Synopsis:
A devastating day pushes a single, working mother to her limit, pushing her to commit a shocking act of desperation.
Review:
I've always been more of a movie watcher than a TV show, more of a moviegoer, more of a fan of the story and experiencing its emotions, and that's precisely why horror movies aren't my favorite, and dramas always bring a tear to my eye, and "Fed Up" was no exception. It's incredible how everything can be so unfair and inhumane, and how there are days when we simply break down. Because everything comes together, because 10 different things happen to you in a day, which maybe separately aren't that much, but together they're an explosion of emotions that not all of us know how to handle.
I lived every second of this movie, and I understood it perfectly, putting myself in her shoes and realizing that we can surpass our limits in a matter of seconds.
I've always admired Taraji P. Henson, and this time she made me love her. I can't speak for anyone else. Only for myself, and I consider it a movie you should see. Because on more than one occasion, you have to put yourself in someone else's shoes and think about how I would feel if it were happening to me.
I don't like to give spoilers, so I don't talk much about the actions during the film and more about how it made me feel. But this is the story of a low-income working mother who is simply fed up with her life and such an unfair system, when she only wants the best for her sick daughter.
Although the ending was unexpected, because normally you can see what's going to happen in the end, but in this case I had no idea it was like that, it took me by surprise, and I realized that more than fed up, I was broken, very broken, in that way that makes it very difficult to rebuild.

Wow, with that "a movie that hurts" bit, you've already prepared me for what's coming. I haven't seen it, but your review has really left me curious. What you said about how a bad day can take you to the limit is so true... we've all been there, where everything just comes together and we feel like we're about to explode. Thanks for the recommendation.
