[ESP/ENG] Palm Springs (2020) - Review: “Una Comedia-Romántica un poco fuera de lo común”
Hola hive, hoy les quiero hablar sobre una película bastante curiosa que vi hace unos días y aunque ya había oído varias recomendaciones de esta película aún no me había detenido a verla, sin embargo en estos días por fin tomé la decisión de echarle un vistazo así que por eso les quiero hablar de Palm Springs
Palm Springs es una película de comedia y romance lanzada en el 2020, dirigida por Max Barbakow y protagonizada por Andy Samberg, y Cristin Milioti, esta película nos muestra a dos personas que quedan atrapados en un bucle temporal, al principio se lo toman con humor, pero con el transcurso del tiempo la monotonía empieza a afectar, haciendo que eventualmente busquen una salida. Ya habiendo dado un poco de contexto ahora si comencemos!
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto de la película y en este caso sin duda es la premisa en sí y como esta se presta perfectamente para el objetivo principal de la película que es el Humor y es que obviamente no es una premisa demasiado compleja ni nada por el estilo, pero la forma en que lo lleva cada uno de los personajes es lo que hace que sea interesante y cómico a la vez.
Otro de los aspectos que me gustó mucho fueron las actuaciones y es que en este tipo de películas las actuaciones son fundamentales para que la película se haga mucho más dinámica y realmente no esperaba menos de Andy Samberg y Cristin Milioti, y eso sin contar la participación de otros grandes actores como J. K Simmons, realmente el cast me gusto bastante y hace que esta película sea mucho más especial.
Para los que me conocen o han leído algunas de mis publicaciones sabrán que uno de mis géneros favoritos de películas es “comedia” y es que la comedia nos regala situaciones o personajes absurdos que hacen que este género sea distinto, en este caso en particular me parece genial que la película esta cargado de momentos irónicos y surreales, además de que la ciencia ficción juega un papel fundamental en el desarrollo de esta película, por lo que la mezcla de todos estos elementos dan como resultado esta joyita.
La película en ningún momento se hace pesada, aparte de que es relativamente corta ya que dura solo 90 min, la dinámica que hay entre los personajes y el buen ritmo que tiene la historia hace que nos mantengamos enganchados y disfrutando cada momento.
Otra cosa que me pareció genial fue el desenlace que le dieron a la historia y es que aunque es lo intuitivo y va por lo seguro, como ya hemos logrado empatizar con nuestros protagonistas, eso hace que el final sea satisfactorio para nosotros como espectadores, no siempre para que un final sea bueno tiene que ser sorprendente, muchas veces el camino intuitivo y “facil” es el correcto y el que mejor cierra (como es este el caso)
En conclusión me parece una muy gran película, además sería fácil una comfort movie, es de esas películas que se disfrutan de principio a fin, pero que tampoco necesitan el 100% de nuestra atención para que podamos entenderla, es una excelente película de fin de semana que podria ver para pasar un buen rato, totalmente recomendada, si te gustan las películas de comedia deberías echarle un vistazo porque estoy seguro que te puede gustar

Hi hive, today I want to talk about a rather curious movie that I saw a few days ago and although I had already heard several recommendations of this movie I had not yet stopped to watch it, however these days I finally decided to take a look at it so I want to talk about Palm Springs, this is a comedy and romance movie released in 2020, directed by Max Barbakow and starring Andy Samberg, and Cristin Milioti.
Palm Springs is a comedy-romance movie released in 2020, directed by Max Barbakow and starring Andy Samberg, and Cristin Milioti, this movie shows us two people who get caught in a time loop, at first they take it with humor, but as time goes by the monotony starts to affect, making them eventually look for a way out. Now having given a little context let's get started!
First I always like to start by talking about what I loved most about the film and in this case it is undoubtedly the premise itself and how it lends itself perfectly to the main objective of the film which is Humor and it is obviously not a very complex premise or anything like that, but the way each of the characters handles it is what makes it interesting and comical at the same time.
Another aspect that I liked a lot were the performances and in this kind of movies the performances are fundamental to make the movie much more dynamic and I really didn't expect less from Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, and that's not counting the participation of other great actors like J. K Simmons, I really liked the cast and it makes this movie much more special.
For those who know me or have read some of my publications will know that one of my favorite movie genres is "comedy" and is that comedy gives us absurd situations or characters that make this genre different, in this particular case I think it's great that the film is full of ironic and surreal moments, plus science fiction plays a key role in the development of this film, so the mixture of all these elements result in this gem.
The movie is not heavy at any time, apart from being relatively short as it lasts only 90 minutes, the dynamic between the characters and the good pace of the story makes us stay hooked and enjoying every moment.
Another thing that I thought was great was the outcome they gave to the story and although it is intuitive and goes for the safe, as we have already managed to empathize with our protagonists, that makes the end is satisfactory for us as viewers, not always for a good ending has to be surprising, often the intuitive and "easy" way is the right one and the one that best closes (as is the case here).
In conclusion I think it's a very great movie, it would also be easy a comfort movie, it's one of those movies that you enjoy from beginning to end, but it doesn't need 100% of our attention for us to understand it, it's an excellent weekend movie that you could watch to have a good time, totally recommended, if you like comedy movies you should take a look at it because I'm sure you might like it.

Es una de mis películas favoritas, no es muy usual ver esta mezcla de géneros (comedia, romance, ciencia ficción) pero en las manos correctas funciona muy bien.
