This recent Superman movie of 2025 that is out I must say is far beyond what I expected. Right from the beginning, getting till the end. I wasn't excited with what I was watching. I was disappointed with the movie.

First thing I want to point out is, the actor David Corenswet, who acted as superman didn't bring to life the character that well. For me, I think his acting skills needs a little bit more improvement. I I were to compare his acting to the other Superman movies that has been released over the years, it was very poor. really downgraded the character of superman, making him look rather weak and incompetent. Speaking from my heart, it wasn't what I expected.

I also think that, some of the scenes in the movies needed to be worked on more. Everything felt rushed. And the romantic scenes between Superman and Louis weren't romantic at all. I couldn't feel any connection or chemistry between these two actors. They definitely did not nail that part well enough

The only part of this movie I found satisfactory enough was the revelation at the end of how Lex had managed to make an exact clone of Superman using his DNA to create someone that could control and use it to defeat him. Honestly. The only actor that actually pulled off their role well was Nicholas Hoult. He did a splendid job acting as Lex Luthor.

The other characters in this movie were poorly developed and so lame. Especially the so-called justice society or whatever. Though I would admit it was admirable how his other hero friends came to his rescue, but, it felt like I was watching a cartoon instead of a movie with the way the other heroes portrayed their part in the movie. I was just trying to see if any new thing or turn of events or twist of any kind was going to come out of the movie to make it a bit interesting. However, I found it all boring. It was not the kind of movie that will keep you so fixed on the screen. I took about one week to finish this movie. It definitely did not meet my expectations.

One scene I found almost unbelievable was how Lex Luthor and his minions easily had access to his fortress and destroyed everything in it. The ideal superman we all know is smarter than that and would have smelt it coming before they could have a chance to gain access to whatever information is in the fortress. I particularly did not like how stupid and weak they made superman seem in this movie.

Right from the plot line of this movie to the character development to everything else in between, they really could have done much better. I also felt like it was too fast paced and some scenes were not properly built well. The acting also felt so unreal to me. There were no natural elements added to it to make it a bit believable.

To conclude it all, David Corenswet did not meet my expectations of superman in this movie. Rating this movie, would be a 2/10. Thank you
