Hello friends of #hive, and especially the Movies&TvShows community. As always, I hope you are all well, along with your family and friends. Today I'm here to talk to you about the series I've been following lately, "Lucifer," now in its third season. It has 26 episodes, and this season maintains Tom Ellis' irresistible charisma, cheeky humor, and explosive chemistry with Chloe Decker, played by Lauren German.

This season picks up right where the second one left off, with Lucifer waking up in the desert with his angel wings back and, most disturbing to him, without his demonic face. This change of identity is Lucifer's main emotional driver for much of the season. The devil who has always fled from his heavenly nature now faces wings he cannot control and the existential question: who the hell is he really? Tom Ellis undoubtedly shines especially in these moments of vulnerability, revealing layers that go beyond the sarcastic playboy.

His sessions with Dr. Linda, played by Rachael Harris, reach peaks of emotional depth that compensate for a lot of filler. The main antagonist, or rather antagonists, of the season is the mysterious Sinnerman, a criminal who seems obsessed with Lucifer and who steals his ability to grant wishes or favors. The revelation of who Sinnerman really is and his connection to the new lieutenant Marcus Pierce, played by Tom Welling, is one of the most talked-about moments in the series.

The addition of Welling as the cursed Cain is an interesting move, as it brings us an immortal villain who desperately seeks death, creating a fascinating contrast with Lucifer, who has historically wanted to escape his immortality but in a different way. The Deckerstar relationship, as Lucifer's relationship with Chloe is jokingly referred to throughout the series, goes through its most frustrating and at the same time addictive phase, as there are advances, setbacks, epic misunderstandings, jealousy, a temporary relationship between Chloe and Pierce that is painful to watch, and moments of romantic tension that make the viewer scream at the TV, and I mean that literally because it happened to me, ha ha ha.

In this part of the series, the chemistry between Ellis and German remains so powerful that one forgives the detours. On the negative side, the season suffers from its length. In my opinion, there are too many episodes of isolated cases that feel like pure filler, absurd celebrities, ridiculous plots, and monsters of the week that sometimes get tiresome. The Sinnerman Cain arc is stretched too thin, with revelations that are unnecessarily drawn out. Personally, I think episodes 10 to 18 are the weakest part of the entire series, although it's worth mentioning that the characters of Amenadiel and Maze have some brilliant moments, especially Maze with her identity crisis and her temporary alliance with Pierce, but others like Dan and Ella are somewhat underutilized.

On the other hand, the season finale makes up for a lot. The last four or five episodes raise the bar dramatically, as we see heavenly family drama, sacrifices, devastating revelations, and, above all, the moment that all fans of the series have been waiting for since season one, myself included, ha ha ha. Chloe finally sees Lucifer's true face. In fact, episode 24 is one of the best in the entire series, with a brutal emotional climax, intense action, and tension that left half the world with their hearts in their mouths, screaming for a season 4, which, fortunately, later arrived on Netflix.

In summary, friends, season 3 of "Lucifer" is somewhat uneven, excessively long, and at times frustrating, but it's also fun, sexy, emotional, and very faithful to the spirit of the series, plus it has some memorable episodes. so if you like humor, pop culture references, deep therapy sessions disguised as comedy, and seeing Tom Ellis strutting around in impeccable suits while suffering existentially, you'll like this season much more than its reputation for being weak suggests. Personally, I love it, regardless of whether it's shorter or longer, so I still recommend the series. It's not the best season, but I don't see it as weak as many say; it's simply an imperfect roller coaster that, in the end, leaves you wanting more. Happy day, everyone.

En el día de hoy paso por acá para hablarles de la serie que he estado siguiendo por estos días, "Lucifer" en su tercera temporada. La misma cuenta con 26 episodios y esta es una temporada que mantiene el carisma irresistible de Tom Ellis, el humor descarado y la química explosiva con Chloe Decker papel interpretado por Lauren German.

Esta temporada arranca justo donde terminó la segunda, Lucifer despierta en el desierto con sus alas de ángel de vuelta y, lo más perturbador para él, sin su rostro demoníaco. Ese cambio de identidad es el motor emocional principal de Lucifer durante gran parte de la temporada. El diablo que siempre ha huido de su naturaleza celestial ahora se enfrenta a alas que no puede controlar y a la pregunta existencial, ¿quién demonios es realmente? Sin dudas Tom Ellis brilla especialmente en esos momentos de vulnerabilidad, mostrando capas que van más allá del playboy sarcástico.

Sus sesiones con la doctora Linda papel que interpreta Rachael Harris, alcanzan picos de profundidad emocional que compensan muchos rellenos. El gran antagonista o mejor dicho, antagonistas de la temporada es el misterioso Sinnerman, un criminal que parece obsesionado con Lucifer y que le roba la capacidad de conceder deseos o favores. La revelación de quién es realmente el Sinnerman y su conexión con el nuevo teniente Marcus Pierce, papel interpretado por Tom Welling es uno de los momentos más comentados de la serie.

La incorporación de Welling como el maldito Caín es un acierto interesante, pues nos trae un villano inmortal que busca desesperadamente la muerte, lo que crea un contraste fascinante con Lucifer, que históricamente ha querido escapar de su inmortalidad pero de forma distinta. La relación Deckerstar como jocosamente lo suelen llamar en todo el trancurso de la serie a la relación de Lucifer con Chloe, pasa por su fase más frustrante y a la vez adictiva, ya que en ella hay avances, retrocesos, malentendidos épicos, celos, una relación temporal de Chloe con Pierce que duele ver, y momentos de tensión romántica que hacen que el espectador grite al televisor, y esto lo digo literalmente porque a mí me pasó ja, ja, ja.

En esta parte de la serie, la química entre Ellis y German sigue siendo tan potente que uno perdona los rodeos. En lo negativo, la temporada sufre por su longitud, a mi entender hay demasiados episodios de casos aislados que se sienten como relleno puro, celebridades absurdas, tramas ridículas y monstruos de la semana que a veces cansan. El arco del Sinnerman Caín se estira demasiado, con revelaciones que se dilatan innecesariamente. Yo en lo personal creo que del episodio 10 al 18 aproximadamente se puede decir que es la parte más floja de toda la serie, sin dejar de mencinar que los personajes de Amenadiel y Maze tienen momentos brillantes, sobre todo Maze con su crisis de identidad y su alianza temporal con Pierce, pero otros como Dan o Ella quedan algo desaprovechados.

Por otra parte, el final de temporada compensa mucho, los últimos 4 o 5 episodios suben el nivel drásticamente, ya que en ella podemos ver drama familiar celestial, sacrificios, revelaciones devastadoras y, sobre todo, el momento que todos los fans de la serie esperaban desde la temporada 1 y ahí me incluyo yo ja, ja, ja, Chloe finalmente ve el verdadero rostro de Lucifer, de hecho el episodio 24 es uno de los mejores de la serie entera, con un clímax emocional brutal, acción intensa y una tensión que dejó a medio mundo con el corazón en la mano y gritando por una temporada 4 que, afortunadamente, llegó después en Netflix.

En resumen, amigos, la temporada 3 de "Lucifer" es algo irregular, excesivamente larga y a ratos frustrantes, pero también es divertida, sexy, emotiva y muy fiel al espíritu de la serie, además de que tiene algunos episodios memorables, así que amigos si les gusta el humor, las referencias pop, las sesiones de terapia profundas disfrazadas de comedia y ver a Tom Ellis pavoneándose con trajes impecables mientras sufre existencialmente, esta temporada te va a gustar mucho más de lo que su fama de floja sugiere. A mí en lo personal me encanta, no importa si es más corta o más larga, así que igual es una serie que sigo recomendando. No es la mejor temporada, pero tampoco la veo tan floja como muchos dicen, es simplemente una montaña rusa imperfecta que, al final, te deja con ganas de más. Feliz día todos.
