[ESP/ENG] The Silence Of The Lambs (1991) - Review: una película llena de aspectos positivos
Hola hive, hoy les vengo a hablar sobre una película que es considerada por muchos un gran clásico, sin embargo sinceramente nunca había tenido la oportunidad de verla hasta hace unos días, y considero que tiene bastantes puntos interesantes para hablar, así que por esta razón es que hoy les vengo a hablar de The Silence of The Lambs
The Silence of The Lambs es una película de suspenso psicológico lanzada en 1991, dirigida por Jonathan Demme y protagonizada por Jodie Foster y Anthony Hopkins. Esta película nos muestra Clarice, quien busca ayuda del doctor Lecter para utilizar su ingenio y lograr encontrar a un asesino que lleva el alias de Buffalo Bill. The silence of the lambs está basada en una novela homónima perteneciente a Thomas Harris. Ya habiendo dado un poco de contexto ahora si comencemos!
Primero siempre me gusta empezar hablando de lo que más me encanto de la película y en esta caso sin duda es su gran historia, tal vez al principio con la sinopsis uno piensa que va a ser algo “sencillo”, pero esta trama está construida con mucho cuidado y detalle, lo que hace que el resultado final sea realmente bueno y logre mantenernos enganchados de principio a fin, así que sin dudarlo ni un segundo la historia es de lo mejor de la película.
Otro aspecto que me dejó fascinado fue las actuaciones en general, pero sin duda el trabajo de los protagonistas Jodie Foster y Anthony Hopkins esta a otro nivel, la forma en el Anthony Hopkins logra dar vida a un personaje tan complejo como puede llegar a ser el doctor Lecter nos deja en claro sus grandes habilidades como actor, y es que este es un personaje que requiere de una actitud, unos gestos y una forma de hablar bastante marcada que es fundamental para generar esa tensión característica del personaje. (No por nada ambos ganaron el oscar a mejor actor/actriz con esta película)
Algo que siempre me parece fascinante de ver cuando visito películas clásicas es la dirección, es impresionante ver películas antiguas y notar como ha cambiado este aspecto, y ni siquiera es para comparar si antes era mejor o peor ni nada por el estilo, sino que me es sumamente interesante ver cuál era la visión de los planos y de la dirección de películas de esa época, además de que The Silence Of Lambs es una película que ha envejecido de maravilla, así que se habla muy bien de lo que fue esa película en ese momento.
También debo mencionar que The Silence of the Lambs tiene un ritmo bastante bueno, es decir que en las dos horas de película en ningún momento nos aburrimos, y eso que carece de momentos de acción, pero ni siquiera los echamos de menos, ya que al ser los diálogos tan interesantes y tan importantes, lo que nos interesa es ver cómo se va a desenlazar esta historia.
Sinceramente me cuesta buscarle un punto “malo” ha esta película y es que me dio todo lo que esperaba, una película de suspenso con una historia increíble, de ahí en adelante todo fue ganancia, pero realmente por más que le de vueltas no encuentro algo negativo.
En conclusión The Silence Of The Lambs me parece una película increíble, mucho mejor de lo que esperamos y es que tiene buenas actuaciones, buena trama y un ritmo que nos engancha de principio a fin, ¿que más podemos pedir?, sin duda me iré viendo las otras películas relacionadas a esta, porque me encanto. Totalmente recomendada!

Hello hive, today I come to talk about a movie that is considered by many a great classic, however honestly I had never had the opportunity to see it until a few days ago, and I think it has enough interesting points to talk about, so for this reason is that today I come to talk about The Silence of The Lambs.
The Silence of The Lambs is a psychological thriller released in 1991, directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. This film shows Clarice, who seeks help from Dr. Lecter to use her wits to find a killer who goes by the alias of Buffalo Bill. The silence of the lambs is based on a novel of the same name by Thomas Harris. Having given a bit of context, let's get started!
First I always like to start talking about what I love most about the film and in this case it is undoubtedly its great story, perhaps at first with the synopsis one thinks it will be something "simple", but this plot is built with great care and detail, which makes the end result is really good and manages to keep us hooked from start to finish, so without a second's hesitation the story is the best of the film.
Another aspect that left me fascinated was the performances in general, but undoubtedly the work of the protagonists Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins is at another level, the way in which Anthony Hopkins manages to give life to a character as complex as can be Dr. Lecter makes clear his great skills as an actor, and this is a character that requires an attitude, gestures and a way of speaking quite marked that is essential to generate that characteristic tension of the character. (Not for nothing both won the Oscar for best actor / actress with this film).
Something that I always find fascinating to see when I visit classic films is the direction, it is impressive to see old films and notice how this aspect has changed, and it is not even to compare if it was better or worse before or anything like that, but it is extremely interesting to see what was the vision of the shots and the direction of films of that time, plus The Silence Of Lambs is a film that has aged beautifully, so it speaks very well of what that film was at that time.
I should also mention that The Silence of the Lambs has a pretty good pace, that is to say that in the two hours of film at no time we get bored, and that lacks moments of action, but we do not even miss them, since the dialogues are so interesting and so important, what interests us is to see how this story is going to unravel.
Honestly I find it hard to find a "bad" point in this movie and it gave me everything I expected, a suspense movie with an incredible story, from then on everything was a gain, but really no matter how much I think about it I can't find anything negative.
In conclusion The Silence Of The Lambs seems to me an incredible movie, much better than we expected and it has good performances, good plot and a rhythm that hooks us from beginning to end, what more can we ask for, I will certainly go to see the other films related to this one, because I loved it. Totally recommended!

Se merece su estatus de clásico, los performances de Jodie Foster y Anthony Hopkins son brillantes y está plagada de momentos iconicos, una pena que ninguna de las "secuelas" haya dado la talla.

I love this movie, it is a classic and a masterpiece at the same time.
Esta película es un clásico, en principio no la entendí, luego pude dilucidar de que se trata. Es un film interesante que como bien dices nos engancha de principio a fin, suspenso hasta el final, y esa llamada en la última parte a Clarice, si que fue espeluznante. Saludos.
En cuanto al aspecto de las imágenes, es algo que también llama mi atención. Y si te vas a películas más antiguas puedes apreciar los primeros films grabados en formato cuadrado, luego el cinemascope, pasar de B&N a Technicolor hasta el widescreen y al IMAX de hoy. Es super interesante ver esto. Por otro lado, coincido contigo en las actuaciones, de antología realmente. Buena película, siempre es bueno recomendarla a quien no la conoce.
