Movie Review: Teach You A Lesson.

I've been a fan of movies for a very long time. But this particular one compelled me to write a review. It's one of the few movies I've watched and stayed glued to the screen throughout.

The movie is titled "Teach You A Lesson." It is a Korean movie. I enjoy watching Korean movies a lot. And a lot of people find it a little weird; I think they believe Korean movies are for females. But this particular one, Teach You a Lesson, is one I can recommend for anyone looking to watch or try out a Korean movie. At the end of this write-up, I will also give some more suggestions.

This particular movie focuses on bullying, abuse of power, and how most students, including parents, believe they can do and get away with anything. The whole story is centered on schools, students, parents, and the ERPB, which is under the Ministry of Education.

That is where Na Hwa-Jin came in. He works for the Ministry of Education and is the lead inspector of the ERPB; then there's the minister for the Ministry of Education, his deputy, who's often called Deputy Bong, and then Im Han Rim, who's also an inspector for the ERPB.

Na Hwa-Jin happens to be the in-law of the minister, but his wife got killed by a student in school. So when the ERPB got formed, a lot of people were against it, believing it was for a personal vendetta and revenge's sake. And in all honesty, Na-Hwa Jin's ways of solving problems and dealing with students are a bit out of the norm; it even makes the movie more interesting to watch. It goes beyond just fighting; it's about fighting and standing up for people who couldn't do anything for themselves.

Right from the very first episode, I find myself wanting to see what's coming up next, and honestly, they delivered. Just when I thought, "What else?" the story took another turn. There are some of these scenes in this movie that I feel sorry for the victims; some made me angry, and others left me smiling.

Let's talk about the fight scenes too; they were very well delivered. I felt every kick and every punch, and guess what? All of these fighting scenes aren't just there for entertainment's sake; there are reasons behind them, and they came right when they should; that way, it helps push the story forward. Kudos to the actors; each one of them did excellently well.

And as a teacher that I am at the moment, the movie meant more to me as it raises very serious questions, questions like, what exactly is education? What should happen when those that are to protect students fail at it? And even though I really do not agree with all the methods being used to solve and crack each case in this movie, I very well understand why they have to do it that way.

Honestly, you will enjoy this movie. Just give it a watch and thank me later. It's all in one, a mix of suspense, action, and life issues. Don't worry; just start watching it. Much more than the little I've said, the movie itself will keep you glued. There's absolutely no boring moment in it.

This is actually my first time writing a movie review. I guess I just feel I must do something about this particular one. And like my boss would always do at the end of each of his movie reviews, I will love to do the same too by rating it.

My Rating; 8.8/10.
