Hola amigos de #hive y en especial a la comunidad de Movies&TvShows, como siempre espero que se encuentren bien al igual que sus familiares y amigos. En el día de hoy paso por acá para hablarles de una película que vi en estos días, donde su eje fundamental es la toma de decisiones que se baten entre el deber y el deseo prohibido, les hablo de "Love Me Love Me", una cinta estrenada este febrero de 2026, y la misma está dirigida por Roger Kumble quien nos sumerge en una Milán sofisticada y oscura, donde las emociones se sienten siempre al límite.

La historia de esta cinta sigue a June, papel que interpreta Mia Jenkins, una joven marcada por la trágica muerte de su hermano, donde en busca de un nuevo comienzo, se traslada a Italia para estudiar en un exclusivo colegio internacional. En este lugar June intenta reconstruir su vida buscando seguridad y paz, algo que parece encontrar en Will, papel que interpreta Luca Melucci, el estudiante perfecto, atento, amable y con un futuro brillante. Sin embargo, la llegada de June a este círculo social, activa una bomba de relojería emocional al cruzarse con el mejor amigo de Will llamado James.

La historia se centra fundamentalmente en su triángulo amoroso, dónde se ve a la chica buena, dividida entre dos polos opuestos, ya que, por un lado, Will representa la estabilidad y el refugio emocional, y, por otro lado, James, papel que interpreta el español Pepe Barroso, encarna el peligro. James no es solo el chico rebelde, es un joven atormentado que canaliza su rabia en peleas clandestinas, un detalle que añade una textura visceral y agresiva a la trama. La química entre June y James es innegable y se construye a través de una rivalidad inicial que pronto evoluciona hacia una atracción eléctrica.

La película en general no teme mostrar la toxicidad y la intensidad de los vínculos entre el trío amoroso, pues plantea un dilema clásico, ¿es mejor elegir a quien nos cuida, o a quien nos hace sentir vivos, aunque nos destruya? Una interrogante que verdaderamente nos pone a pensar. Visualmente, la cinta aprovecha la elegancia milanesa para crear un contraste entre las aulas impecables del colegio y los bajos fondos donde James se desahoga. La dirección de Kumble se apoya en una banda sonora espectacular y una fotografía que resalta la belleza de sus protagonistas, cumpliendo con creces la estética de placer culpable que buscan los fans del género.

En fin, amigos, aunque "Love Me Love Me" no pretende reinventar el cine romántico y se apoya fuertemente en la transformación física de la protagonista, los secretos familiares y la violencia como desahogo, logra perfectamente su objetivo de enganchar. La verdad es una montaña rusa de hormonas y drama que explora la dificultad de soltar el pasado para abrazar un presente caótico. Es una cinta perfecta para todos los que disfrutan de los romances intensos y las decisiones imposibles, así que se los recomiendo mucho.
