Hola cinéfilos como están ? Hoy les traigo un Review de una película que espere bastante, es la de La muerte del un Unicornio 🦄 una película que había esperado desde el año pasado cuando anunciaron a Jenna Ortega (Merlina) junto a Paul Rudd (antman) la iban a protagonizar , y que encima iba a tratar sobre como un padre e hija atropellaban a un unicornio 🦄 , una trama bastante ridícula y divertida , así que realmente quería ver qué tal estaba la película ,sobre todo con el cast, en donde participa también Will Poulter ( The maze runner, midsommar). Ya con la película estrenada y viéndola puede decir que no es lo que esperaba, pero esto te lo cuento más adelante sin spoilers y con spoilers, así que aquí abajo te dejo mi opinión.

Ridley está atrapada en medio de unas "vacaciones familiares" con su padre ,mientras esté va a un viaje de trabajo importante camino a conseguir el contrato que que cambiaría la vida , cuando de la nada, mientras van en su coche terminan atropellando a una especie de animal, tal es su sorpresa cuando al revisar que atropellaron se encuentran como un unicornio real 🦄.
La verdad sí vemos está sinopsis encontramos una historia bien fumada, una especie de o película tipo de monstruos parecida está idea de usar seres mitológicos como las hadas (los vigilantes ,en donde las hadas se vuelven seres grotescos y maliciosos ) o (el ritual, en donde el hijo de Loki dios de las travesuras va atormentando a los visitantes) o por otro lado irse a las historias bizarras y más de comedias de humor negro , en donde entraría las que se están haciendo muy populares actualmente como lisa Frankenstein ( un comedia negra con un teen Frankenstein) , o Abigail ( niña vampírica ) , o por supuesto las bizarras películas donde toman una referencia popular y lo transforman en una horror movie como la de Winnie Poe o Popeye.A mi parecer aquí se salen de esas opciones y terminaron en una especie de camino intermedio, intentando quedarse en el medio y no irse tanto a la parodia , sino a un humor más suave que alterna como muchos momentos de drama pero que sin llegar al punto de ser una parodia tanto como la película del " Mono" estrenada recientemente o una película demasiada terrorífica más del género de terror.

La idea de introducir la criatura mitológica del unicornio 🦄 y hacerla creíble me pareció muy bien lograda, el aspecto del unicornio se ve muy realista y no tiene un aspecto cringe, con un diseño no tan infantil si no más salvaje y a un estilo bestial, dándole un aspecto terrorífico a los unicornios mayores. La historia se centra en el momento de duelo que atraviesa Ridley, cuando muere su madre, y está termina conviviendo mucho más con su padre con quién tiene una relación bastante distante, eso lo vemos a través de las tensas interacciones que vive con él, y es que el hombre parece ser bastante distante y agobiado con la responsabilidad de conseguir una posición en su trabajo como abogado con un cliente exigente y este viaje para el sería la ocasión perfecta de lograrlo. Pero toda esta situación con un cadáver de un ser mítico en el carro mientras aparentan normalidad ante sus jefes, y toda la situación loca que están viviendo. Aquí es donde se pone interesante la cosa , eventos extraños empiezan a suceder en la casa de sus clientes, a medida que Ridley empieza a notar cambios extraños en ella luego de tocar el cuerno del unicornio que atropellaron, empieza a sospechar que este accidente va a tener muchas más consecuencias de lo que pensaba.

La película es bastante entretenida y tiene sus momentos de humor y también toca los temas de fantasía , pero sí como mencioné antes se siente que quedó en un espacio intermedio sin llegar a ser una película tirando más a la comedia,y otra que no se siente como una película de monstruos en sí tomandose tan enserio, por lo que a mí no me terminó de encantar tanto, tal vez las expectativas que le tenía me jugo en contra, pero siento que la resolución de los problemas en el último acto de la película se siente muy vacía y sin sentido incluso para una película de unicornios jaja , aunque el mejor aspecto de la película fue la forma que en la que retrataron la relación entre padre e hija ,luchando ambos con un duelo y como esto ha hecho que su relación sea cada vez más tensa y distante ,y como toda esta loca situación con el unicornio los llevo a unirse.En total le doy unos 3.5/5 ⭐, también tengo muchas ganas de ver la nueva película de Jenna Ortega con the weekend que ya he visto que le ha llovido bastante críticas, Pero cuéntenme a ustedes le gustó esta película ?
