So for this weeks contest I'm choosing "World War Z" as my favourite zombie thriller.

World War Z is one thrilling zombie movie that has always had me on the edge of my seat everytime I see it, from its start to its finish. Believe me when I say that there's this love and hate relationship I've always had with zombie movies.

Sometimes, I find them terrifying, other times, there's something strangely interesting about them. I see it as a pictorial representation of what the world would be like in apocalypse.

Growing up in my home, we weren't really allowed to watch zombie movies or anything horror related. Hence the reason I can't forget the first time I saw a zombie movie, which was "Dawn of the Dead" . I could swear that I was both elated and terrified. That tension mixed with the suspense, and at that moment you're literally shaking in fear all kept me glued to the movie.

At first when I saw the name of this movie "World War Z, I couldn't resist because I thought it was some war/action movie. I never knew it was a zombie movie and not your regular kind of zombie movie. Like the name, it was really the world in war with zombies. A global thriller that takes you on a whirlwind journey to save humanity.

The movie had stars like Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, who was a former United Nations investigator. Brad Pitt did justice to his character, he delivered a solid top shot performance as Gerry Lane. He was never a superhero but due to the present situation he became one.

Also this movie literally revolves around him as you get to journey with him on this adventure. Then you can't help but root for him to succeed as the movie progresses.

Just like other movies, the story began with an ordinary normal day when all of a sudden, there's chaos after a virus starts turning people into raging zombies. And believe me, these zombies in World War Z are not like any zombies you've seen or watched in movies before. They have these incredible speed and agility, andbl it all feels like they operate in coordinated groups. Something totally different.

Now Gerry's was tasked to find the source of the virus and, hopefully, find a way to stop the pandemic. He literally travelled the world, from South Korea to Israel to Wales in search of this source.

My best scene in the movie was the scene in Jerusalem. It was so intense and emotional scene. You get to see thousands of people scared of their lives and trying to escape the city. You feel what they feel at that moment. Then you also see these zombies scaling the city walls like ants.

The story writers did good in not wasting time on too much lengthy character developments. It's just like you're thrown headfirst into the action, hen you become breathless as the action emerses you. It's a hell of a roller coaster ride in a movie, feeling the desperation and determination of the character.

World War Z is filled with the suspense, the action, and the underlying message about the vulnerability of our world. A mix of different emotions in one. You should see it.

Knowing that there's some action on there is enough to get me scampering to see it. I'd go download and see for myself
