There have been lots of crime movies I have watched with an amazing storyline to praise, many of them were adapted from true stories too. Well, today I sat to watch a documentary on a crime that took place in Canada. I was like, "Oh! It's a real-life crime documentary, and might not be too spicy or thrilling like the movies." documentaries are mostly dependent on narration from a speaker and a few visuals on those stories. That's why I had that thought crossing my mind. Later on, I got hooked on the crime events and was craving for an ending. Damn! it was so interesting and chilling.

Don't F**k with Cats is a Netflix documentary based on a true crime docuseries. This is written and directed by Mark Lewis. As from the title we must have already guessed it's about hunting down a killer through the internet for his crimes.

Well, as the very beginning of the title states not to mess with cats, why so? Because it started with cats, someone who kills kittens makes and videos of those, publishes them on the Internet to draw attention toward him. Am not so animal lover so things didn't strike me in extreme but I am damn sure that if any real animal lover sits to watch this documentary will go completely mad just like the narrators of our story had gone and because of that they started hunting down the killer from the internet. That's the beginning of the documentary and their real agenda but things start to get worse.

Once, twice, and three times that the killer had posted videos of how he killed those little souls, he was like having fun while doing this kinda crime. Actually, those were the instincts of being a serial killer gradually, his excitement would demand more enjoyable things sooner and he would end up doing more devastating crimes and we saw the rest.

I won't go deep into the story, lemme me tell you a few things that drew my attention. The first thing to catch my attention was the works of those internet nerds, they were doing an OSINT investigation on him, yeah that type of investigation online is called OSINT, which means open-source intelligence, this documentary could be a good one for any OSINT enthusiast or newbie in this field. They were like all the way in to find out who the hell is this, also cracking a few of his misleads.

The next thing could be the killer himself, I mean, you would like to call him completely a psychopath, everything he did was nothing but some completely crazy act. COULD BE A SPOILER, he just recreated a film through all of his acts, especially the ending scenes, the 3rd episode would get you hooked so hard that you won't even realize when you were drowned in his psychopathic acts.

Lastly the guilt those internet nerds expressed if they had fueled his ambitions for doing something bigger by chasing him. Also, the audience was blamed for watching the whole documentary so eagerly about Luka Magnotta and questioned if we were complicit or not. He was going to get his desired attention in one way or the other, isn't it so? Well, that could be a debate for later but now, it was really an amazing documentary, maybe one of the best I have watched so far. If you have time and looking for something thrilling then go for this documentary, good one.
