The Invisible Guest is a Spanish thriller movie that was directed by Oriol Paulo. Mystery thriller films are always a sweet spot for me which I mention over and over again just to get a few more suggestions on this particular genre from my readers, hehe. This one is also suggested by someone who read my last movie review. And guess what, it was a perfect suggestion for me to take as I enjoyed the film.

I am in a dilemma to decide from where to start and how to put my words as the direction of the story gets twisted in such a way that anyone would be left perplexed. Thriller films are best enjoyed when things go beyond your expectations and every time your predictions go wrong. Those are the moments that give the real thrill of the movie. And this one is full of such thrills, and turns that would make one completely puzzled.

In short, this story gives us a couple who meets with a road accident on their way that kills a boy. To keep them away from this they try to hide it and that's where all the mess starts. When we try to run away from something we make mistakes one after another and keep lying one after another to cover them. No matter how hard we try to cover up the truths with lies it finds their way to light in one way or the other.

Here the key character Mario Casas as Adrian Doria gets accused of the murder of his lover Barbara Lennie aka Laura Vidal. And the movie starts with the intro of a defense attorney named Virginia Goodman who was hired by Adrian's lawyer Felix who was away from him at that moment. Virginia meets Adrian and tells him that they don't have much time as the opposition found a witness. So, he was told to narrate everything truly so that she could work on them and find a way out for him. He starts to narrate everything that we get to see as the story before us one by one, and that's where the movie begins. First, we get his part of the confession before us, and then the attorney plays her skills around his confession.

As I said before, I am in a dilemma about how to present the story before you, the lies that I got or the truth that was revealed, or the plain actual one that would be called a spoiler to ruin the whole fun of the movie. Let me put it as I did, a movie twisting the confession of the narrator who is accused of the crime. And on the other hand, the parents of that kid who was killed by this couple, one of the partners of the initial accident I mentioned about was murdered and the lover got accused of this and tried to get out of this without getting caught for the first mess too. How all of this is connected, who will untie the knots, and what they are going to do is all the thrill about.

My feelings on this one are kinda scattered, I am not being able to portray the first impression as I have watched a remake of this film earlier, yeap this is the second time for me to watch the story. My mistake was not to go with this actual one instead of that remake but I do still remember that first impression after completing the whole movie, that outstanding feedback from me for the whole thing in the end, and while watching this now I was trying to get drowned over and over again erasing the previous memory and at some point, I was successful to do so. The way the characters did their part was so smooth and amazing to go with. Anyone who loves to watch thriller genre films must watch this, it's worth watching.

@rafa-noor Watched the movie you suggested.

On the first scene when the attorney came to him I could figure out the possible ending that actually happened. I was thinking why is that feeling and then found out that I had already watched a remake of this, Amitab Bacchan was on that.

Love to read this review! How could you write within this short time! For me, it takes at least 2 days to compose a post -_-
Wish you could watch the Spanish version at first! The casting, directions all are mind blowing!
Now waiting for your next review!
