola hive, hoy les quiero hablar sobre mi experiencia volviendo a ver Monster University. Monster Inc es una de mis películas favoritas de Pixar y cuando anunciaron que iba a salir una precuela me emocioné bastante pero también sentí miedo de que no me gustara, pero ¿logro cumplir mis expectativas?, ahora les cuento!
Monster university es una Película animada lanzada en el 2013, producida por Pixar y distribuida por Walt Disney Pictures, esta película nos muestra el pasado de nuestros protagonistas y el como poco a poco fueron forjando esa amistad inseparable. Monster University fue dirigida por Dan Scanlon y protagonizada por las voces de de John Goodman y Billy Crystal.
Me acuerdo que tuve la oportunidad de ver esta película en el cine y es que realmente me hacía bastante ilusión verla, ademas desde un principio la propuesta es interesante y aunque no tenía claro el camino que podía tomar la historia, si estaba abierto a que cualquier cosa. Para nadie es un secreto que muchas de las secuelas o precuelas que se lanzan con objetivo de exprimir lo máximo una franquicia no siempre sale bien y es que muchas veces el producto es una película vacía que no va a ningún lado y se siente como simple relleno, pero me llena de felicidad saber que este no es el caso.
Monster university elige arriesgar un poco y desligarse de lo que pudimos haber visto en Monster Inc, no la intenta replicar sino intenta crear una historia que pueda ser disfrutada por si solo y que a su vez se complemente con monster inc, sinceramente siento que esto es clave para que la película funcione tan bien y es que en un principio nos preguntamos “que tanto material se puede sacar de unos monstruos universitarios?” Pero pixar tenía la solución.
La animación de esta película es increíble, el nivel de detalle que maneja monster university es genial, y pensar que fue lanzada hace 10 años pero sin embargo la animación no deja nada que desear, ademas entre la primera y esta se siente una diferencia de animación bastante amplia, pero era de esperarse ya que entre una y otra hay más de 10 años de diferencia.
La historia de monster university es bastante completa, al principio vemos a un pequeño Mike Wazowski lleno de sueños y queriendo ser el mejor asustador de la historia, pero los monstruos nunca lo llegan a tomar en serio así que se propone a demostrarles que todos están equivocados, el arco que tiene este personaje es muy bueno y al final logra todo encajar, además de que la película está cargada de altibajos, haciéndola mucho más dinámica.
Otro aspecto que me gustó bastante es que Sulley y mike empiezan llevándose mal y de una forma forzada tienen que aprender a convivir y así terminan siendo muy buenos amigos.
Monster University es una película súper buena que puedo ver infinidad de veces y nunca me voy a aburrir porque es tan entretenida y divertida que aunque ya sepa lo que va a suceder igual siempre termina enganchándome, y siento que esa es la manera correcta para determinar si una película es realmente buena, no me atrevería a decir que es mejor que Monster Inc porque sinceramente no lo es, ademas monster Inc es un clásico, ahí no hay debate, pero si siento que monster University le hace justicia.
En fin, definitivamente si por alguna razón no la han visto deberían echarle un vistazo, porque Monster University tiene de todo un poco, Humor, drama y una buena historia, ¿que más podemos pedir? Totalmente recomendada.

Hi hive, today I want to talk about my experience re-watching Monster University. Monster Inc is one of my favorite Pixar movies and when they announced that a prequel was coming out I was pretty excited but I also felt scared that I wouldn't like it, but did it manage to meet my expectations, now I'll tell you!
Monster University is an animated film released in 2013, produced by Pixar and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, this film shows us the past of our protagonists and how they gradually forged that inseparable friendship. Monster University was directed by Dan Scanlon and starred the voices of John Goodman and Billy Crystal.
I remember I had the opportunity to see this movie in the theater and I was really looking forward to see it, also from the beginning the proposal is interesting and although I was not clear the path that could take the story, if I was open to anything. It is no secret that many of the sequels or prequels that are launched with the aim of squeezing the most out of a franchise does not always go well and often the product is an empty movie that goes nowhere and feels like simple filler, but it fills me with happiness to know that this is not the case.
Monster university chooses to take a bit of a risk and detach itself from what we could have seen in Monster Inc, it doesn't try to replicate it, it tries to create a story that can be enjoyed on its own and that in turn complements monster inc, I honestly feel that this is key for the film to work so well and at first we wondered "how much material can you get out of some college monsters?" But pixar had the solution.
The animation of this movie is incredible, the level of detail that monster university handles is great, and to think that it was released 10 years ago but nevertheless the animation leaves nothing to be desired, also between the first and this one you can feel a difference in animation quite wide, but it was expected since between one and the other there is more than 10 years of difference.
The story of monster university is quite complete, at the beginning we see a little Mike Wazowski full of dreams and wanting to be the best scarer in history, but the monsters never get to take him seriously so he sets out to prove them all wrong, the arc that this character has is very good and in the end it all fits together, plus the film is full of ups and downs, making it much more dynamic.
Another aspect that I liked a lot is that Sulley and Mike start out getting along badly and in a forced way they have to learn to coexist and end up being very good friends.
Monster University is a super good movie that I can watch countless times and I will never get bored because it is so entertaining and fun that even if I already know what is going to happen, it always ends up hooking me, and I feel that this is the right way to determine if a movie is really good, I would not dare to say that it is better than Monster Inc because honestly it is not, besides Monster Inc is a classic, there is no debate, but I feel that Monster University does it justice.
Anyway, definitely if for some reason you haven't seen it you should check it out, because Monster University has a little bit of everything, Humor, drama and a good story, what more can we ask for? Totally recommended.

La versión original de Monsters Inc es una de mis películas favoritas y está cómo precuela me encantó, especialmente por como desarrolla la relación de Mike y Sully y su mensaje final.
Así es, el desarrollo que le dan a estos personajes complementa totalmente lo que vimos en la primera entrega.
Es una precuela bastante decente, incluso la vi en el cine y me sorprendió porque pensé que era completamente innecesaria, pero resultó ser muy divertida. Aunque la verdad la me sigue gustando más Monsters INC, esa la puedo ver mil veces y me sigo riendo de lo mismo, jajajaja, MU no la he vuelto a ver y no creo que lo haga 🙈
Yo también la vi en cine y la disfruté muchísimo, de vez en cuando la pongo en el negocio para ambientar un poco jajaja
Desconocía que hubiera una 3era película! Y menos que sea precuela! Me interesa verla! Monster's INC es una de mis películas preferidas de pequeño, esos miedos a los monstruos y a la oscuridad en general era algo normal y con esta película un poquito se te va el miedo, o por lo menos eso recuerdo jaja. Abrazos!
