It’s a great entertainment option for the weekend, offering a contrast to the routine—encouraging you to step outside it, experiment, and discover new things.

This movie really interested me, and I saw how it stood out by uniquely blending a mystery comedy with a deep and moving reflection on grief, friendship, and memory. Breaking the mold of typical animated children’s films, it starts off in a routine way and then gradually evolves through all the stages of coping with grief—the loss of a friend or someone they thought they could never lose at that moment.

Las ovejas detectives, fue estrenada el mes de mayo del 2026, y fue dirigida por Kyle Balda, considero que está película fue una mezcla de comedia, interrogante y de ficción con la interpretación de las ovejas, es una buena alternativa de entretenimiento para un fin y ver el contraste de como salir de la rutina, experimentar y conocer cosas nuevas.

Esta película me interesó mucho y vi como se destacó en mezclar de forma inusual una comedia de misterio con una profunda y conmovedora reflexión sobre el duelo, la amistad y la memoria, rompiendo el molde de las típicas cintas animadas infantiles, muestra un inicio rutinario y luego va evolucionando de cierta manera todas las etapas de superar un duelo, un amigo o alguien que creían imposible perder en ese momento.

I’d like to mention that this movie made me take another look at Hugh Jackman’s performance, which was minimal at first but gradually included small flashback scenes. He’s one of the standout actors in this film, but it takes me back to when I saw him in Wolverine and X-Men. The contrast between his earlier work and how he is now is a complete 180-degree turnaround, but let me tell you—it was excellent. It makes you eager to see more of this great actor in films like this.

As you can see from the trailer, this movie offers a lot to talk about: it highlights comedy, everyday life, mystery, new things to discover and experience, the evolution of each character, and overcoming life’s challenges.

Although this movie might seem like a children’s film, it’s actually geared more toward adults; it contains deeper reflections and hidden messages within the scenes—such as the clash of alternate realities, the way the characters cope with the loss of someone they considered their everything, how to face and overcome each situation, social rejection, and the acceptance of seeing things differently by hearing the other side of the story.

I believe they sought to create realistic stories that would have an impact—not just to show, but to prompt reflection and guide the audience toward embracing the values portrayed through the flock’s journey.

Me gustaría comentarte que está película me hizo ver la actuación nuevamente de Hugh Jackman, el cual fue al inicio poca pero a lo largo iban sacando pequeñas escenas de recuerdo, el es uno de los actores destacados en esta película, pero me remonta cuando ví su participación en Wolverine, X-men. El contraste de lo que grababa antes a como está ahora es un giro de 180 grados, pero déjenme decirles que fue muy buena, da la confianza de querer ver más de este grandioso actor en películas como estas.

Cómo pueden ver el trailer de esta película da mucho por hablar, resaltan la comedia, lo rutinario, el misterio, las nuevas cosas a descubrir y experimentar, la evolución de cada personaje y la superación de las etapas.

Está película, aunque parece para cine infantil, va orientada más a las personas adultas, tiene una reflexión y mensaje oculto en las escenas, como el choque de realidad alternativa, la manera de como superan el duelo por alguien que consideraban su todo, como enfrentar y superar cada situación, el rechazo social y la aceptación de mirar diferente al escuchar el lado de la historia.

Considero que intentaron hacer historias realistas y lo que podría causar impactos, no solo para mostrar sino para reflexionar y orientar al público la aceptación de estos valores que se muestran a través de la interpretación del rebaño.

These two scenes shown in the images have been meaningful to me. In the first one, it shows overcoming an obstacle to get started on what you want to achieve—putting fear aside and relying on your friend to make it to the other side. It’s pretty funny but leaves a clear and thought-provoking message. In the second image, it shows the sheep being accepted into the flock, since it had been rejected by everyone since birth—and this is one of the most thought-provoking lessons in the movie. I think it’s one of the most beautiful moments when you look at this message in the end. Besides being a comedy with elements of intrigue, it has many scenes that make you think from a perspective close to your own life.

I recommend this as a family movie—though it’s not aimed at a young audience due to its deeper themes—but it does have plenty of funny and entertaining scenes for the little ones in the family. There are so many funny moments with the flock that I wish there were a sequel so I could see more of them. It’s not your typical animal movie like the ones we’re used to seeing; the graphics and dialogue were excellent.

Estás dos escenas mostradas en las imágenes han sido relevantes para mí, en la primera porque muestra superación de un obstáculo para poder dar inicio a lo que quieres lograr, dejando el miedo al lado y apoyándote de tu amigo para llegar al otro lado, bastante graciosa pero deja un msj claro e interpretativo, en la segunda imagen muestra la aceptación de la oveja al rebaño, puesto que está desde que nació había sido rechazada por todas y es una de las lecciones más reflexivas en en la película y creo que más bonitas que hubo cuando al final se mira este pedazo de mensaje, además de ser una comedia y tener partes de intrigas, tiene muchas escenas que te hacen pensar más de una perspectiva cercana a tu vida.

Mi recomendación es una película familiar, aunque no orientada para un público infantil en modo de interpretación más profunda, pero si tiene muchas escenas graciosas y divertidas para los más pequeños de la familia, tiene muchas ocurrencias del rebaño que desearía hubiera una segunda parte para seguir mirando más de ellas, no es una típica película de animales como estamos acostumbrados a ver, los gráficos y aceptación de diálogos fueron excelentes.
