Li Fong ,tiene que amoldarse a una nueva etapa en su vida ,cuando su madre una doctora termina mudandose de Beijing a Nueva York, tras una tragedia familiar, esto lleva a Li deje toda su carrera y estudio en el kung fu, entrenando con el legendario sensei el sr Han ( Jackie Chan), a pasar a tener problemas en su nueva escuela , y a adaptarse en este nuevo País. La película empieza siendo bastante genérica, aunque creo que las primeras escenas son de lo mejor, intentaron volver a la película de karate kid 5 de Jackie Chan con Jayden Smith, aquella que no pegó tanto, aquí vemos al maestro Han llevando su escuela de artes marciales e intentando ayudar a que su alumno Li , siga entrenando a escondidas de su madre, una mujer que deja muy en claro que ya no desea que Li siga participando en este deporte. La película la vi con mi papa ya que el es de la generación de las primeras películas y las disfrutó mucho, yo por otro lado soy fan de la serie , y me encantó mucho la sexta temporada ,y como lograron posicionar de nuevo la franquicia entre los expectadores, dándole de nuevo muchos fans por la nostalgia de las películas, así como nuevos expectadores que se interesaron por los personajes de la nueva generación y el toque cómico junto al karate y las coreografías de peleas sumamente increíbles. Así que realmente tenían demasiado a su favor para que la película funcionara , pero empezemos por lo positivo, las vibras nostalgicas definitivamente están allí, desde la paleta de colores hasta una especie de filtro que usan, el uso de Sr Han siendo un tutor comprensivo pero impresionante, así como las escenas en Beijing que son hermosas, y también que son muy fiel con lo de incluir el idioma original, muchas películas parecen que olvidan que no es natural para un nativo hablar inmediatamente todo el tiempo su segundo idioma, cuando lo más natural es que salga tu idioma nativo en momentos íntimos como cuando estás en tu casa o con tu familia.Otro detalle impresionante son las peleas , se ven muy bien presentadas, la coreografías son impresionantes y que es parte tan importante de las películas originales y de las series, o como diría mi papá, esas escenas de peleas hacían que uno quisiera salir de allí dando patadas sintiéndose karateca 🤣.

La verdad si me gustó las escenas de Daniel y El Srm Han aunque son pocas pareció algo bonito ,y nos da ese momento de "Leyendas" que es lo que buscaba la película, pero que realmente con lo cliché del guión se va perdiendo. Y este es mi reclamo, si ya tenías la atención con la última temporada de Cobra Kai, que incluso si no me equivoco se dividió hasta en dos partes, y que trajo a un montón de cameos con personajes de las películas y de hecho hasta les renovo la carrera a la mayoría, aquí parece un desperdicio para mí, no usar esa línea de la historia, sí tan solo lo hubieran ambientado como una película después de la última temporada, eligiendo traer a la nueva generación de los actores de cobra Kai ,a pelear o estudiar con el Sr Han ,y enfrentándose a Li , hubiera sido más entretenido, aunque supongo que lo que querían hacer era no ligar a la nueva generación de cobra Kai , con la línea de la última película Karate kid y hacer algo original, para mí se siente como una película demasiado genérica y aburrida, y pensé que podía ser porque yo me esperaba algo que tuviera que ver más con el universo de cobra Kai, pero mi papá coincidio conmigo de que fue bastante aburrida y repetitiva ,y que no aportó nada nuevo, así que sí una decepción 🫤 , creo que con las locuras que se les ocurrió a para la sexta temporada de cobra Kai en dónde hubo hasta explosiones de barcos a lo rápidos y furiosos , que hicieran una película tan aburrida y escrita a lo seguro me pareció triste, le doy unos 2/5⭐ porque las escenas de peleas sí estuvieron geniales , y la mitad de los diálogos están en Mandarín algo que aprecié,pero me decepciono bastante lo demás , ustedes la vieron?
