[ESP/ENG] The Purge (2013) - Review: “Una película entretenida pero con unas cuantas fallas”
Hola hive, hoy les vengo a hablar sobre un película que revisite hace unos y es que la vi hace bastante tiempo pero quise volverla a ver para determinar si es realmente como la recordaba, por lo que conseguí puntos interesantes para mencionar y por eso es que hoy les quiero hablar de The Purge
The Purge es una película de acción y suspenso lanzada en el 2013, dirigida por James DeMonaco y protagonizada por Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Max Burkholder y Adelaide Kane. La película nos muestra una ciudad de Estados Unidos donde por una noche cualquier delito es completamente legal y utilizan esto para de cierta forma “purificar” la sociedad. Ya habiendo dado un poco de contexto ahora si comencemos!
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de la que más me encanto de la película y en este caso sin duda es la sinopsis y el concepto en sí de la película, creo que la mayoría de las personas que lean de que va esta película inicialmente va a llamar la atención, porque la idea de que por una noche cualquier delito sea legal nos da pie a crear una película en la que podamos ver es estado de locura en el que entrarían algunas personas.
El ritmo de la película me parece interesante porque no pierde tiempo en relleno ni nada por el estilo, más bien busca darnos solo un poco de contexto y lanzarnos de una vez al objetivo principal, entonces esto lo agradezco porque no intentan buscar profundidad donde no la hay y proceden de una a mostrarnos la acción que es lo que muchos probablemente buscan en este tipo de películas, así que por este lado muy bien.
Las actuaciones en momento me parecían buenas y en momentos un poco flojas, dependiendo de la escena siento que los actores podían a hacer un mejor trabajo, sin embargo en términos generales siento que es relativamente aceptable, a excepción de unas cuantas escenas.
Creo que uno de los problemas más grandes de la película es la falta de sentido común de la familia protagonista, obviamente sabemos que es necesario para que la trama fluya, pero es que es imposible no pensar de que cometen errores tontos y ni hablar de los niños, que lo único que hacen es hacer la situación cada vez más complicada. Entiendo que muchas de estos momentos se utilizan para darle forma a la historia, pero sinceramente siento que hay formas más inteligentes de hacerlo.
Disfrute la sensación de suspenso que crea esta historia, y aparte como The Purge dura solo hora y media, pues hace Que la película no se haga pesada, así que como en la mayoría de películas que adoptan el suspenso siento que fue una buena idea hacer que la película fuese relativamente corta.
En conclusión siento que es una película que puede llegar a ser bastante disfrutable, pero que cuando la vemos de una forma objetiva con un ojo un poco más crítico, nos damos cuenta que the purge tiene bastantes fallas y que aunque la base y premisa es muy buena, como tal el desarrollo a veces se siente vacío (en mi opinión), entonces también hay que estar claro que cuando veamos esta película no nos vamos a conseguir con una obra maestra, pero tal vez si con una película perfecta para pasar el aburrimiento.

Hi hive, today I'm here to talk about a movie I revisited a few years ago and I saw it quite a while ago but I wanted to watch it again to determine if it's really like I remembered it, so I got some interesting points to mention and that's why today I want to talk about The Purge.
The Purge is an action thriller movie released in 2013, directed by James DeMonaco and starring Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Max Burkholder and Adelaide Kane. The film shows us a city in the United States where for one night any crime is completely legal and they use this to somehow "purify" society. Having given a bit of context, let's get started!
First I always like to start talking about what I love the most about the film and in this case it is certainly the synopsis and the concept of the film itself, I think most people who read what this movie is about will initially call attention, because the idea that for one night any crime is legal gives us the opportunity to create a film in which we can see the state of madness in which some people would enter.
The pace of the film seems interesting to me because it doesn't waste time on filler or anything like that, rather it seeks to give us just a little context and launch us at once to the main objective, so I appreciate this because they don't try to look for depth where there is none and proceed to show us the action which is what many probably look for in this type of film, so on this side very well.
The performances seemed good at times and at times a little weak, depending on the scene I feel that the actors could do a better job, however in general terms I feel that it is relatively acceptable, except for a few scenes.
I think one of the biggest problems of the film is the lack of common sense of the main family, obviously we know that it is necessary for the plot to flow, but it is impossible not to think that they make silly mistakes and not to mention the children, which only make the situation more and more complicated. I understand that many of these moments are used to shape the story, but I honestly feel that there are smarter ways to do it.
I enjoyed the sense of suspense that this story creates, and since The Purge is only an hour and a half long, it doesn't make the movie heavy, so like most movies that embrace suspense I feel it was a good idea to keep the movie relatively short.
In conclusion I feel that it is a movie that can become quite enjoyable, but when we see it in an objective way with a little more critical eye, we realize that the purge has quite a few flaws and that although the base and premise is very good, as such the development sometimes feels empty (in my opinion), then we must also be clear that when we see this movie we will not get a masterpiece, but perhaps with a perfect movie to pass the boredom.

Yo la vi hace años, la he visto una sola vez, pero es de esas películas que se quedaran en tu memoria porque la verdad que el concepto es impactante. No recuerdo su final, lo que sí recuerdo es que busque su fundamento en la biblia y resulta que está inspirada en uno de los relatos de las escrituras, esto sí, me sorprendió.
No sé por qué fui a parar a la biblia, pero estoy segura de que su argumento está inspirado por ella.
Pues aunque la película me entretuvo siento que objetivamente tiene muchas fallas y por eso me cuesta decidir en si me gusto o no jejej.
Y la verdad me parece bastante interesante pensar que el argumento de esta película está inspirada en la biblia. No tenía idea de esto!

Si, en la biblia hay una historia o relato qué trata de un día de purga, yo lo leí y quede más sorprendida qué en la misma película.

It's interesting to think of it as a possible "happening" of the plot, although just as the movie comes up with something of a disturbing idea, it's even more disturbing to know that there are people who think exactly like that.

Claro que concuerdo contigo es una película con unas cuantas fallas en la trama que realmente no tiene mucho sentido y que hubiera sido mejor que los participantes hubieran actuado de otra manera pero bueno a las personas le gustó y le sacaron dos películas más una serie.
Efectivamente jeje la película carece de sentido en muchos momentos, pero al final a muchos los entretiene y les gusta, así que en teoría cumple si objetivo jejeje
