Thor: Love and Thunder is this the end of Marvel and a peak for DC?

Alright Ladies and Gents our favorite Aussie actor returns as Thor for another rendition breaking the 3 film trilogy set out by previous Marvel movies and continuing everyones favorite arch.

One of the only reasons I believe Thor has been able to carry on is due to the new director Taika Waititi which has done a really stellar job on Thor: Ragnarök providing a new twist which has been adopted to Thor: Love and Thunder.

Lets face it, it is in need of a change because Thor is the God of Thunder and his character arch has turned him into one of if not the strongest MCU gods. If any of his previous battles were to occur at his level now, they would be over in a matter of seconds.

There's no real story line in him anymore even the God Slayer couldn't stop him although they had to nurf him a bit in the fact that he didn't use his powers. I am still not sure why he didn't strike him with thunder on his home planet as Storm breaker is not his power.

Speaking of which storm breaker is one of the most powerful weapons in the MCU far superior to the infinity stones but unlike the comics anyone can wield it in the screen adaption. I guess that change needed to be made in order to create the film as it was the key.

The adaption of Jane Foster's Mighty Thor was pretty impressive too although failed to hit the mark in some aspects and I expected quite a bit more from the directors.

Her story arch was relatively short and I feel as if there was an entire film series there to explore or at least a Netflix or Disney streaming option. Instead she was born and dead in a matter of minutes also encompassing her arch as Valkyrie when she road in on a peguses.

I understand why they are doing it though as the MCU is huge spanning over decades with thousands of books. To try and bring all the characters alive and have them have their own films would be costly and you would never be able to watch them all.

I always think with these films what future generations will think because there are already so many and to watch them from start to finish is almost quite the feat within itself.

Instead we're seeing a fold over of multiple characters into one like Love who looked to have the appearance of Eternity so it is unsure if they have rolled Eternity into the franchise now.

But one thing we do know is that Hercules and Thor will be going head to head in another film to be released so that is exciting news to know that Thor will once again return. But I think this is the phasing out of Marvel.

It is hard to go past that DC lost the entry to Marvel but Marvel seems to be falling behind a bit having to grasp onto a few of its leading characters to regain some steam. Eternals was absolutely shocking and it was Phase 2 which saw Marvel quickly focus in on Dr Strange and as we are seeing Thor which are two of it's popular characters.

But that may start to become unraveled once Black Adam hits our screens although DC hasn't been the greatest at story lines so there is still a chance that Black Adam could be a dud.

However, DC aren't playing around with this one as the recreate the famous Tony Stark first flight as Iron man when he is approached by two jets accidently destroying one and saving the pilots.

In this recreation of the scene DC sends a message to Marvel that it ain't playing by having Black Adam destroy a plane and not care.

So the gloves are off and despite all the Rock Hype I really am excited to see this film and can not wait.

What are your thoughts? is this a DC take over? lets not forget Guardians of the Galaxy have one more run which I can not wait for either.

They won’t make good movies until fans stop supporting the blah stuff.

I'm interested in seeing how Black Adam turns out. The Ezra Miller fiasco definitely hurt Warner Brothers so there's that issue to deal with. WB definitely smacked Ezra down as he finally released an apology statement in order to save his own career.

And then there's Bat Girl. Wow. WB scrapped the $90-million movie because it was crap. The new CEO isn't playing around so I wonder if it will reflect in the new Rock movie.

Yup, I think we're about to see DC dominate the next 10 years of comic book films. I Can't imagine the rock putting his name to a crap movie so I'm excited about it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the Rock. Hopefully, it's a good one. I can't wait to see it.

Misleading title, marvel has many more billions to earn. Wolverine hasn't been introduced as will pull in many more billions on his own. Thats why I own the key issue of his first appearance.

They are bleeding subscribers. They will ruin ur favs and just pies off fans: It peaked at Infinity War and is now running on its past glory: the tv shows are so cringe. RIP Marvel comics thanks to Disney

DC blew it. Not continuing the best Superman we’ve had because of political reasons is just moronic. I think it’s 2 little 2 late and a full reboot will be done in a few years.
Marvel peaked and the Disney shows are getting more and more corny. The worst part is writers don’t communicate and we have like 4 different reasons for the multiverse stuff happening. It’s so bad I just don’t support Disney anymore. They killed the actual comic book industry. It’s dead sales wise:
