¿El diablo viste a la moda? Pues sí, quizás sonará cliché pero fue la primera película que me vino a la mente cuando vi la temática de esta semana, ¡y no es para menos!

Does the devil dress in fashion? Well yes, it may sound cliché but it was the first movie that came to my mind when I saw this week's theme, and no wonder!

Para mí, esta película resultó muy interesante; con un mensaje real, esta película resalta el poder, el estatus social que muchos quisiéramos tener, la obsesión al trabajo a tal punto que la familia queda en segundo plano. Reduciendo la responsabilidad a suministrar solo lo material.

Andy o Andrea busca un empleo como para obtener buenos ingresos y usar el lugar como un trampolín para su verdadera vocación, sin embargo el mundo laboral es competitivo en cualquier ramo, pero la industria de la moda es más conflictiva, está llena de vanidad y saca las rivalidades más profundas del ser humano al punto de que la confianza y la amistad son difíciles de mantener, en ese mundo donde todas tienen una lucha por ser las mejores, las joyas, los zapatos, los perfumes vestir siempre a la moda es difícil de rechazar especialmente para las mujeres que por naturaleza nos fascinan estas cosas.

La película muestra como la explotación laboral, el abuso y la humillación a las que son sometidas los trabajadores, es un patrón muy marcado en este tipo de industrias por el grado de competencia y demandas que existe.

En la película, el Diablo Viste a la moda, protagonizada por Meryl Streep, excelente actriz con una gran trayectoria , en su papel de Miranda Priestly desarrolla su papel con la fuerza y el carácter que exige su posición como líder al frente de toda una industria de moda, el poder que da el dinero, el despotismo de quien sabe manipular la necesidad y los sueños de grandeza que produce el hecho de laborar en un lugar que presenta muchas oportunidades económicas para mejorar las condiciones sociales y colocarlas a su favor.

Andy casi sin querer se vio envuelta en ese ambiente exigente y las palabras de Miranda menospreciando sus capacidades tuvieron un efecto contrario y la llevaron a involucrarse tanto con un trabajo que inicialmente veía como un espacio donde podía conocer a la gente apropiada para lo que realmente quería, se convirtió en una experiencia deslumbrante que al final la llevo a darse cuenta que el precio por su éxito en la moda era demasiado alto. Violaba sus principios y se traicionaba a sí misma. La actitud del novio y los amigos de Andrea me parecieron egoístas, y llenas de envidia.

A pesar de lo vanidad deslumbrante de la película, no falto el toque humano en las más odiada; Miranda como esposa, manifestó, el dolor, la tristeza, cuando su segunda relación se termina por causa de su trabajo como directora en jefe de una famosa revista de moda, sin perder la esencia del personaje, la interpretación de Nigel me conmovió por su fidelidad a la revista y posiblemente a Miranda.

En general una excelente película que te mantiene centrada en las escenas que se desarrollan magistralmente por todos sus personajes, destacándose cada uno en la posición que les corresponde.

For me, this film was very interesting; with a real message, this film highlights the power, the social status that many of us would like to have, the obsession with work to such an extent that the family takes a back seat. Reducing the responsibility to supplying only the material.

Andy or Andrea is looking for a job to get a good income and use the place as a springboard for his true vocation, however the world of work is competitive in any field, but the fashion industry is more conflictive, it is full of vanity and brings out the deepest rivalries of human beings to the point that trust and friendship are difficult to maintain, in that world where everyone has a struggle to be the best, jewelry, shoes, perfumes always dress fashionable is hard to refuse especially for women who by nature we are fascinated by these things.

The film shows how labor exploitation, abuse and humiliation to which workers are subjected, is a very marked pattern in this type of industry due to the degree of competition and demands that exist.

In the film, The Devil Wears Fashion, starring Meryl Streep, an excellent actress with a great career, in her role as Miranda Priestly develops her role with the strength and character required by her position as leader at the head of an entire fashion industry, the power that money gives, the despotism of those who know how to manipulate the need and dreams of grandeur that comes from working in a place that presents many economic opportunities to improve social conditions and place them in their favor.

Andy almost unwittingly got involved in that demanding environment and Miranda's words belittling her abilities had the opposite effect and led her to get so involved with a job that she initially saw as a place where she could meet the right people for what she really wanted, became a dazzling experience that in the end led her to realize that the price for her success in fashion was too high. She was violating her principles and betraying herself. The attitude of Andrea's boyfriend and friends struck me as selfish, and full of envy.

Despite the dazzling vanity of the film, the human touch was not lacking in the most hated; Miranda as a wife, manifested, the pain, the sadness, when her second relationship ends because of her job as chief editor of a famous fashion magazine, without losing the essence of the character, Nigel's interpretation moved me for his loyalty to the magazine and possibly to Miranda.

Overall an excellent film that keeps you focused on the scenes that are masterfully developed by all its characters, each one standing out in the position that corresponds to them.
