Maybe the desire for a space movie, or Brad Pitt, or someone's recommendation led me to watch "Ad Astra" Before jumping into this one, in my head, Interstellar and The Martian was going on with the genre of space-related sci-fi movies. To be honest, I wasn't really expecting to go beyond them as this kinda desire can't be met every time. So, overall I was expecting a good experience keeping aside any comparison and so I dived into it.

"Ad Astra" is a science fiction adventure film that takes you on a tour of the future possibilities in space. James Gray is the director of the film and he is also the writer along with Ethan Gross. One of the key things about this film is that it stars Brad Pitt which could be the interest of many behind watching this one.

Brad Pitt as Roy McBride who is a Major in the U.S Space Command, son of H. Clifford McBride, who was also a famous astronaut. From the start, we get a decent characteristic attitude from Roy, even in the deadliest situations his heartbeat doesn't go above 80 bpm, this can be understood from his way of talking and performing. Actually, the main part of the story is about his father, who was working on a project named Lima 29 years ago, whose mission was to search for intelligent life in space, and this project almost vanished after they reached Neptune 16 years of their mission. At present, something from the Lima project is causing mysterious power surges which are threatening the current infrastructure and projects and the source of these occurrences is expected from the anti-matters of The Lima Project which created a possibility that the project and Roy's father is alive somewhere in Neptune and it must be stopped. So, somehow he is on a mission to find his father who was dead to him for years and now destiny came in such a way, obviously, there are hindrances in the way that spices the storyline.

Now about the thoughts and opinions, first of all, I have realized the slow pace of the film. It is continued without any rush, very calmly and slowly. Not filled with extreme thrills and excitement that would give you an adrenalin rush like the ones I mentioned in the beginning, dragged them just to make you understand. But the visual and sound experience was great. I mean, I was enjoying this on my high-resolution monitor with the whole room being filled with darkness gave me an outstanding experience. The moment in the space was eye-catching, also the movie gives us a possibility of how the near future of space could be. The Moon could be a tourist destination for us, also such projects like Lima to explore space more and more is no rare possibility.

So yeah, it wass a good one, few might be expecting too much and get slapped but overall it would serve with a pleasnt experience. If you are planning to watch then go for it, Happy Watching!
