Las historias de amor son las más hermosas y las más tristes también. Están llenas de alegría, momentos felices, pero también de tristeza, nostalgia e instantes dónde la gente implicada, se la pasa mal. Y es que así es el Amor.
Da para todo y sobre todo, para historias que se llevan al cine y a las pantallas, para llenar nuestros corazones de sonrisas, llantos, emociones únicas que nos proporcionan y vivimos a plenitud mirándolas durante horas de producción.
Desde tiempos antiguos, el chocolate se ha relacionado con la felicidad y también con el amor. Regalar chocolates estando enamorado, es algo significativo tanto para el que lo da, como para el que lo recibe y es en definitiva, algo mágico.
Y déjenme decirles, antes de continuar, que me complace mucho, estar de regreso en esta excelente y apreciada comunidad. En mi ausencia no crean que no vi series 😆 fue lo que más hice, sobre todo las del género de dramas asiáticos.

Since ancient times, chocolate has been associated with happiness and also with love. Giving chocolates when you’re in love is meaningful for both the giver and the receiver, and it’s definitely something magical.
And let me tell you, before I continue, that I’m very pleased to be back in this excellent and cherished community. Don’t think I didn’t watch any shows while I was away 😆—that’s what I did most of all, especially Asian dramas.
Siguiendo con el chocolate, que como sabemos, está lleno de magia y corazón, les traigo la recomendación de una serie japonesa que se estrenó hace poco, y que trata sobre el mundo del chocolate relacionado con las emociones.
La serie se llama Románticos Anónimos y me salió reflejada en las recomendaciones de Netflix, mi plataforma favorita a la hora de ver series y películas.
Esta serie la comencé a ver sin mucha expectativa pues, debo confesar que, mis favoritas, son las coreanas. Sin embargo, decidí darle una oportunidad por lo corto de su formato y el tema. Además de que, la protagonista es una actriz coreana que he visto en otros k-dramas de éxito y me han gustado sus interpretaciones.
Fue así como empecé a verla y me cautivó por su esencia idealista y romántica en torno a un elemento tan popular de la cocina, como lo es el chocolate. Es una producción del 2025, y consta de 8 capítulos, producida por Riki Project, compañía japonesa y distribuida por Netflix al resto del mundo.

Sticking with chocolate—which, as we all know, is full of magic and heart—I’d like to recommend a Japanese series that premiered recently, exploring the world of chocolate as it relates to emotions.
The series is called Romantics Anonymous, and it popped up in my recommendations on Netflix, my go-to platform for watching series and movies.
I started watching this series without much expectation because, I must confess, my favorites are Korean dramas. However, I decided to give it a chance because of its short format and the theme. Plus, the lead actress is a Korean actress I’ve seen in other hit K-dramas, and I’ve enjoyed her performances.
That’s how I started watching it, and I was captivated by its idealistic and romantic essence centered around such a popular culinary ingredient as chocolate. It’s a 2025 production consisting of 8 episodes, produced by Riki Project, a Japanese company, and distributed worldwide by Netflix.
La historia se desarrolla en Japón, en torno al oficio chocolatero. Los protagonistas sufren fobias por traumas de la niñez y, el destino los acerca en un punto muy particular, que es el oficio de hacer chocolates.
Me gustó de la historia el cómo, en inicio, los protagonistas se acercan de forma laboral, la cual, a la vez, los conduce a un acercamiento personal. El compartir una particularidad en la que, ambos, cuando están juntos, desaparecen sus fobias, llegando a ser normales, es algo fabuloso. Esa lucha por superar ese escollo, los va acercando en el camino, a la vez que comparten el lindo mundo del chocolate en una empresa dedicada a tal fin.
La trama muestra que, más allá del mero interés comercial de fabricar el chocolate, están el corazón y los sentimientos que le imprimen quienes se dedican a ello.
El amor, la amistad, la superación de traumas, todos acompañados de ese sentimiento bonito que envuelve al chocolate como elemento mágico acompañante de las emociones, se consiguen en esta serie.

The story takes place in Japan and revolves around the art of chocolate-making. The main characters suffer from phobias stemming from childhood traumas, and fate brings them together through a very specific shared interest: the craft of making chocolate.
What I liked about the story was how, at first, the main characters come together through their work, which, in turn, leads to a personal connection. The fact that they share a unique trait—that when they are together, their phobias disappear and they become normal—is wonderful. Their struggle to overcome this obstacle brings them closer along the way, as they share the beautiful world of chocolate in a company dedicated to that very purpose.
The plot shows that, beyond the mere commercial interest in making chocolate, there is the heart and the feelings that those dedicated to it infuse into it.
Love, friendship, overcoming trauma—all accompanied by that beautiful feeling that surrounds chocolate as a magical element accompanying emotions—are found in this series.
Se presentan diferentes traumas en distintos personajes, los cuales son superados por el intento de los mismos, de alcanzar la felicidad personal.
La protagonista femenina es para mí la más genial. La representación del personaje con escopofobia (temor a ser observado por los demás), demasiado precisa y bien actuada. Ella es la actriz surcoreana Han Hyo jo. La había visto en otras series en papeles muy distintos y la verdad me sorprendió muy agradablemente verla tan acertada en este difícil personaje. Aplausos para ella.
La escenografía del mundo chocolatero estuvo muy bien ambientada y realista. Esa parte me cautivó, así como los personajes principales luchando por la autosuperación de sus fobias y juntándose a pesar de sus prejuicios, para así tratar de alcanzar la felicidad.
Una serie corta, fácil de ver y disfrutar. Romántica, alegre, emocional y vistosa, con sus momentos tiernos y también de risa. Se las recomiendo para un fin de semana, si les gustan las historias de amor que también tengan mensajes de superación personal. Cómo siempre, agradezco su compañía y espero hayan disfrutado esta lectura. Nos vemos la próxima vez.

Different characters face various traumas, which they overcome through their own efforts to achieve personal happiness.
The female lead is, in my opinion, the best part of the show. The portrayal of the character with scopophobia (the fear of being watched by others) is spot-on and brilliantly acted. She is the South Korean actress Han Hyo-jo. I’d seen her in other series in very different roles, and I was pleasantly surprised to see her nail this challenging character so perfectly. Kudos to her.
The setting of the chocolate-themed world was very well-crafted and realistic. That aspect captivated me, as did the main characters’ struggle to overcome their phobias and come together despite their prejudices, all in an effort to find happiness.
A short series, easy to watch and enjoy. Romantic, cheerful, emotional, and visually appealing, with its tender moments and plenty of laughs.
