Oh WoW! that sums up the season finale of Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power with an absolutely magnificent tie into all the loose ends and providing significant back stories of our leading characters.

One of the things that made it hard to follow and kept everyone guessing is the fact that the show didn't follow the books in relation to who Sauron was. No doubt the producers altered the story ever so slightly in order to keep audiences guessing and provide some suspense.

The introduction of Halbrand didn't make much sense to the storyline as this was a completely made up addition for the show but at this stage if you were an avid Lord of the Rings reader you would have realised that much of the show didn't already follow the plot.

It commences with Galadriel whom for season one serves as the main antagonist in the film and is covered throughout the show and in her story it shows her chasing down Morgoth whom in the books her story does not align as she didn't join the war.

There is some truth in which she refused to return to Valinor but she chose to remain on middle earth albeit previously she has tried to sail to middle earth.

In the series though the story is rewritten to have her jump from a boat heading into Valinor to swim back to middle-earth where she finds a group of people and Halbrand is introduced. The intresting aspect of this scenario is that the sea monster just disappears once the others are eaten and only Galadriel is left alive.

Given the entire story line left everyone thinking WTF is this now with the drop that Halbrand is Sauron it makes sense why the creature left. Sauron could have been hunting Galadriel and having seen her changed his mind and become smitten as he does offer her a place by his side.

it then does put their little tiff in the Hobbit into perspective although there is no mention of their past almost love for each other as Galadriel does in the Rings of Power seem like she is contemplating joining Sauron.

Now while this is all occuring a new character is introduced at the start that falls from the sky and we are left guessing on who he is despite original book readers picking Suramon as he appeared first amongst all the Wizards but many also picking Gandalf the Grey as it depicts him with some what early iterations of Hobbits.

But at the commencement of the season Finale the mystics arrive and refer to him as Sauron which is plausible at that time although once Halbrand is unmasked as Sauron the story line begins to make a slight return as prior to his unmasking Galadriel becomes weary of him and his deception.

All this while the rings are being constructed as that is a major plot to the story as Sauron makes the rings so we quickly need to have his true identity revealed.

Although the stranger hasn't officially been announced we can guess that it is Gandalf with a phrase used "when in doubt follow your nose" which is a line Gandalf states in the earlier films.

Overall the series is amazing the only down fall is that we will have to wait until 2023 for season 2!

Thank you friend, you have presented very well.

Felt like the show had a rough start but did start making great strides toward improving the slow pace and lack of decent action. My favorite was the Udun episode with Mount Doom, thought that cleverly done. I was a little suspicious of the Halbrand character. His name was basically "hell" and "brand" put together, so it made me wonder. Very interested to see what they do with season 2 though.
