Hello friends of #hive, and especially the Movies&TVshows community. I haven't been here for a few days, but today I'm back with a review of a series that I really liked. I'm only on the first season and I'm already eager to see the other two. I'm talking about the series "Lucifer," a very appealing and entertaining show that mixes countless nuances such as police mystery and religious fantasy in a glamorous nighttime setting in the city of Los Angeles.

The essence of this series is as simple as it is powerful, as the plot unfolds with the devil leaving Hell and, bored with the rules of heaven, settling in Los Angeles as the owner of the Lux club, and in the process, exploring the freedom to decide his own destiny. From there, the series turns the character of Lucifer Morningstar into a kind of antihero with many facets of charisma and, at the same time, an irreverent character who, surprisingly taking human form, is able to generate sympathy among people without losing his air of divine authority.

The great achievement of this first season is Tom Ellis' voice and charisma, as Lucifer is humorous, seductive, and at the same time vulnerable, someone who refuses to admit moral limits at all costs. His chemistry with Lauren German, who plays detective Chloe Decker, is the emotional driving force behind this season, as Chloe acts as a kind of earthly anchor for him. On the other hand, Chloe is a skeptical character with an intuition that seems to challenge even Lucifer himself. The fusion between two such different characters, an all-knowing being and a human who doubts and feels and who is also a shield, as his charms are useless with her, builds dramatic tension and is the most beautiful part that sustains the series episode after episode.

In this series, the setting is another thing that is luxurious, the night scenes of Los Angeles, the luxurious aesthetics of the Lux club, and the soundtrack with pop touches create a sophisticated and addictive atmosphere and environment, where the city is not just another backdrop, but shines so brightly that it seems like another character in the series, which features splendid locations where Lucifer can show himself as a god of deception or, sometimes, simply as a man who wants to be understood.

This series has moments of humor and tenderness, which help it avoid taking itself too seriously, without losing its ability to raise serious moral dilemmas. Each episode aims to uncover the mysteries of each case, where Lucifer can show his particular talent for detecting lies, manipulating the people he interrogates, and helping those who are suffering.

In this series, we also see moments of questioning about identity, guilt, and redemption between Lucifer and the other characters, which enrich the context of the series and bring to light different nuances, ranging from humor to the tension between loyalties and impossible destinies. In some episodes of the series, the cases feel repetitive, and certain twists do not always live up to expectations, but nothing beats the chemistry between the protagonists to overshadow these minor details.

The mythology explored throughout the series begins to hint at big themes about divine authority and personal freedom, although the truth is that it is not that profound and is still in its early stages, and may seem superficial to those looking for a more mature exploration of these ideas. However, I cannot deny that I personally loved this series, as the small details that might minimize it are nothing compared to the plot and the good performances of its protagonists and all the other actors in general.

Hola amigos de #hive y en especial a la comunidad Movies&TVshows hace algunos días no pasaba por acá, pero hoy estoy de vuelta con la reseña de una serie que me gustó muchísimo, y apenas voy por la primera temporada y ya tengo ansias por ver las otras dos, les hablo de la serie "Lucifer", una propuesta muy atractiva al público y divertida que mezcla un sinnúmero de matices como, misterio policial y fantasía religiosa en un escenario nocturno y de mucho glamur en la ciudad de los Ángeles.

La esencia de esta serie es tan simple como llena de poder, pues la trama se desarrolla en que el diablo abandona el Infierno, y aburrido de las reglas celestiales, se instala en Los Ángeles como dueño del club Lux, y de paso, explorar la libertad de decidir su propio destino. A partir de ahí, la serie convierte al personaje de Lucifer Morningstar como en una especie de antihéroe con muchas facetas de carisma y a la vez es un personaje irreverente, el cual sorprendentemente tomando forma humana, es capaz de generar simpatía ante la gente, pero sin perder su aire de autoridad divina.

El gran logro de esta primera entrega es la voz y el carisma de Tom Ellis, ya que Lucifer es humorista, seductor y al mismo tiempo vulnerable, alguien que se niega a admitir límites morales a toda costa. Su química con Lauren German, que interpreta a la detective Chloe Decker, es el motor emocional de esta temporada, ya que Chloe funciona como una especie de ancla terrenal para él, por otra parte, Chloe es un personaje escéptico y con una intuición que parece desafiar incluso al propio Lucifer. La fusión entre dos personajes tan diferentes, un ser que todo lo sabe y una humana que duda y siente y que a la vez es un escudo, pues con ella de nada sirven sus encantos, esta relación construye la tensión dramática y la parte más bonita que sostiene la serie capítulo tras capítulo.

En esta serie la ambientación es otra cosa que está de lujo, las escenas nocturnas de los Ángeles, la estética de lujo del club Lux y la banda sonora con toques pop crean una atmósfera y ambiente sofisticado y adictivo, dónde la ciudad no es solo un fondo más, pues luce tanto, que parece otro personaje más de la serie, la cual cuenta rincones espléndidos, donde Lucifer puede mostrarse como un dios del engaño o sencillamente a veces, como un hombre que desea ser entendido.

Esta serie tiene momentos de humor y también de ternura, los cuales facilitan que la misma no se tome a sí misma demasiado en serio, por supuesto sin dejar perder la capacidad de plantear dilemas morales demasiado serios. En cuanto a cada episodio, la misma va dirigida a descubrir misterios de cada uno de los casos donde Lucifer puede mostrar su talento particular para detectar mentiras, manipular a las personas que interroga, y además ayuda a la gente que sufre.

En esta serie también podemos ver momentos de preguntas sobre identidad, culpa y redención entre Lucifer y los demás personajes, las cuales enriquecen el contexto de la serie y sacan a la luz disímiles matices, que van desde el humor hasta la tensión entre lealtades y destinos imposibles. En algunos episodios de la serie, los casos se siente repetitivos, y ciertos giros no siempre alcanzan las mismas expectativas, pero nada como la química de los protagonistas para opacar estos pequeños detalles.

La mitología que se aborda en toda la serie, empieza a insinuar grandes temas sobre autoridad divina y libertad personal, aunque la verdad no es nada tan profundo y está en sus primeras etapas y puede parecer superficial para aquellos que busquen una exploración más madura de esas ideas, aunque no les puedo negar que a mí en particular está serie me encantó, pues los pequeños detalles que posee que puedan minimizarla, no son nada en correspondencia con la trama que posee, y las buenas actuaciones de sus protagonistas y de todos los demás actores en general.

En resumen, la primera temporada de Lucifer es una puesta en escena atractiva y accesible que presenta a un Lucifer irresistiblemente humano y a una Chloe Decker que desafía su encanto. Es una mezcla rica de humor, ritmo y misterio, que funciona especialmente bien para quien busca entretenimiento ligero, pero con capas de significado, así qué amigos, si les atrae una fusión entre policíaco y fantasía, con diálogos de humor y un protagonista inolvidable, esta es la serie que deberías buscar para ver, pues sin dudas se las recomiendo mucho.
