Wagwan guys. Good morning and welcome to another exciting week on cineTV and to my blog too. Thank you @CineTV for this week's prompts.

It has been all about our mothers this week and trust me guys, these humans are worth celebrating. Seeing the prompt for the week, the very first movie that came to mind was a Netflix movie "The Mother" just got to know it was released in 2023 but i got to see it February 2025.

The movie "The Mother" is really an exceptional movie showing the length a mother can go for one that she birthed. With top cast :

• Jennifer Lopez as The Mother.
• Omar Hardwick
• Lucy Paez
• Joseph Fiennes

The plot is about a woman, unnamed and a former assassin and also she was a U.S. military operative. She was like the middle man that negotiated a deal between ex-SAS Captain Adrian Lovell and arms dealer Hector Álvarez.

She didn't only negotiate deals with these two, she also had something to do with them romantically and finds out she's pregnant. Everything goes on well but she's suspicious of something else and her suspicions were right, Adrian and Hector are not only involved with arms but they are also involved in trafficking and The Mother can't deal with it so she decides to approach the FBI with the information.

While she is being interrogated at a safe house, they are attacked and the attack causes the birth of her daughter, Zoe prematurely and she's asked to give up her parental rights to protect the child and also go into hiding to protect her.
What makes her come out of hiding is the kidnap of her daughter zoe from her foster mother at the park.

What I love about the movie is the passion and love The Mother has for her daughter Zoe. Her eagerness to fight for the life of her daughter. It got me glued to the screen all time. The movie was so relatable because it is what happens here in our physical world. I dont think there's really anything I hated about the movie except the part where FBI agent Cruise is killed.

The movie showed me how great mother's love can be. The part i found interesting was the part where she took her daughter back to her cabin in Alaska and trained her. And even the mother's love was shown in how the wolf cared for her kids in the woods. I love the part where she annoyed her mom at first but they got along together soon and practiced on how to keep the enemy or deal with the enemy.

The scene that lives rent-free in my head is where Zoe saves her mother from Lovell. Her trainings were not in vain, she didn't only help her mother but brought peace and freedom to her mother's life.

The performance that left an impression will be when The Mother killed one of Lovell's men and tricks them. That was so swift and fast because they had surrounded everywhere but she played that smart move and was ahead of them even when she was discovered early.

Though there's a lot of comment that the movie is predictable I still think its great because it's shows a great lessons, the depth of parental love, how it knows no bounds at all. And i saw forgiveness there too and how much efgort The Mother put into making amends for the mistakes she made in the past.

Wagwan chicos. Buenos días y bienvenidos a otra semana emocionante en cineTV y también a mi blog. Gracias a @CineTV por los temas de esta semana.

Esta semana todo ha girado en torno a nuestras madres, y os aseguro que merece la pena celebrar a estos seres humanos. Al ver el tema de la semana, la primera película que me vino a la mente fue una película de Netflix «La Madre» que se estrenó en 2023, pero yo la vi en febrero de 2025.

La película «La madre» es realmente excepcional y muestra hasta dónde puede llegar una madre por el hijo que ha dado a luz. Con un reparto de lujo:

• Jennifer Lopez como La Madre.
• Omar Hardwick
• Lucy Paez
• Joseph Fiennes

La trama gira en torno a una mujer, sin nombre, que fue asesina y agente militar estadounidense. Era como el intermediario que negociaba un trato entre el ex capitán del SAS Adrian Lovell y el traficante de armas Hector Álvarez.

No sólo negoció tratos con estos dos, sino que también tuvo algo que ver con ellos románticamente y descubre que está embarazada. Todo va bien pero ella sospecha de algo más y sus sospechas eran ciertas, Adrián y Héctor no sólo están involucrados con armas sino que también están involucrados en el tráfico de personas y La Madre no puede lidiar con eso así que decide acercarse al FBI con la información.

Mientras la interrogan en un piso franco, son atacados y el ataque provoca el nacimiento prematuro de su hija Zoe, por lo que le piden que renuncie a sus derechos de paternidad para proteger a la niña y que se esconda para proteger a su madre.

Lo que más me gusta de la película es la pasión y el amor que siente la madre por su hija Zoe. Su afán por luchar por la vida de su hija. Me mantuvo pegada a la pantalla todo el tiempo. La película es muy cercana porque es lo que ocurre en nuestro mundo físico. No creo que haya nada que odiara de la película, excepto la parte en la que matan al agente del FBI Cruise.

La película me mostró lo grande que puede ser el amor de una madre. La parte que me pareció interesante fue la parte en la que se lleva a su hija a su cabaña en Alaska y la entrena. E incluso el amor de madre se mostraba en como la loba cuidaba de sus hijos en el bosque. Me encanta la parte en la que molestaba a su madre al principio pero pronto se llevaron bien y practicaron sobre como mantener al enemigo o tratar con el enemigo.

La escena que vive libre de rentas en mi cabeza es en la que Zoe salva a su madre de Lovell. Sus entrenamientos no fueron en vano, no sólo ayudó a su madre sino que trajo paz y libertad a la vida de su madre.

La actuación que dejó huella será cuando La Madre mata a uno de los hombres de Lovell y los engaña. Eso fue tan rápido y veloz porque habían rodeado por todas partes pero ella hizo esa jugada inteligente y se les adelantó incluso cuando fue descubierta antes de tiempo.

Aunque hay muchos comentarios de que la película es predecible, sigo pensando que es genial porque muestra una gran lección, la profundidad del amor paternal, cómo no conoce límites en absoluto. Y también veo el perdón y cuánto esfuerzo pone la madre en enmendar los errores que cometió en el pasado.
