[ESP/ENG] Air: Courting a Legend (2023) - Review: “una historia que merece ser contada!”
Hola hive, hoy les quiero hablar sobre una película que desde que oí si premisa me llamo la atención y supe que sin duda la tenía que ver, tristemente no la pude ver en el cine, pero como dicen por ahí, mejor tarde que nunca! Así que por eso es que por fin les quiero venir hablar sobre Air
Air: Courting a Legend o simplemente Air es una película estadounidense lanzada en el 2023, dirigida por Ben Affleck y protagonizada por Matt Damon y el mismo Affleck. Esta película tiene una base biográfica cargada de un drama deportivo de como hizo la marca Nike para lograr firmar con Michael Jordan y todos los obstáculos que la empresa tuvo que atravesar, además de las consecuencias que tuvo esta negociación en posteriores contratos. Suena interesante no? Sin mas que decir… comencemos!.
Cabe destacar que siempre he sido fan del mundo de los sneakers asi Que solo con saber la premisa de esta película ya es suficiente para saber que me iba a llamar la atención, así que realmente tenía unas expectativas altas porque aunque ya conocía más o menos la historia, si quería ver como Air plasmaba esto, pero…. Lo hizo de una buena forma?
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto de la película y en este caso sin duda es la forma de plasmar esta gran historia, porque aunque es bastante interesante si considero que es muy complicada hacer una película que logre engancharnos y que tenga como base esta premisa, sin embargo decidieron arriesgar y sin duda les salió excelente porque ese toque de humor que acompaña a la historia principal la hace muy digerible y divertida para cualquiera de nosotros.
Las actuaciones sin duda son un gran punto positivo, estoy claro que no podríamos esperar menos de tremendos actores y es que para muchos la participación de Matt Damon y Ben Affleck pudo ser el principal foco para echarle un vistazo a esta película, pero ambos actores no decepcionan en ningún momento, no solo hacen un trabajo grandioso individualmente sino que ademas como dupla son geniales.
En cuanto a la dirección admito que Air tiene una personalidad y estética bastante definida, eso me gusta, ademas en ningún momento se siente como si fuese un documental, al final de todo es una película que aunque tiene un gran porcentaje de biográfica es envuelta en una vibra cómica que le da bastante identidad, también la película cuenta con escenas y planes interesantes que le dan un toque más dinámico a la película.
Al fundamental para este tipo de películas es el ritmo de la historia y el tiempo de duración, y es que por muy interesante que sea una película con esta premisa y una duración de 3 horas no es lo más entretenido que digamos, sin embargo siento que Air logra explicar y sintetizar cada suceso de una forma cool haciendo que la película se sienta realmente corta pero sin dejar de lado ningún aspecto fundamental para logran captar la importancia de los hechos, esto aunque suena como algo menos siento que es clave para que esta película funcione.
En lo personal estás películas biográficas me logran sorprender cuando conocemos la historia y aún así nos mantiene enganchados disfrutando, y es que al contrario de muchas películas cuando vemos Air no estamos esperando el final, porque la mayoría de nosotros sabe como acaba esa historia, pero lo que realmente queremos ver y vivir es la emoción y las dificultades que tuve dicho proceso, haciendo que aunque el final ya lo sepamos de igual forma sea satisfactorio.
En conclusión me parece una gran película y es que como ya dije todo esto es un mundo que me apasiona bastante y ver lo grande e influyente que Nike en la actualidad y como ese contrato en particular hizo despegar a dicha empresa es simplemente hermoso, totalmente recomendada, no decepciona!

Hi hive, today I want to talk about a movie that since I heard its premise caught my attention and I knew I had to see it, sadly I couldn't see it in the theater, but as they say, better late than never! So that's why I finally want to come and talk to you about Air.
Air: Courting a Legend or simply Air is an American movie released in 2023, directed by Ben Affleck and starring Matt Damon and Affleck himself. This movie has a biographical basis loaded with a sports drama of how the Nike brand managed to sign Michael Jordan and all the obstacles the company had to go through, as well as the consequences that this negotiation had on subsequent contracts. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Without more to say... let's start!
It should be noted that I have always been a fan of the sneakers world so just knowing the premise of this movie is enough to know that it was going to catch my attention, so I really had high expectations because although I already knew more or less the story, I really wanted to see how Air did this, but ..... Did he do it in a good way?
First I always like to start talking about what I love most about the film and in this case it is certainly the way of capturing this great story, because although it is quite interesting if I consider that it is very complicated to make a movie that manages to hook us and that has as a basis this premise, however they decided to risk and certainly came out excellent because that touch of humor that accompanies the main story makes it very digestible and fun for any of us.
The performances are undoubtedly a great positive point, I am clear that we could not expect less from tremendous actors and for many the participation of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck could be the main focus to take a look at this film, but both actors do not disappoint at any time, not only do a great job individually but also as a duo they are great.
As for the direction I admit that Air has a well defined personality and aesthetics, I like that, also at no time does it feel like a documentary, at the end of all it is a film that although it has a large percentage of biographical is wrapped in a comic vibe that gives it quite identity, also the film has interesting scenes and plans that give a more dynamic touch to the film.
Fundamental to this type of film is the pace of the story and the length of the film, and as interesting as a film with this premise and a duration of 3 hours is not the most entertaining thing to say, however I feel that Air manages to explain and synthesize each event in a cool way making the film feel really short but without leaving out any fundamental aspect to capture the importance of the facts, this although it sounds like something less I feel it is key for this film to work.
Personally these biographical films manage to surprise me when we know the story and still keeps us hooked enjoying, and is that unlike many movies when we see Air we are not waiting for the end, because most of us know how that story ends, but what we really want to see and live is the excitement and the difficulties that I had that process, making that although the end we already know it is equally satisfying.
In conclusion I think it's a great movie and as I said all this is a world that I am very passionate about and see how big and influential Nike is nowadays and how that particular contract made the company take off is just beautiful, totally recommended, it does not disappoint!

Es una película bastante sólida, para los amantes de los sneakers puede ser un poco más especial, pero esto no quita que este muy bien ejecutado, aprecio especialmente la forma en la que se abordó la figura de Jordan sin hacer que le quitara el protagonismo a los creativos de Nike que realmente estuvieron detrás del proceso.
