El romance continúa en este verano y durante la madrugada me di el tiempo de ver la película que está causando sensación, he visto que varios de mis compañeros en hive han subido su punto de vista, no los he leído para que no influyan en mi perspectiva pero luego de publicar les daré un vistazo. La película no estaba dentro de mis planes, pero gracias a una conversación con una amiga que me recomendaba verla a pesar de que no estaba contenta con ciertas cosas, decidí darle la oportunidad para poder dialogar a gusto con ella. Así es como rodeada de la compañera perfecta de la noche, comencé esta aventura de: corazones malheridos o Purple Hearts

The romance continues this summer and during the early morning I took the time to watch the movie that is causing a sensation, I have seen that several of my colleagues in hive have uploaded their point of view, I have not read them so they do not influence my perspective but after posting I will give them a look. The movie was not in my plans, but thanks to a conversation with a friend who recommended me to watch it even though she was not happy with certain things, I decided to give it the opportunity to be able to dialogue at ease with her. That's how, surrounded by the perfect companion for the night, I started this adventure of: Purple Hearts.

Una frase clave en uno de los ámbitos que toca la película, todos quisiéramos que la guerra no existiera, pero lo existe, y hay gran cantidad de personas que van a lugares hostiles cómo defensa patriótica, pero ¿qué pasa con los que se quedan? Están siempre con ellos en mente, con el regresa a casa en la boca.

A key phrase in one of the areas the film touches on, we all wish war didn't exist, but it does, and there are a lot of people who go to hostile places as patriotic defense, but what about those who stay? They are always with them in mind, with the come home in their mouths.

Esta película no es solo romance y drama, es una crítica al sistema, a la sociedad, a los medios, también es un grito a la aceptación social, a la misoginia, y desde otro punto es una vista a la lucha contra la drogadicción, la estabilidad familiar, los sueños artísticos y la enfermedad. Es una mezcla de subtema bien trabajados y expuestos con un ojo calculador, por eso corazones malheridos me parece un título sumamente acertado, porque abarca todo lo que se espera y mucho más.

This film is not only romance and drama, it is a critique of the system, of society, of the media, it is also a cry to social acceptance, to misogyny, and from another point of view it is a look at the struggle against drug addiction, family stability, artistic dreams and illness. It is a mixture of sub-themes well worked and exposed with a calculating eye, that's why hearts badly wounded seems to me an extremely accurate title, because it covers everything you expect and much more.

La verdad no me esperaba una producción tan bien hecha, sobre todo por la trama, me dió una impresión de película de Disney promedio, pero considero que es un trabajo inesperado y atractivo. Este estreno es para todo público, después de los 12 ya debemos aprender a tener compresión sobre los diversos temas que rigen el mundo, ya no hay cápsulas, es hora de darle voz a lo importante.

The truth is that I didn't expect such a well done production, especially because of the plot, it gave me an impression of an average Disney movie, but I consider it an unexpected and attractive work. This premiere is for all audiences, after the age of 12 we must learn to have understanding about the various issues that govern the world, there are no more capsules, it's time to give voice to what is important.

Uno de los datos curiosos es que la producción de la película estuvo bajo el mando de la misma Sofía Carson y su madre, quizás por eso se nota lo bien cuidado de los detalles sobre temas controversiales que hacen mucho ruido en la sociedad, como el feminismo, pero en sí la película tiene un gran abanico de temas que se mezclan con eficacia en la trama central. Una producción de romance adulto y drama que cubre la historia de dos personas en la búsqueda de sobrevivir al destino y los errores del pasado.

Obviamente no son temas nuevos, pero en la gran mayoría de las producciones se tocan quizás dos o tres de ellos, pero aquí se abarcan todos, no de manera profunda pero sí tienen la suficiente importancia como para resaltar en la película. Estos armonizan las escenas, los hechos, llevan la atención del espectador durante toda la película generando emociones y lazos sentimentales con los personajes y sus vivencias.

Existe un buen trabajo desde el planteamiento, el climax y el desenlace de la película, todos generan emociones y suspenso con la necesidad de saber que camino escogerán los personajes, es en este punto de me gustaría hablar de ellos.

La película nos presenta a una protagonista con una personalidad radical, efusiva, terca y voluble de temperamento que fue criada con la imagen principal de una madre que le enseña que todo debe ganarselo y sin una figura paterna, ocasionando en ella una perspectiva de que lo más importante en la vida es ser independiente, sobre todo del género masculino. Por otro lado tenemos al hombre de comportamiento viril predominante pero que por dentro quiere lo que creció viendo en casa: un matrimonio lleno de amor; sin embargo el personaje masculino es creado bajo la perdida familiar, con un tipo de crianza militar exigente que genera un descontrol en sus acciones y decisiones ocasionando su encuentro con el mundo de las drogas y las mentiras. La colisión de ambos es un caos desde el inicio, el choque cultural, la formación tanto educativa en casa como estudiantil y los sueños tan diferentes hacen parecer que una relación entre ambos no tiene sentido.

The film introduces us to a protagonist with a radical personality, effusive, stubborn and fickle in temperament who was raised with the main image of a mother who teaches her that everything must be earned and without a father figure, causing in her a perspective that the most important thing in life is to be independent, especially from the male gender. On the other hand we have the man of predominant virile behavior but who inside wants what he grew up seeing at home: a marriage full of love; however the male character is created under the family loss, with a type of demanding military upbringing that generates a lack of control in his actions and decisions causing his encounter with the world of drugs and lies. The collision of the two is a chaos from the beginning, the cultural clash, the educational formation at home and at school and the very different dreams make it seem that a relationship between the two makes no sense.

Gracias a cómo fluyen los hechos el crecimiento de comprensión y sentimientos aflora en ambos de una manera interesante. Cada personaje tiene un razón de ser, de accionar, tiene un pasado que le da voz a sus pensamientos, y unas metas que dirigen sus pasos, la construcción narrativa de ambos está muy bien establecida lo que ocasiona que podamos ver un desarrollo constante de ambos. Y el resto de los personajes secundarios se apoya bien en esto.

Thanks to the way the events flow, the growth of understanding and feelings emerge in both of them in an interesting way. Each character has a reason to be, to act, has a past that gives voice to their thoughts, and goals that direct their steps, the narrative construction of both is very well established which causes that we can see a constant development of both. And the rest of the secondary characters are well supported by this.

Por la parte actoral hubieron momentos en los que no estuve contenta con ello, los gestos diferían con lo que debería expresar el personaje, sin embargo, fueron muy pequeños, en sí la interpretación de ambos actores principales hizo de los personajes algo auténtico, creíble y especial.

On the acting side there were moments when I was not happy with it, the gestures differed with what the character should express, however, they were very small, in itself the interpretation of both main actors made the characters something authentic, believable and special.

Dirección y ambientación

La dirección de la película tiene un toque característico, me recuerda ciertas entregas como "querido John", considero un trabajo eficiente en comparación con las últimas apuestas de Netflix, y quizás a eso se deba su gran auge en la plataforma, no tiene una premisa igual a las anteriores, aunque tenga temas trillados.

También debo acotar que hay algunas que otras situaciones incoherentes, que pueden parecer fallas en el argumento de la historia, cómo por ejemplo una escena pasional casi a mitad de película que luego es simplemente olvidada, y es de notarse la tensión sexual que desprenden los personajes desde el inicio, pero incluir la escena sin que tuviera relevancia luego, me pareció confuso, menos cuando a la mañana siguiente el protagonista se va a Irak por un montón de meses, pero supongo que es parte también de calentar las aguas sin dejarlas hervir. Otra de las cosas que me parecieron curiosas fuera las constantes peleas entre los principales al regreso inesperado del protagonista de la guerra, cuando se había hecho un trabajo de comprensión y entendimiento entre ambos por sus situaciones, parece una falla de dirección o en el libreto, aún así puedo salvar las escenas por los temperamentos tan susceptibles de los personajes.

Por parte de la ambientación esta es más pequeña y reducida, nos muestran ciertos lugares pequeños y especiales que dónde surge casi toda la trama, cómo el bar donde toca la protagonista y su departamento, pero también dejan escenarios más grandes que ayudan al contexto de la historia como la base militar y los grandes conciertos, todo un trabajo llamativo y agradable. Además, la película también presenta un trabajo artístico totalmente original desde la composición y la música que se le debe agradecer otra vez a Sofía Carson, quien es la protagonista tanto delante como detrás del telón, y una mención especial al trabajo fotográfico que aunque no es del otro mundo, si es diferente y da vida a ciertos momentos de la película.

Todo, tanto la música como los escenarios influyen de buena manera en la trama y crean un vínculo con el espectador.

Valoración

❝Esperar no es difícil, convivir sí lo es.❞

Esa es la frase que se me viene a la cabeza luego del final de la película, es la del momento, la que está moviendo masas en la población sentimental y los románticos empedernidos, pero luego de analizar su final, en una posible secuela esa relación no tendría futuro, lo cual es el mayor miedo de la protagonista y por lo que el matrimonio es una decisión tan delicada. La fama podría ser el catalizador de un desastroso final real de esa relación creada de a trozos, hay huecos, cómo en todas las historias, pero la historia es salvable hasta que sobrepiensas en el resultado a largo plazo, pero el punto aquí es no dejar de creer en el amor.

❝Waiting is not difficult, living together is.❞

That is the phrase that comes to mind after the end of the film, it is the one of the moment, the one that is moving masses in the sentimental population and the hardcore romantics, but after analyzing its ending, in a possible sequel that relationship would have no future, which is the main character's biggest fear and why marriage is such a delicate decision. Puede que sea una producción previsible en cuanto al argumento, pero no es aburrida, las ideas de cómo hacerla más interesante fueron fluyendo de manera amena, y los personajes aunque son testarudos logran empatizar. Disfruté la película, no es para todo público porque podría llegar a ser un poco más de lo mismo, sin embargo, un domingo por la tarde no viene mal, aún así la historia deja ciertas enseñanzas que permiten influir en la razón de ser y comportarse de los más jóvenes, así que si tienes menos de 20 esta película podría ser algo bueno para ti.

It may be a predictable production in terms of plot, but it is not boring, the ideas of how to make it more interesting were flowing in an enjoyable way, and the characters although they are stubborn manage to empathize. I enjoyed the movie, it is not for all audiences because it could become a little more of the same, however, a Sunday afternoon does not come bad, still the story leaves certain teachings that allow to influence the reason to be and behave of the younger ones, so if you are under 20 this movie could be a good thing for you.
