The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)" is one movie masterpiece directed by the filmmaker Wes Anderson. When it comes to movies that used vintage technology, The Grand Budapest Hotel Is one of my favourite movies in such a beautiful and meaningful way. From the old antique telephones used, to the typewriters, every detail is used to create a nostalgic world. For me the movie is definitely a true work of art that I will always remember for its stunning vintage details, and its unforgettable characters. It's a movie that will evoke nostalgia within you as a viewer while still feeling fresh and original.

This movie, "The Grand Budapest Hotel" is a charming story with a whimsical plot that took place in a fictional alpine town known as Zubrowka. Its plot centres around the Grand Budapest Hotel, a hotel that is known to be luxurious and clearly depicts the spirit of an era long gone.

From my research, director Wes Anderson has been known for his meticulous setting and use of colour in his movies and this movie is no exception too. The scenes were carefully arranged with perfect symmetry to create a world that felt both unreal yet familiar. The use of multiple aspect ratios, from the classic "square" look to the wide cinematic aspect ratio, added to the film's sense of time and place. A visual depiction that took us back in time.

All through the movie "The Grand Budapest Hotel", I kept wondering how the scenes were made in such a way that vintage technology is woven deep into the fabric of the story. Especially the hotel, it is just like a museum of the past, with everything in it being vintage. That is its outdated phones, the manual light switches, down to the brass keys.

The movie's story structure also evokes a bygone era, as the narration is told through the eyes of a person who is recalling a time from decades past. Through that, we see typewriters and printing presses that take us further back to an even more distant time.

"It's not just its visuals, it's also funny and well executed by the cast. The dialogue was witty and elaborate, and the characters were quirky.
Even the sad moments are leavened upa bit with a lighthearted touch.

Ralph Fiennes played the character of Monsieur Gustave H. He brought it to life with his performance. So good that he stole the scene with his impeccable comedic timing and subtle mannerisms. His chemistry with Tony Revolori, who played the eager young lobby boy Zero Moustafa, was a delight to watch. The two actors flowed seamlessly, with their banter and interpla. They did well in adding a great deal of humour and heart to the story.

The supporting cast in "The Grand Budapest Hotel" too did nice jobs. Each one of them brings their own unique energy to the film, making every scene a treat.

Plot
The plot of "The Grand Budapest Hotel(2014)" is a fast-paced adventure. It follows the story of a stolen Renaissance painting, a murder mystery, and an escape through the snowy mountains. The story was cleverly structured. It's just like multiple stories interwoven within each other. Giving the movie a complex and intricate feel. Not forgetting the vibrant visuals and its unique setting that added to its appeal, a visual feast for the eyes. I've seen the movie a lot of times and each time i still discovered something vintage in its setting.

I loved the sled chase sequence. It is one of my memorable moments in the movie. This high-speed pursuit sequence perfectly captured the sense of adventure and excitement in the entire movie for me. From the snowy mountain scenes to its clever use of special effects, each scene is a testament to Anderson's unique vision and passion for filmmaking.

"The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)'' is a truly great movie. It truly paid tribute to the old vintage days. A movie you all should see.
