Ok ok peeps strap yourself in because mumma and papa bear finally went to the cinemas first time in 3 years since COVID hit and I almost forget what it was like to watch a movie with 0 interruptions and no "dad get me this, dad get me that" every two minutes.

For our selection we went along to watch The Batman now don't get me wrong I originally had no intentions of watching this film due to Ben Afflick ruining Batman. I also have no idea how this will fit into the broader DC universe.

We now have 3 Batmans running around town but hey Spiderman pulled it all together why can't Batman!

Without giving away to much or a spoiler I'll try talk to the film itself rather than plots and let's be honest we all already know most the characters and plots of Batman but this one did things a little differently.

The current Batman's go all out with tech and CGI full super hero kinda stuff to an unbelievable extent, but this one focused less on gadgets, gizmo's and a muscled super human and went for a more bullet proof vest, skinny and extremely smart Batman.

The whole things gone back to bear bones and more of a mental challenge rather than wow look at that! It fits perfectly along side the recent Joker origins story.

It follows the same dark, hopelessness and anarchist world that Gotham and its characters live in with Tiny glimpses of hope. This Batman is still known as a vigilante but is still no guns. Just like the joker the Batman inspires and entire city, just not as how he intended.

There were some elements that I am not sure of as when we meet Batman he has already been Batman and is 2 years into the "Gotham project" trying to rid the world of corruption and bad people.

We're not introduced to any flash gizmo's or flying bat planes or anything and most the film is done on the back of a motorbike. Not even anything special. Although I'm not sure how no one notices that Bruce Wayne and Batman aren't using the same bike!

In this Batman we don't get much of a peak into Bruce Wayne's wealth or company it is only briefly mentioned and I'd say that it's a story the audience doesn't need to hear again. There aren't lavish parties or portrayals of duel lives.

It solely focuses on Batman being a detective and with no real high tech gadgets.

I think the film is a masterpiece and provides something new to the franchise and continues on the same narrative and builds on The Joker. Which we get to see at the end, is it the same Joker? I hope so. But I guess we will have to wait and find out.

Sounds like a movie worth watching.
Some of the latest superhero movies can be hit or miss with all of the cgi and no plot but this sounds like a pivot back to the storyline.
I'll watch put for it on the dodgy box and give it a go soon.

This has gone right back to basics which was impressive. Looks like DC is starting to really lift their game when it comes to comic book hero's. It was amazing
