Saludos, en esta oportunidad les comparto la reseña sobre la película Hasta el último hombre al leer este nombre podría sonar aburrido o poco interesante, pero la verdad son 2 horas que valen la pena, esta película basada en hechos reales, publicada en el año 2016 y dirigida por Mel Gibson. La película narra los hechos de la Batalla de Okinawa en la segunda guerra mundial año 1971.

Greetings! Today I am sharing a review of the movie Hacksaw Ridge. The title might sound a bit dull or uninteresting, but it is truly two hours well spent. Released in 2016 and directed by Mel Gibson, this film is based on true events. It depicts the events of the Battle of Okinawa during World War II.

Desmond Doss es un joven adventista, que desde pequeño ha mantenido sus valores éticos y morales, es tímido, reservado y encuentra el amor junto a una enfermera que conoce en el hospital mientras llevaba a un herido. Pero no todo podía ser felicidad, el decide inscribirse en el ejército para ejercer su función como médico y ayudar a los heridos mientras se encuentran en la guerra. Su padre le advirtió que no sería fácil y que posiblemente no sobreviviría.

Desmond Doss is a young Adventist who has upheld his ethical and moral values since childhood; he is shy and reserved, and finds love with a nurse he meets at the hospital while bringing in an injured person. However, it could not all be happiness; he decides to enlist in the army to serve as a medic and help the wounded during the war. His father warned him that it would not be easy and that he might not survive.

En el campamento pasa por muchas situaciones que me decepcionaron ya que muchos de los soldados, sargentos, y capitán lo señalaron como débil, no se debería hacer juicios de una persona por simplemente su apariencia física. Sumándole que desde el primer momento se negó totalmente a utilizar y disparar el armamento, situación que generó disgusto ya que para ellos él estaba desobedeciendo las órdenes. Pero siempre se mantuvo firme a sus principios y su religión que no le permitía matar.

At the camp, he went through many disappointing situations, as many of the soldiers, sergeants, and the captain labeled him as weak. One shouldn't judge a person based solely on their physical appearance. Furthermore, from the very beginning, he completely refused to use or fire any weapons, a situation that generated displeasure since they perceived him as disobeying orders. But he always remained true to his principles and his religion, which forbade him from killing.

Durante la película de pueden ver escenas sangrientas, no hay tiempo de nada, sobreviven los que pueden, Desmond contribuyó como médico salvando a varios de sus compañeros, llevó su biblia con él y pidió a Dios que mostrara el camino para salvar uno más. Esta película nos muestra que muchas veces podemos equivocarnos al señalar a una persona haciéndolo menos ya sea por su religión, apariencia, si tienen la oportunidad de verla háganlo, una de las mejores películas que he visto, es conmovedora. Gracias a Desmond muchos de sus compañeros pudieron salvarse, nuevamente una mezcla de ciencia, fé y fuerza.

Throughout the film, you'll see bloody scenes; there's no time for anything. Only those who can survive are spared. Desmond contributed as a medic, saving several of his comrades. He carried his Bible with him and prayed to God to show him the way to save one more. This film shows us that we can often be wrong to judge someone, diminishing them because of their religion or appearance. If you have the chance to see it, do so; it's one of the best films I've ever seen—it's deeply moving. Thanks to Desmond, many of his comrades were able to survive, once again a blend of science, faith, and strength.
