Movie Review|| Fishbowl Wives
Do you believe in soulmates? I mean the kind that was perfectly made for each other, flaws and all from heaven?
And do you also believe that you can marry someone who's not your soulmate, but just fills in the gap? and when you find your true soulmate, your soul becomes restless and just wants them even tho you're married?
My younger sister is crazily in love with books and she reads a lot of novels lol,Guess who has to listen to her talk about it? Me!!! I had about 2hrs till my monthly sub expired and where I was, I had a stable network (network is terrible, so most times, my data always expires lol)
I just had no choice than to use the remaining data to download movies. While scrolling, I saw the movie fishbowl wives and instantly I remembered my sis talking about the book and how interesting it was. I didn't even hesitate and just downloaded the full season.
Fast forward to some days later, my roommate collected the movie and was all cursive and that the sex scenes were just too much and it's a rubbish movie. Mind you, she watched a full season in less than 2hrs. After her review, I felt reluctant to watch the movie,but later did.
Hmm don't judge a book by its cover you know and remember, my review about a movie is just my opinion. Everyone has different tastes so just because someone says it's trash doesn't mean it is.
Fishbowl wives is a movie about marriage, soulmates, love, regret , in a nutshell, the movie is real.

Just by the name of the movie, one would think it's about goldfish and women fighting against their husbands lol
Fishbowl Wives is a series about Sakura Hiraga, a successful businesswoman, her relationship with a goldfish seller, and her husband.
Sakura and her husband run an Elite saloon and somehow along the line, Sakura had an injury on her hand and was unable to cut hair again. People loved Sakura so she was just the face behind the work, but her husband would maltreat her, beat her, and also have an affair with another lady in the same high rise apartment
One rainy night, he did the same and she ran out and met the goldfish seller who accommodated her and that was how her new love affair started.
The movie not only talks about Sakura, but also the stories of five other women living in the same building (High Rise Apartments for the elite)and their affairs outside their marriage.
I find their stories very intriguing. One thing I really love about this movie is that every character was important, like you want to know what's going on in everyone's life and they gave us a clear view. They gave the other women's story the spotlight to shine just as they did with Sakura.
One thing I didn't like about the movie was that they justified the fact that it's okay to have an affair as long as you're not happy in your marriage. That didn't sit right with me.
And another thing I hated was the fact that Sakura didn't fight to get any of the properties, like you built this with your husband so you have every right to at least half of it. You can't divorce me and take everything expecting me to start from scratch. I also think the sex scenes were too intense, like the movie doesn't really need All that lol.
All in all, I would rate this movie a solid 7/10.
Oh, the ending would make you want to see the director and give him a fresh knock on his head 😩
