Movie Review: To My Beloved Thief.

Hello everyone, this is my second movie review, and just like the first, this happens to be a Korean movie as well. Not as if it is intentional, though, but I'm a fan of Korean movies. Possibly, my next one will not be, but I'm not promising you that, though. 😀.

Movie Review: To My Beloved Thief.

Ok, so the title for this is "To My Beloved Thief." You know, Korean movies have a way of pulling you in even with their titles. Aside from that, they usually have the very best storylines, filled with suspense and real emotions too. I finished watching the movie earlier this week, and I thought it best to do this.

This particular movie has Hong Eun-Jo and Prince Yi Yeol as the main cast; she's a very skilled physician who also has a second life. I mean, she treats people in the day and steals at night. But then, she's not that kind of thief you're thinking of. Nah, she steals from corrupt officials who wouldn't dare talk about being robbed; she steals from them and gives to the needy. And that is where the prince came in. Prince Yi Yeol has been hearing about this thief for a long time and is bent on finding who it was. No one ever knew the thief was a female. In the long run, while trying to find and catch the thief, Prince Yi Yeol fell in love with her.

We all know most Korean movies will definitely have something about love in them; this one does too, but then I love how everything was so balanced. It wasn't all romance, and it wasn't all action. The movie took a lot of turns that I didn't see coming. Talk of when they began to separate the body; that was another level of fun on its own. The thief would be in the prince's body while the prince would be in the thief's body. And I almost got them mistaken for each other at times, but they actually handled it well.

There are a lot of funny scenes there, there are emotional ones, and a lot more that will keep you glued to really know what is coming next. And all the supporting casts did a good job. Like, they delivered excellently well.

One of the few things I picked from the movie is that a person might actually break the law for a good deed, also that people are not always what they seem to be, and that those who we revere and respect at times can be the real villains.

To my beloved thief. I can recommend that movie to anyone looking to try a Korean movie out. It kept me glued from the beginning to the end, and I'm sure you will love it too. The first movie I reviewed was Teach You a Lesson; you can check it out here Link. I can recommend that too.
